Well, as good as their products are they are most more appropriately considered as an homage-maker and not an actual brand that creates their own designs.
It didn't make our top 20 but when we update the article on our site we'll surely include them as well. And maybe make a new video with other recommendations.
How did Monta not make the list? Especially considering that both Ball and Hamilton are on the list. Ball and Hamilton are Swiss owned, Swiss operated, and manufactured in Switzerland.
America has/had great watches, I own a Bulova Accutron Spaceview, great watch still working fine after nearly 60 years, a Tornek-Rayville mil-ship vintage, an electronic red LED Wittnauer, a few electric Timex and a Pulsar P4, all are amazing watches. MKII are also very nice and relatively "cheap" for the quality, Brew are also very nice watches,
Thanks for this vid. And especially for introducing me Resco Instruments, Kobold and RGM Watch Co., 3 brands that I did not know. Perhaps you could have replaced Hamilton, which is now more Swiss than American, with Vaer on your list.
I see that you did your homework, though I had to wait to the end to see it. I said if RGM Watch Company isn't on the list then something is mighty wrong with the video. Thanks for the video.
This series of articles & videos about watch brands is not only about affordable watchmakers. We tried to include both affordable and more high-end options to get an idea about which are the most important watchmakers from each country. We have lots of different videos on our channel with affordable watch recommendations.
Vaer is making some fantastic watches too.
Long Island Watch Co.'s Islander Watch brand also needs mention! I own two and can attest to their quality and value.
I agree and was thinking the same!
Bertucci probably warrants a mention here for their exceptionally durable and reasonably priced field watches.
Much more so than shinola and I'm from metro Detroit
You forgot to mention Islander Watches ! That's where the quality is in every little thing and the love for the watch.

Nice. But Vaer deserves a place on the list.

Great video, you should make a second one, since Jacob & Co is not mentioned, also Islander is another great brand.
Thanks for the great video. These are some very nice watches.
My favorite is Ball. They are amazing!

Thanks for your suggestion. For us Hamilton still is, at its heart, an American brand, even though they moved to Switzerland in 1969.
Resco is amazing! I own 2, and they have the absolute best customer service!
My Resco watches are amazing. So great to see them get some love.
I really like the ball coloured loom stuff
Very informative video!
WOW i had no idea. Should have included price point.

Weiss & Brew are the 2 american watch brands i like 👍 😊
Would add Vaer to this list
This channel is called "Watches You Can Afford" and they're highlighting $6500 watches.
Should be called "Watches who can afford?"

That is why I wonder why the didn't mention Aragon from Florida. Affordable and original design.
no Fossil ?
Great video!
Although it may not be considered "high end" Aragon is made in Miami Florida
Isn't Timex a US watch brand as well?
they had it at #14 on the list
Isn’t kobold involved in some scandal and shut down?
Good list, but...Jack Mason!!!!???
04:42 Breguet?
No love for Armitron?
Coralado!?
Ball is now a Swiss made and owned watch company as are many of these companies no longer American
Why do these American watch’s have Swiss made on them..
Because the brands were produced in America, then moved production to Switzerland.
A bunch of them say Swiss Made right on them
I do know s$&* from Shinola..
It's amazing that none of these watches contain american designed and made calibers.
Any fool can make the rest.
Funny how you are talking about American watches and yet you have a British accent. Couldn't you find an American to do this video?
North Americans and British people are of the same ethinicity. They just speak with different accents and/or dialects, and sometimes language.
