- This is an AWESOME live Fleetwood Mac/Lindsey performance from 1975!! This is from their AWESOME Largo, MD concert!! This one is called ~ I'm So Afraid (one of my all-time faves). I LOVE this!! Lindsey looks and sounds AWESOME!! Check out his outstanding guitar solo!!

He's one of the most underrated
No doubt, Lindsey is so underrated in that department it's crazy. He always kills it live too.
***** Yep , I even got 4chan's music board (/mu) who are a bunch of hipsters and generally young to admit his work is good, but just not cool enough to be seen listening to lol..screw it. They're quite a cool band in my opinion. Lindsey's guitar playing fingerpicked wasn't cutting through the live sound so much with this les paul, as you can hear. That's why he had to have custom rick turner models made.. but honestly in a way I pefer this thinned out tone.. it lets more of the band be heard. The way he plays now is with a lot of effects like various delay settings, chorus, etc... it's nice to change of course but I prefer a more simple tone, and what comes out of the rick turners he plays is a mean tone, still unmistakably his. Nobody else plays like him. He's the reason I learned electric guitar as a fingerpicker because when I was 16 (not that long ago) I didn't really know that picks were supposed to be more 'cutting'. Thanks Lindsey.

basically saved F. Mac from certain obscurity and a downward slide by bringing in a ton of charisma, GREAT songwriting & awesome stage presence. In turn, Nicks & Buckingham
got one of the greatest rhythm sections EVER!

Stevie's voice shines thru so strong...she was such a little power house....her voice gives me goosebumps all over! and LINDSEY was and is STILL the most under-rated guitarist of all time...Eric is pretty damn good too tho...lets give credit where credit is deserved poeple.... ;)

I saw this tour 12/19/75 Dave Mason headlined??!! Little Feat opened. Right before FM went thru the roof. You could just see and hear it happening. I do remember my jaw dropping at the forum when they played this. Great stuff. Thanks!

wish he would go back to playing a Les Paul again, I have seen him play one again recently here and there on solo things, but in the band context it always killed that other really expensive thing he plays
I still like his signature guitar. But all those early classic records are Les Paul and then the occasional tele!
For context, I grew up learning to play from Lindsey and Mark Knop...
I have both the Turner M1 and a slew of Les Pauls. My signature tone is based on the Les Paul, a hot Gibson (bridge 498T is my favorite for lead) with a set of assorted overdrive and organic fuzz devices which drive a Hitwatt amp.
If I plug in the Turner through that same rig, it sounds terrible. Thin, lifeless, and strange. As such, I don’t use the Turner much on stage but only in the studio; primarily for adding color and accents. It’s a very precise and beautifully articulate instrument.
So I tell you all of that to say, I think Lindsey had to completely change his backline in order to make the Turner work vs the early Les Paul years.
I see why Lindsey likes the Turner so much... it truly plays like an acoustic guitar but has the beef of a screaming electric. Though for my personal taste, my tone (and ears) will always be tuned to the Les Paul.

@jasoninla818 i agree with the first part, but i looove clapton. i don't know why so many people call him overrated. i LOVE steve howe and yes, but he called clapton overrated too. i would put him at number 3 behind hendrix and steve howe (also very underrated).
MARK JS.. yes.... you are correct that FM had a
bigger national profile than BN.. BUT- they
were pretty much down to the core trio of Fleetwood,and the 2 McVies..( John & Chris- if I am not mistaken).. having lost both Kirwan & Bob Welch not too long B4....
So, my point being that BN injected some much-needed fresh blood, glamor, and songwriting vigor into a band that was teetering on collapse.And of course, they went on to become MUCH more successful than
any previous incarnation of FM.
