    Like this one very much! Think it would be a comfortable home to live in and has very good storage downstairs. Always looking for a place for a stand alone freezer, a place to be during bad weather and a place to store the Christmas tree for the 11 months it is not in service. All and all a nice home!

    I love the modern home! And I usually am attracted to a very traditional design, but this home screams modern and young ! I can see teenagers loving their own level downstairs to hang with with their friends, and I’d like the main level to hang with mine.

    Hi Tim, if you are still in Kansas, try some Gates BBQ. If it is still there,. It used to be good in the early 90's. There used to be a line going all the way down the street, the line did move fast. Meat falling off the bones, no sauce needed, even though sauce was good.
    This is a lovely home, the front door really pops, and it matches her artwork.

    Wow beautiful home complete inspire in the 60's with the Mid Modern Century Homes era. Amazing use of the patterns and colors. Complete surprise because in many states the government don't allowed anymore to building houses like that. I try did it in California and i have to change to a regular Tuscany style instead.😢😢😢😢😢

    The thing I think is weird is the open ceiling in the master water closet. It seems like it would just make echoes. Enclose that thing and add a big exhaust fan.

    I thought it was "oh-LAW-thee" at first, too. That's what it looks like. I only know this because the college I used to announce sports for had a basketball player who was from there: it's pronounced oh-LAY-thah.

  • @Agent00J

    House was awesome for the most part.
    Only gripe: The walls in the master bath not continuing all the way up is a bit of a problem - moisture/steam from the shower going over to all the clothes in the closet could introduce mold. And then there's the open top toilet area. Sometimes people need to "blow up" the bathroom. It happens. BUT nobody else should have to suffer with the potentially hazardous smells floating over the open walls. Lol
    Nice house though. Really enjoyed the tour.

    I absolutely actually really love the layout of this place. My favorite parts are the built-ins in the closets. I would turn that basement into an apartment. There is one thing wrong, though. There's no tub in the master bathroom.

    A little concerned about the heat and humidity that may find it's way up to the angular ceilings in the bathroom. I don't like the board from the cabinet to the floor in the kitchen in the fridge cubby next to the oddly placed microwave. The side of the fridge is for magnets and notes and such. I like the deck, the flooring, the basement stairway rail or bannister, and the windows. Not a fan of the tunnel like entryway out front. I like the size of the master bath, very much dislike the way it is broken up. Plenty of room in the master bath, perhaps just in the shower area, to have a nice jacuzzi tub for the mrs. The open top water closet is just, well, weird. I like the deadbolt from the mudroom to the garage, often overlooked. The mudroom/laundry room needs someplace to hang both your coats from coming in, as well as the clean laundry as you fold and hang your clean clothes. The cabinet opened in that room at 14:33 also showed that somebody had just guessed on wall stud placement, with the screw hole placement at the back both scattered and excessive in mounting the cabinet.
    Overall nice home with modern flair and contemporary styling, with plenty of ways for the prospective owners to tweak the layout of some rooms just slightly in order to make it their own. Some of the finish work like the cabinet mounting in the mudroom and the pipe through the wall into the basement closet could be cleaned up, but these are generally a subcontractor issues that can be addressed and remedied. A well deserved "podium" finish in the parade of homes, congratulations.

    Just a little funny how in the bathroom the toilet has its own space with a door, but the top is wide open to the rest of the bathroom...LOL.

    I love the home. The only con is I don't care for the master closet is past the bathroom. So you have to walk through the bathroom to get a dress or whatever clothing 🤔 in the closet

    The main floor is beautiful though I prefer the master closet and water closet be fully enclosed for privacy and to protect fabrics.
    The downstairs bedrooms seem depressing by not having full views and I would prefer having children sleeping upstairs.

    This house just screams MID-CENTURY MODERN! It's retro style popular from the 1950-1960's especially in California. From the kitchen backsplash to the walls that don't reach the ceiling in the master bath all have been staples of mid-century design. All it needs an Eames lounge chair to complete the look.

    • @artistdeb
      @artistdeb 21 день назад

      Thank you for the positive comments about our new home design. People often do describe it as having a Mid Century vibe as I think it’s the closest description they can come up with. That era definitely inspired the my choice of furnishings and several of the abstracted paintings I created just for this space.

    I like that house, but this has a lot of poinst of bad design from the architects that make it not functional at all, if I built it definitely I will change spaces and of course doors positions that make bad circulation. And this will be nice in a sloppy land to have better use of the down level to integrate it with the yard or make it integrate with the main level integrate with the yard because like this even of the both level not had direct communication with the yard 😢😢😢😢.

    Not transom windows, clerestory windows.
    Don’t understand those shallow tubs; not usable for bathing. Why?
    Not a fan of those “snap” doors. Noisy.

  • @ImBooX2
    @ImBooX2 21 день назад +1

    It is okay in the south but up north you don't want the low pitch rooflines. I know, I have a low pitch modern I inheirited and it cost more to have it properly shingled and maintained. You get half the life out of the roof covering. Snow loads can be another issue.
    Put the microwave in the pantry. It sets too high and too far back where it is. I HATE the incomplete wall in the Master Bath going to the closet. Talk about damp clothes, YUCK. It is bad enough having the closet off the bathroom and then they add that brain dead design feature...it is right by the steamy shower, geez. Oh, I don't like that open shower, no doubt I'd splash outside the shower, maybe even up and over the wall into the closet.
    This place needs a Powder Room on the First and in the Basement. No place to put it though on the First unless you redo the front Bedroom, Bathroom, and Closet area. Move the Laundry over there and put in a Powder Room. Make the Mudroom more usable without the Laundry there. Put a Coat Closet where the washer and dryer now are. There are more changes in those two areas but enough 'splainin' for now.

    A very modern house. Modern kitchen. It was ruined by an ugly gas stove. Good layout of the 1st floor. But I didn’t like the basement at all. I wouldn't want my children to sleep in the basement.
