Kids are supposed to be brats. They are supposed to laugh and cry and scream and yell and pout and drive you up the wall. Sometimes they are shy and outright refuse to talk. Seeing a well-mannered and polite and mature kid is a major red flag. I am glad that this anime explores it...
Why major red flag?? You think being brat means they are being entitled to be a rascal?? If ur kids are like that in Japan or South Korea, prepared for being shunned by your neighbors
@@arolimarcellinus8541 that’s ignorant man. It seems you don’t know much about kids, but I encourage you to do research to see how kids cannot manage their emotions well, especially in cases of abuse.
@@arolimarcellinus8541 kids are not supposed to be mature, because they are kids. And your "Japan and South Korea" statment makes no sense as I too am an asian. Kids are supposed to be carefree. Yes they need to be taught to be mature but they should never be forced to mature. Never.
Major red flag? Not really. You might want to read on articles about signs of child neglect and domestic violence, being well behaved aint part of the red flags.
It is kind of perfect because in early childhood education, there is something called "serve and return responses" where the parent of a child will respond to a child's interactions as if they were playing a game of catch, or ping pong. If the child reaches for your hand, you usually reach back. If an infant gurgles or babbles, usually a parent will talk back to them. Poor Kotaro didn't seem to get much of this and became pretty aware of. I'm surprised he cares so much about other people at that age too because sometimes it's still hard for children at the age of 5 or 6 to have empathy (some are still learning).
I really love this anime. Everything that Kotaro does appears to be nice and cute and then you find the reason behind it and it just gets you right in the feels. It’s even worse when you have personally lived through all that and know exactly how it feels.
I've seen this with some kids in my neighborhood growing up. Ignoring your children wrecks havoc on their development and causes them to lash out to get the love and attention they never received.
His mom probably have post partum and it's not weird to be like that, it's because of hormones and stuff. Which mean she needs help too, from her husband especially but since his husband allegedly beaten her, her situation just not get better. What I'm saying is, it's not her fault to be like that, it's not kotaro's fault too, she too need help but the situation isn't helping her
He emulates a character in a kids show called Tonosaman. It's his favorite show so he tries to emulate the protagonist as well as apply lessons learned in the show to real life.

Should no one be ignored especially a child.
Throwing a ball that goes uncaught as a metaphor for rejection is perfect

Any child doesn't deserve childhood like this
This is why Kotaro is my favorite character, I feel bad for him.
Poor boy needs a rest :(

Kotaro lives alone and kills me by second.

You can dodge the ball when you need to, just throw it back when you get the chance and the message will be received.
Damn its hurt in the kokoro
Why you making me cry man
Every damn time ….
I haven’t seen many bad sad parts from the RUclips clips but this one just
🥺😭
HIS EYES HAD ME CRYING
I wish that in the anime they kept that kotaro called karino “uncle” (well at least that’s what the english translation for the manga said)
I know this will be great but my heart fears watching it
it's worth it, trust me!
Feel the same man.. I can't go to work crying
Can you post the opening of Tonosaman? Plsss
As you asked🤗

Where did Kotaro learned how to talk like an old man from samurai era?
probably from shows or movies

This kid had more flosofy than socrates and platon together
I can't watch this anime ....i just can't ....this is to painfull.
Can I just adopt him please
Maybe his mom got depressive or mental issue to the point she neglected her son?
How did he end up alone ?! And why ?!
Lol
Why does Kôtarôs shirt say "GOD"?
You probably already watched the rest of the anime but it’s because a designer made it Kotaro thinks it’s tacky but loved it because of the designer.
