Hello everyone! I've started a new channel called "Roar!" where I take on challenges and push myself out of my comfort zone. You can check it out here: ruclips.net/user/roarrawr
True i only found out last year when i came onboard a cargo ship and the captain was blasting Sabaton and Rammstein and thats when i found out i was a metalhead.
@David Campbell sounds rough. My cousin rolled his semi and walked away from it. After they got him to the hospital, he had huge cuts on his face and skull, they found out his neck and back were broke in 3 spots in total. He had to be in a Halo for a while. It was rough
As good as Corey is, he sounded a bit off at the start. Absolutely fine, but when I heard Chris doing the screams in the chorus, it was pretty obvious he was handling some of them to give Corey a break. Such is metal.
Corey Taylor: "You'll realize I'm not your devil..." Beth Roars: "I love it, it's so refined" Corey: "I'M NOT YOUR DEVIL ANYMORE!!!" Beth: "yet terrifying..."
I love how vocal coaches are slowly being turned to heavy metal by us metalheads. Also how they get scared at first and end up loving it (most of the time)
If only more people would give it ago. I bought my kids up on Alternative, rock & metal. It makes me soooo proud to hear them sing along to what I play.
@@Baka_Oppai that's a good point, I never saw it from that perspective, I have seen channels that listen to Metal and they say "interesting but not my thing", I cant name one from the top of my head doe
Fun fact: when Slipknot toured Australia in 2008 with Machine Head, my wife threw her spare bra on the stage at the end of the Slipknot set and Clown put it on while Sid played with the cups. Good times.
To be fair, Corey did take the bridge. Just sounded like Chris was taking some of the load off of Corey, his voice sounded a bit rough at the start (I mean that relative to his "normal" voice).
Vocal coach videos- guilty pleasure Slipknots- always a pleasure A gorgeous redhead doing a vocal coach video of slipknots.... my new fave thing! Beth you’re stunnin
The best part of this reaction is your genuine glee. Watching you more-or-less giggle and wiggle at 5:59 was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen...I could totally see you at a metal concert.
Great song great breakdown. I learn something new about vocals in pretty much every one of your videos. Props to all the fans out there picking such wicked singers for her to analyze as well. Love that she always finds something nice to say about everybody and tends to critique rather than criticize if she does have any additions. Teachers like you are the best to learn from
My favorite part about Corey Taylor is his harmony then just comes in and thrashes the vocals. Guy is a genius. Along side with Maynard , Corey are my all time favorites.
@Peter Lustig Hey Pete, Just say I'm an idiot a billion times.. Singer can't sing?? Pop??? Your a 1st class dumbass my friend.. Corey Taylor is Legend!
@Peter Lustig you do know Joey left the band like 5 years ago right? As for them being a "pop" band.... They are evolving with their age and have grown up a lot since the early days. Not every song needs to sound like Disasterpiece...
I grew up 30 min from Des Moines and have watched them grow from the beginning with Anders as the lead singer. They have came so far from the small clubs I originally saw them in. One of the best bands I've ever seen live.
I absolutely love your appreciation for Corey Taylor's vocals. So many people just hear the screaming or deep tones and ignore it. Thank you for showing how much you love his singing!
Slipknot shows are absolutely amazing. The energy, the intensity is just so addictive. So far have been to 4 of their gigs, and when I can afford too again I will go to more :D

how many drums do you need on stage ?
Slipknot: yes
Glos narodu if you have more drummers than members of all the bands on the tour you should be set

Ehh some people will just never get into it
I agree i didn't know i was a metalhead until last year
I would give this comment a like, but I see it is perfectly set at 666.... I will not disturb such perfection.
*I think Beth is the only person in history to ever said that Corey sings like a puppy*
How dare she
To think I started making sounds as a kid and dog sounds and now I can make myself do screaming a lot it works cartoons work as well 😂
Sometimes he does sound like a puppy😂😂
@captain carson i'm glad
Hes fine with it ;)
"Refined, yet terrifying"
That description of Corey's voice is perfect for Slipknot as a whole.

Lol. He does have a huge neck
But he broke his neck
bliind.expo. Yes he did we saw they after his surgery with the neck brace still on ! I have seen him with stone sour also !
He also didn't even realize he broke it, I'd say that says a lot about his neck.

Now compare this to his last Rock am Ring concert from 3 or 4 days ago. Since he quit smoking his vocal healed a lot and is more powerful.

Cory Taylor’s voice so angelic!!!! Try any song from Iowa album
Oh God oh fuck

Im quite partial to the self-titled album. But Iowa has some iconic songs as well.

Disasterpiece is such a beautiful song
You should listen to Corey’s acoustic performance of Snuff.

Why?
i love how the metal community always raid this type of channels and even the creators loves it. Are we reviving metal with this?
Metal never needed reviving. We're just gathering the masses.
Metal never died
I dunno, maybe not this one but it seems to me Ive never seen a channel like this that says the music is bad. They get paid to "like" everything.

And now that he stop smoking his voice sounds better then ever. IMO
He even said in an interview that stopping smoking is the biggest reason his range and tonal control improved
Same reason Axl Quit .
Recabite Jehonadab Axl really needs a voice in his age and his past years of singing. Eek.
Corey Taylor is one of the best, well-rounded, quality singers in a long time.
I prefer StoneSour, but SlipKnot are amazing.
Snuff is a pretty good song from slipknot if you haven't heard it. It's a very tame song and reminds me alot of StoneSour's calmer stuff.
