A whole lot of patience (required) Readjusments 1 tbsp ~ 2 1/4 Yeast (1 pkt yeast) 1.5 cup of milk ~ 2.0 - 2.5 cups of milk ***after mixing all ingredients dough must be sticky ish and super soft and not tough,if tough add more milk & butter but be careful not to over do it*** 40 mins wait for dough to rise 1 hour wait after rolling it into buns to rise right before putting it in oven(important step or your dinner rolls won't come out like dinner rolls but rocks instead) 400° 15mins ~ 25mins but constantly checking til honey brown (gold might be half cooked) ,different stoves different results. When you roll into balls,it'll look small but remember the 1 hour rise wait will double it in size. If it's not kneading into a dough on your Kitchen Aid Mixer, add a little butter. Knead it by hand a little before letting it rise for 40 mins. It's not sweet bun,it tastes like soft French bread but if you want it sweet 1.5 half- 1 cup sugar but add it after letting Yeast activate in that first 5 minutes in video above. TY!!

TIP: Be sure to use the same amount of your "homemade" version of cake flour (as instructed in your specific recipe). Hello I love your recipe I was wondering if I should open the top and bottom heaters in my oven or just the bottom one. Also if the answer is to open both do I need to add the top oven tray to shield the buns from the top broiler ?

as baker for 20 years i think it is not bake properly its under bake....reduce temp. and add baking time...and for mixing its best to put the butter at the last stage of mixing when the dough is almost elastic
Thanks for sharing, I will roll it into a long sausage then cut into 1/2 the divide into 1/2 again and then cut into 5 pieces in each roll. No need to weight it all the time. Happy Cooking
I just did this over last weekend. Used 4 cups all purpose flour and the bread came out beautifully! Definitely a one to use over and over again.

Kayla Jack why did you use evaporated milk instead of whole milk? Does it make a difference?

I tried the recipe and ended up adding a bit more liquid, and rising the dough for an hour in my oven with boiling water in a tray. It worked!
