    I remember being in middle school and on Friday nights me and my grandma would get snacks and sodas and watch this on tv! As I got into high school it became forensic files. I’m happy to say my grandmother is still with us. Although she is approaching the end of her journey. This show brings back so many evenings watching this show with my grandma! Thank you Unsolved Mysteries!

    Whoever left the message killed her, they assumed several days would pass before she was found but didn't count on her family being so urgent in their search for her. The killer was also familiar with Police protocol regarding missing persons and knew it would take days for a full scale search to begin and even longer to locate the body.

      Could it be a woman? The only reason I can think that someone put her in a barrel in the first place was to move her - roll her into the pond - which is also why she didn’t float to top - why she appeared halfway out to diver. It really sucks that we have so many LEO who don’t want to do detective work - and don’t want to spend their tax dollars on investigations. I bet they manage to pocket that money, however.

      @@Itsgotahemi I agree about Police, but to me it's how the government directs them too. For example, in a case in Victoria, Australia there has been a break through of somewhat. A couple was murdered about 18 months ago in remote Victoria and the Police found camera vision of a 4wd (4 wheel drive truck) they think is linked to the crime. Now, they show the video to everyone on TV last night and in the papers today and ask for anyone who knows someone with this distinct setup on a Nissan 4wd. I'm thinking, in Victoria, if you go 3km's over the speed limit on their freeway past a speed camera, they'll photo your car back and front, license plates and driver in perfect clear image and you'll get a fine.. There's no money in solving murders, so you get a shit picture...

      Maybe it was a friend of a cop that was behind her murder? Because someone came back to the crime scene and removed the barrel. When the cops came back in the morning, the barrel was gone. They gave ample time for whoever it was to get away with it. It's really common for police officers to cover up their own colleagues/friends corruption and protect their own people rather than the rest of the civilians.

    There's so many disturbing things about the investigation of Debbie Wolfe's death - the fact the cops didn’t bother to search the pond, how they deny the existence of the barrel, the clothes they say she was wearing (stuff she obviously never wore)....really scary, another case showing highly questionable behavior from detectives.

    • @arthurr739
      @arthurr739 5 лет назад +69

      At first I thought it was some kind of conspiracy but it seems like the police in charge of the case were just apathetic and awful at their job. They probably felt that if they labeled her death a homicide it would take up too much time and manpower to investigate so they decided to sweep it under the rug to make life easier for themselves. The one thing that does contradict my theory is the clothes. If the police were behind supplying those clothes then that would make the mystery behind her death even more sinister.

On the one hand, they get loads of missing person reports that nearly all resolve themselves in a matter of hours or days, but on the other hand, they need a way to better evaluate what is potentially a real emergency that needs immediate action. It is deemed that she actually heard from a few people after this show aired and it is highly suggested that as of 1990 her father was still alive. It is stated that his plane was shot down and the two men on board were taking on some Cuba ship. From there imprisoned and thus a few men recall meeting them and seeing them. SHERRY SULLIVAN was awarded in 2009 a $21,000,000.00 settlement and in 2016 she refiled asking the court to enforce the payment; however, after making her jump thru a bunch of hoops and requests proofs of stuff the court decided they couldn't enforce the payout because parts of her information was hearsay, she had no way of really proving her father was victim to an "extrajudicial killing", and the court she filed with has no jurisdiction to enforce Cuba to pay her.

      There's so much more to this story that is indirectly and directly connected to much of the shady business the American government conducted beyond our borders as well as within in the 50's and 60's and well beyond. The web of lies that have been weaved are so complex we'll never know the truth no matter how much research is conducted or how many FOIA requests are made. By the time we see any declassified documents information within will be heavily redacted and maybe even altered.

    So many police departments on this and other similar shows seem to spend more time coming up with ways not to do their jobs than actually doing the jobs they're paid to do. It's easier to classify something as an accident or suicide than to have to investigate it as a homicide even though to nearly everyone else's eyes it seems homicide is a distinct possibility. Or they give the spiel about "being required" to wait 24-72 hours (the time is a moving target) before they will consider someone a missing person, loosing vital, critical time to gather evidence, interview witnesses and find the missing person. (At least I believe there are now guidelines in which they have to respond immediately to a report of a missing child.)

    I like the prison escape story. It's so cool that they stayed together! Interesting love story

    It just astounds me that women (or anyone) like Sandra Beeman would throw it all away for a prisoner.

      What is so hard for me to understand is that they would have been together sooner if she'd just waited for him to serve his time for a lower level crime and then started dating.

    Update on Conradina Olson:
    Unresolved. Sadly, on October 4, 2021, Geneva Fuchser passed away at the age of ninety. She never found out what happened to her grandmother.

    Theory for Debbie: one of the two people of interest did it because he couldn't take no for an answer (like the loser he is) i believe he tried to take her anyway and she fought so he killed her then realizing what he did he put her in the barrell to hide her and then he call her house to leave that obvious cover phone message he was expecting no one to come over for days so his message would work but her mom came over not long after found the message earlier than wanted one dude was apparently cleared the other was not

    Binge watching....at this point in the series....UM was clearly on a roll. You want to watch it to the very last line.
