You have a great technique for getting your point across. I can tell you enjoy helping others and that is the best way for any business to operate. Congratulations and take care.
Since discovering your videos I have tackled 6 different sewing machines with thread "issues". The BEST one was a woman who was going to THROW OUT her machine because she said it was MAJORLY JAMMED and the hand wheel would NOT BUDGE.So, I went there, she only wanted $15 to avoid THROWING it OUT, took it home and in 25 minutes I had a Brother VX-1120 that WORKS LIKE NEW! Some kind of gooey substance was ALL around the bobbin case and had to be PRIED off GENTLY in order to get all the goo off! But now it went from being a $15 possible piece of trash to an Over $100 Value Piece of TREASURE! Your videos gave me that "little push" I needed to get over my fear I would "break it", AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
First.... let me tell you how incredibly happy I am to have found this video. I have taken my machine apart... cleaned the bobbin housing..which wasn't really that dirty... checked the timing... replaced the needle... and bobbin.. Then I saw this video. OMG the only thing that was wrong was that my thread was not hooked over the thread arm... Wow..
This video saved me a break down. I was working on a project and mid way I ran out of my bobbin. I refilled it and then this happened. I looked it up found this video fixed it and finished the project. Thank you so much!
Wow! Thank you for this video. I couldn’t find a video for this issue, so I stopped seeing for a bit, I prayed.. and then I ran into this video! The video that showed me exactly what I needed to learn. God always provides. Glory to God! 😃
You good sir are amazing, i cleaned bobbin casing, re threaded the bobbin about 5 times, never, never thought to check the top thread! Solved within 3.58 of watching your video. Thank you very kindly!
Very helpful instructions. I always like learning from people who include Godly teaching. We all need more of that. My you always be blessed and always be a blessing. Thank you.
Oh wowwwww. Congratulations 🏆🏆🏆 Very helpful and I truly APPRECIATE your kindness. That was my case. The worst part of it was that the little knob on the bobine holder of my BROTHER COMPAL SOVEREIGN, B R.O K E and I got pretty scared. The thread wasn't going fluidly but got tangled over the bobine and I heard a big jam. Too late. The damage was DONE. I compared my bobines and found my error. In my opinion I think it was because I accidentally put in an ordinary cheap bobine which wasn't meant for my Brother Machine. I've been using my machine since 1990 with the authentic bobine provided. One mistake and distraction and the machine is damaged. Thanks a million for your help. Thanks for sharing caring and making me smile.👍👍👍👍❤️🌹A big hug from your fan in France.
Amazing tutorial Sir. I learned so much and I am teaching my daughter to sew and can teach her how important knowing the mechanism of the machine is to the sewing itself. I have had this happen and did not know how I fixed it, so probably by chance re threaded the machine properly. Thank you very much.
That Singer sewing machine on the top left (your right) on the shelf behind you looks very similar to one I have that is no longer working. That is the best sewing machine I've ever used, a real workhorse. Thanks for the quiz! That was interesting!
I was at my whits end with my machine! Thank you for explaining how to fix it so carefully. Once I took off the foot plate and checked the bobbin holder, I noticed it was full of a ton of lint! One good clean later and it’s sewing beautifully. Thank you.
Sonia, I know most of us sew till we drop so I made it a habit when i first bought a machine and taught myself to sew that every time I sat down to begin a session of sewing, I thoroughly and carefully cleaned out my machine. I clean in every space my brush can go and run it down the upper thread guides too. So much can go wrong from a tiny piece of lint or a tiny thread caught somewhere it shouldn't be. Happy sewing!
Thank you! Your advice helped me find the cause of my thread bunching. It's the top and not the bottom thread. There was thread stuck in the thread line area at the top. I was so frustrated. I'm very good now. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for making this video!! My fabric was stuck and I was so frustrated!! I almost took the whole machine apart! Thank you very much!! Stay safe!!
So glad I found you today sir!! I too had a needle strike on my bobbin case ( in the bad spot too !) I never knew it was there, thanks to you I fixed it and it is now smooth as silk ! My Janome is purring once again :)
I laughed at finding out that in fact my top thread managed to jump out at step 4 (I have a Brother SE-400). I’m sure I thread it correctly because I finished three buttonholes right before the pulling and cracking started. Thank you so much for this informative video. 🤦🏻♀️
Wow this was so helpful! I was almost in tears because I couldn't figure out why my machine would jam immediately and have a big rats nest on the bottom of my fabric. Saving this video incase I need to trouble shoot again. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Yes I bought a new machine and had the same jam you demonstrated, having to take off the bobbin area cover each time to remove the threads, etc. My old machine never had this problem and when it kept happening, I noticed the needle plate had a slightly larger opening for the needle. So if you didn't start your sewing on your fabric well past the edge, it would get jammed every time. Also the bobbin case would get dislocated (never had that before either) and had to reset it so it would not get damaged. The happy ending to this story is I had to get rid of the new machine and reconditioned my old one - just couldn't put up with the constant frustration of the jamming!
Blessings to you, I had those two problems with my singer heavy duty. But I also had the bobin cover keep lifting up Everytime I am sewing.n I don't know what to do
Everything is literally perfect on my machine and it still does this! I’m trying to make a tote bag out of a chicken feed bag and I’m using nylon thread on a 90/14 needle. Stitch length is at 4. I’m using a foot that has extra feed dogs to help grip the material. Do I need a higher tension? It’s pretty low right now but when I got the machine a few years ago, my grandma told me not to mess with it.
