I'm totally new and starting to get into sewing because my 6 year old wants a ton of blankets and pillow for her dolls and plushies. 😂 so I'm looking into this machine. Since the instruction manual for the XM2701 is useless for a seamstress who has been using computerized sewing machines for years, your RUclips videos are just what I needed, and I learned so much! Maybe the tension on my computerized Singer got messed up because, for years, I was yanking the thread out wrong. You are the first person to tell me that. Thank you!

I can not express how grateful I am for your simple, thorough explanations and demonstrations in this video!! I’ve had my XM2701 for three whole years, and have been terrified to use it (“needle-through-my-finger” phobia!!), and I needed some clear handholding to get me started on the sewing journey I’ve been longing for. THIS WAS IT!! I learned the parts of my machine from your tour, then turned on the machine for the very first time while following your instructions, and sewed my first stitches on the “straight lines” version of the paper practice sheet you used!! THANK YOU for this wonderful gift you have given all of us newbies!! Heaven only knows the wardrobes that will be launched because of your instruction and help LOL! Now I’m going to go peek and see what other videos you have on your channel. Many blessings to you 🌹🌹🌹

I am so grateful for this instructional video. I recently purchased the Brother XM 2701. I'm a beginner sewer. I'm having issues around presser foot guidance. Your video showed me something I haven't seen in any other videos, and I've watched lots!! And that was related to NEEDLE POSITION. You pointed out that it was on the middle/width adjustment wheel. Somehow I'd missed that completely. So thank you. And any more information about the different presser feet that come in the kit with this machine, would be extremely helpful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

hi Mom, thank you SO much for making this video!!! I've been wanting to learn how to sew my own clothes and I sort of jumped the gun and bought this sewing machine without knowing a sewing needle from a knitting needle. You explain things wonderfully and I'm excited to watch more of your videos and get my handmade wardrobe going!! :)

hi, i just wanted to say your video has helped me out a ton! i enjoyed learning about the settings for the tension, width, and length. it has made a difference in my practice stitches. also, there was one tiny step i forgot when threading my machine, and it was putting the thread behind that tiny metal bar before putting it through the hole. you are awesome. thank you

I bought old Brother several years ago an the resale. Sews perfectly. I just pulled out to try an sew round paper circles together to make a garland for. It sews card stock paper perfectly. On Etsy the garland was 1.00 a foot. Shishhh. This Texas gramma is on it. I never knew this machine had an auto needle threader. Can’t wait to get sewing. God Bless Us All!!!

Your video is very helpful. You take things slowly and you get that camera in as close as you can. It really helped me make my first stitches on this new machine. I haven't sewn in a long time, and it feels fun again. Thank you!
