I’ve always thought Christine had one of the best female rock voices of anyone. This takes me back to a great time in rock music. Look what we have today.
Drugs are bad for you and some of my Fondest Memories are of drugs or alcohol someone else abuse of them. I guess that's why some people say rock and roll is like a religion. Didn't matter whether you're talking about sports or rock and roll seems the majority of the best or my favorite , had plenty of sugar and their coffee and tea. I wonder if the country could heal from Trump and what the Republicans are doing if we all took a hit of blotter acid? 🤔 I can picture Trump crawling around on his hands and knees on his golf course licking the holes, THE BEST HOLE'S EVER! 🤤
This is classic in so many ways: Christine is having fun and out in front dancing a little, Mick drinking and without a beard, Stevie in jeans and John smoking a cigarette throughout the whole song - Those were the days! (Oh and, wait, "we have to tune up" - in the middle of the concert ). It would have been great to see Christine join Stevie out front more often and dancing! They were all so skinny too! Excellent - thanks for this rare footage.
So glad these 70s performance videos of the Mac are turning up, they show the band when the rejigged lineup was still new. They were on fire with the excitement of their blending of talents and collaborations. Bravo!
Yes. In the age of internet, this is one band from the 1970s that still lives up to its phenomenal sales and reputation. Exploring Fleetwood Mac is really rewarding because pretty much every album they released in the 1970s is rich with great music! And, there seem to be lots of extras out there, like this vid, which prove that they were a tight and talented live band. Christine McVie is still underrated at every level. Lindsey Buckingham is a uniquely intense guitarist and singer. The drummer and bassist are beyond words solid.
@@rorycunningham5457 What are you talking about? There IS no version of this song with Peter Green. This is written by Lindsey Buckingham and Christine Mcvie years after Peter Green left the band. JEEZE!!.
TheCrunchySopa - I love how early this live rendition of World Turning is ('75). So it's still pretty raw & ready and that's what makes it so good. As far as their best rendition of it is concerned...hmmm...not too sure of that one...
The 1975 Largo, Maryland show is can't miss viewing for all serious Fleetwood Mac fans. "World Turning" was a FM in concert standard in the 70s and 80s. This is the original long jam version. The rhythm section of John McVie/Mick Fleetwood really shines here. The band was on the road to promote their brand new self-titled Platinum selling album. This video captures the band enjoying their new found stardom. Enjoying for FM fans as well! Thanks for posting Biglindsayfan!
This represents a certain musical peak for the group. Also seemingly happier times for the two couples, the McVies and Stevie and Lindsey, whose relationships affected the band in so many ways.
Amen my Brother After 30 + years I finally got his finger picking retro southern blues patterns for this entire '75 recording.. It's in Standard Turning.. lol Buckingham is a Badass
I hear his predecessor - and FM founder - Peter Green was OK on a good night, too. In fact Buckingham and McVie credited this tune to a re write of Greeny's original 'World Keep on Turning' dating from 1968. A solo rendition of Peter's bluesier version - performed in Norway in 1969 - can still be found on YT today.
One of the best FM songs, if you have ever heard them do this live then you know what a a great rock performance sounds like. a classic 70's moment, dig those funky threads!
been playin this for years by peter greenes fm.peter being the best blues guitarist ive ever heard gives me shivers. but people who knock the latter day fm talk shite lyndsey is no slouch. and this is still world class.
Mr. Buckingham has become an ever-skilled-an-evocative musician, with a powerdul unique and characteristic sound. Obviously, he has a good, ol' time, live🙌
@clampandbush I've always felt the same way. If only I were born maybe 1962... what an amazing thing it must have been growing up on this music and running to the record store to buy albums.
As they begin playing - there's no recognition from the audience. GENIUS SONG! I wonder if this might have been one of the first times this song was performed publicly(?)
What a great time to be young - in college. Gosh it was so much fun. The music was fantastic. I missed those days. But I wouldn't be that young again for anything! ;)
Never seen Mick play lead bongo afore. World Turning is awesome. Bob had just left yeah? Lindsey and Stevie making their bones. John having a smoke crushing it and Christine so high yet angelic. Everywhere was still a ways off. Man

