The scene with the slamming screen door scared the life out of me when I was a kid. This show gave me sleepless nights as a kid. Now I just love this show
Every once in a while an episode would really make me scared as a child. A few times, annoyed, my mom suggested I should not watch it anymore and I would throw a fit. Even then when it sometimes scared me, I still loved it.
Samuel's Ghost scared the fuck out of me as a child. Especially when the kid runs out of the house and that creepy old man watches him through the window. I hate that this one wasn't included in the Ghost DVD set. I was so disappointed when I watched all four discs and Samuel's Ghost wasn't included.
I had only ever seen unsolved mystery with dennis fereena and then found these on you tube and there brilliant a been glued 2 then even staying up most of night watching them there so good ❤Americans culture ❤
(Frank) Victor Schmon's story is probably the saddest story Unsolved Mysteries ever aired. That graduation part tears me up every time; poor guy. Imagine the hope building up to that point--changing your name to the birth name you recently discovered; the desperation. I don't know how he didn't just fall apart after that This episode aired in 1990 & Mr. Schmon passed away in 1995. Since there was never an update added, we're left to assume he was never contacted by any remaining family members. I hope he found the answers & love he was searching for in the next life. RIP 🙏🏾🕊
Patrick Thomas Mitchell, Stephen Reid, and Lionel Wright were the Stop Watch Gang. What an interesting story. Reid and Mitchell both wrote books. In Mitchells last letter to Reid before he died he said "we've lived a life."
I love seeing the comments of all of those who watched this show as kids and were scared by the ghost and UFO episodes. I am definitely in that camp. I especially remember when these episodes would air on really stormy nights. That was the best. What is funny though, fast forward some 30 years, I would get the DVDs for this, the ghost stories and UFOs, and this was working in Visual Effects. Now this stuff can easily be created in After Effects. In fact, this show was one of the reasons why I had an interest in VFX. And of course, being an adult, and having lived through stuff, it's no longer scary, just entertaining.
Frank/Victor, i feel so 😪 sorry for you. Being a new father to a son, when i hug him, i all most cry. i love him so much. I feel so bad for the kids who never know love. 😢
Victor "Frank" or "Vic" Shimon's mother passed away after giving birth to him in 1921. His dad passed away in 1940. He had a sister named Emma Simon Rybicki, but she passed away in 1987. Victor passed away 5/16/1995 at age 74.

This one scared the hell out of me as a kid. I have no idea why they didn’t include this one on the Ghosts DVD set they released in 2005.

The music that plays during Frank’s case, should be renamed, The Orphan Song. They only play it when the case is about Orphans lol.
Haven't seen this episode in over 25 years. Scared the jeepers outta me as a kid!
“He maybe in a community near you”
Felt really bad for Victor/Frank. Poor dear.

Mr. Stack had such a reassuring voice despite the somewhat creepy episodes!
They were not ghosts. There is no such thing as ghosts. They were demons.

3 million from the robberies. No wonder why he got into the bank robbing business.
Those men are so brave
Joseph Weldon Smith is about 86 and is still in prison in Nevada today. You can view him on the Nevada department of corrections site.
Victor looks like he has some Indian blood in him.
Reaganomincs.
Victor AKA Frank had a hard upbringing 🤔
Sounds like a 21st century punishment “practice your pronouns” lol