I have had my Sapphire embroidery machine for two years. I had my machine in several times to my repairman with the problem, the pop up window, "rethread top thread," I have done this so much it gets very frustrating. Lots of times my thread will break. or I get the bird nest me, nothing ss. I should take it back to my repair person, after several attempts (while it was on 1 year warranty no results, I use good quality thread, tried several bobbins, several needles, rethreaded several times. I have been sewing for 50 years and have never had a problem that could not be fixed. Any suggestions? Thank you for listening, hope you can help me,
Thank you mate, i dont sew or own a sewing machine yet 🤣 but i want to learn & want to get a Janome mw3018 for my first machine which i think is the same as the US Janome Hd3000, now i know what to check if i see those symptoms 👍
Hi. I have a singer machine but i am not getting no tension from the knob that tell you how tight or how lose the tension should be.i hope you can help me solve this problem.
This video was great and I tried everything you mentioned, seems my thread is all in the correct places but I’m still getting long loops from the top thread, like it’s not pulling back up and it sees over many loops.
very well explained thanks.. I checked the points on my machine and, it wasn't mechanical, when i stripped it down i saw that the' feed dog shaft top gear' was broken in bits. So it needs a new part, is this easy to insert correct?
;; it’s funny I stumbled onto your channel. I was looking for machine fixers and whatnot. I have an old seam master by simplicity and i just whipped it out the basement. Cleaned it up and oiled it and whatnot. But for some reason I keep getting bunched up thread. And idk what to do. So im gonna watch all your videos. Lol. Hopefully try to fix it.
So glad I found you. Your instructions are so precise. Thank you for sharing this info. Newbie, subbed and clicked for future videos. BTW-love the reference to our Lord God. Thanks so much
I learned today absolutly Do not "help" Do not pull fabric. Its gonna be a hard habit to break, cuzz its a natural reaction to help, not get pukers. Thank you. 🤺💐
I purchased a Juki Excite brand new some years ago. I purchased it for quilting and unfortunately I can't use it for quilting because it does not handle batting. I can do regular sewing, but quilting NO! My Excite sits with little use over the past 13 yrs . I wind up doing QAYG with my Kenmore 385-19233. I've used my Juki Excite approximately 12-15 times over the past 13 yrs for repairing my clothes or just sewing a quilt top. The thread bunches up underneath the fabric. I've changed the tension, but when batting is introduced the problem commences. For straight sewing it works well. Had I known that this Juki would not be able to be used for quilting I would not have spent over $500 for it. I've cleaned the bobbin area, taking out the pieces and removing lint, etc. This has been the problem since the beginning.
I love your tips. I have a situation with my 4411, it has like a kick start or if I don't press the foot a bit hard it won't start. I would like it to be smoother start. Can yo uh help.
Sorry if this sounds crazy but how can you have a needle strike on a bobbin case, metal or plastic without breaking your needle constantly? Appreciate your tips on troubleshooting tension problems.
Thanks for the video. I will have to look at my machine more closely after this happens again to me. FYI the volume of the audio kept going up and down. Very hard to listen to
I have two Singer 15-91s. Tension assemblies are both clean. What I’m wondering about is why I have to have so much top stitch tension for the stitches to look right. I’m talking maxed out. I am using Coats and Clark outdoor rated thread and a size 18 needle into waxed canvas. But even seeing two layers of paper towel calls for high tension. Appreciate any tips.
thanks for sharing the knowledge. i am working through your productions. have you built the needle bars on a spit bar machine? cant figure how from the parts book. it's an LH 1182
Hi there I saw your video yesterday about thread knots in bobbin area I got same problem before and I changed bobbin case then it was ok but after 3 months same problem started now I can’t even do one stich as u told in your video that there is spring near the bobbin case which pushes during stitching that’s the place my machine’s thread is stucked up and make a knot please help me I don’t know what to to thanks.. kind regards my machine model is singer heavy duty 4423
I did all you show on how to fix the bobbin .Now my machine is sowing but it doesn’t go change the stitches in digs again or any other. Only sow estrech what can I do?
The problem I am having the beginning of the stitch the top thread will be loose but the rest of the stitch will be fine I always have to go back and pull the beginning of the top the to tighten it when I never had to do this before. So if i backward stitch then forward stitch it creates a loop of thread on the bottom because the first thread is not tight.
My singer 6251 has no arm, and from what I can tell it’s threaded perfectly but this is still happening. No matter what the tension is set at, the top thread is getting stuck around the bobbin casing. How do I fix this?
Do you know how to work on brother sewing machine fb1757t I'm having problems with my Bobbie thread in the meantime I will check on the tension thread for the top I ran across your video I enjoy this thank anyway
I have this kind of sewing machine, the problem is every time i switch to zigzag it doesn't catch the other side it appears only a straight sewing, i hope you can help me, I'm from the philippines. Thankyoy

How to fix the bobbin case from turning. My embroidery machine sounds like it's struggling to stitch. When I check the bobbin case it has turned all the way around.
my CE1100prw is a mess. I had not used it in a while and now it binds under pressure plate and sounds like it is grinding a little with hard to turn side knob. I cleaned it, oiled, changed needle. Help please!!
You have a great technique for getting your point across. I can tell you enjoy helping others and that is the best way for any business to operate.