I agree ~ This is a great F.Mac song!! By the way, I thought that it was REALLY cool to be a fan of theirs in the 70's!! That's when I started to get into Lindsey and the Mac. (:
Thanks so much for sharing these.......really great trip down Memory Lane..=) Love Mick's drum solo on that African drum he got from Peter Green.....this was such a great show
Thanks very much for these posts. Its amazing to see FWM at this stage of this line up in their career, they were always an amazing live band. I went to see them at Wembley last year, and they were still on fire! Thanks again.
RIP Christine McVie. What a tremendous musician
I’ve always thought Christine had one of the best female rock voices of anyone. This takes me back to a great time in rock music. Look what we have today.
I'd rather not.
I believe there are still a lot of great musicians and bands out there most of whom we’ll never hear about because of the prevailing popular culture.
@@flatsixx Unfortunately, you are correct.
Thank you! You have to wade through lots of garbage to find a real tune!
Bless the MAC☮️
She was the back bone vocals for fleetwood Mac. She was a great artist like her husband. Go CHRISTY !!!!!
There will Never be another Songbird like Chris ever again. She was One of a kind, Special! RIP
Christine & Lindsey made some of the best music.
Their voices were meant to be heard together in a song.
All 5 combined were a creative force.
Buckingham and McVie's voices are a perfect blend. They should have sung more songs together than they did.
Its Amazing Epic .
Just a bunch of sweatt, smelly Boheniaists right? They just soappened to form a lil " Tribe", called Fleetwood Mac.
Go figure
They made an album together a few years ago.

Mick has insane drum skills. It’s like he finds hidden rhythms within the main groove.
Mick Fleetwood's THE EPITOME OF WHAT A DRUMMER SHALL B!!!!!

Rest in Peace , beautiful, blonde, great composer, soft rock woman , great voice Christine McVie , eternal ...
Christine, you rocked, you sang the blues. You were the songbird.

Love Christine 's voice . She is definitely credited for her music talent.
Love seeing Christine out in front of the audience and not behind her piano and she does great vocals with Lindsey
Christine you are loved and missed x

This is so incredible
Lindsey's playing and singing is so focused and so awesome in this concert!
I’ve watched this video a dozen times. I’ll probably watch it another dozen or more.
Lindsey is So attractive and talented, and its great to see Chris not behind a keyboard for a change. :)
I have always loved this song and this particular version is fantastic.

Yeah " Don't stop " and "Hold me" were great.

Christine is looking SO FINE here, have mercy!
Christine and Lindsey would often do this song live singing on the same mic. The jam was always fun.
This is the Fleetwood Mac I grew up with
damn christine looks and sounds great.
I miss Christine Mcvie a lot! She is incredible!
Christie ROCKS! AWESOME VOICE🤘LINDSEY IS ROCKIN THAT GUITAR ALSO!🤘EPIC!👏👏👏
Excellent with just Christie and Lindsey.
Was at that show,I certainly didn't expect what I saw(and heard) that night!
I was 10 when they performed at this concert. I'll never forget it.
Lindsey is awesome because he plays with a passion and you can tell it's not fake!
This is one of my all-time favorite performances by The Mac and perhaps the best one of World Turning.
Love the tune-up at the beginning seemed like part of the song like the fade in on the studio cut.
Also one of my most favourite FM songs but I think the version they did for the Midnight Special shades this one.
TheCrunchySopa - I love how early this live rendition of World Turning is ('75). So it's still pretty raw & ready and that's what makes it so good. As far as their best rendition of it is concerned...hmmm...not too sure of that one...
Man I hate I will never get to see Fleetwood Mac live... It looks like they had some pretty dope concerts
Love the guitar sound in "World Turning". Lindsay Buckingham does a really good job. I hope he rejoins Fleetwood Mac.
Thank You Lindsey, I love Y'all!

Oh, I thought he looked AWESOME back then!! However, I still think he does. (:
Love love this version

Lindsey Buckingham, one of the greatest finger picking rock guitarists of all time.

Extremely underrated player like Prince or Jerry Cantrell.

Great song ! One of the best (if not the best) performances i've ever seen by Fleetwood Mac . Thanks for the video guys . World Turning .
Go CHRISTIE!!!!!❤
Harkening back to their blues days on this jam.
July 76 at Schaefer Stadium !! Boz Scaggs & Eagles opened !!
The 2 dislikes for this video proves what I've suspected all along; there's some seriously deaf people out there.
Define " Deaf", please? If they were deaf, then what good is it for them to understand what kind of sounds are being produced? Just saying.... :)
Stevie sounds great in this video. Who the fuck has the balls to dislike this?
That top that Christine's wearing, I want it!
