Guys trust me I saw one in person and this car is absolutely stunning. It catches your eye like a bright red super car. The size is also much larger in person. It looks small on camera but is definitely as large as a Porsche Macan
I ordered one of these for my wife, in place of a p400 velar HSE that just wasn’t getting built. I didn’t realize it was that quick. Looks even quicker than my 2022 f-pace svr
Guys, let's stop saying that this car is inspired by the Puma, it is Ford who drew inspiration from the Maserati design, specifically from the Maserati 3200 GT which is a car from 1998. Obviously the Puma is a consumer car and is much more famous. I can agree that Maserati, which was simply inspired by its classic model, could have avoided betting on this design that has been copied by many, but it remains an original MASERATI design!
Did you really convince yourself that's true? There have been many cars with similar headlight design, nothing groundbreaking about that Maserati. Look at Ferraris and Aston Martins from 60s, or Jaguars, E-type for example, that's where that sort of design originates from. The 3200 GT is just a modern interpretation of that. I could say the same about the DB7 Aston. And no matter what you say, this came after Puma and everyone who sees it first thinks of Puma. To say it's an original Maserati 3200 GT design is a straight up lie, or pure ignorance, you tell me. You're crazy if you think Ford looked at the 3200 gt when designing the Puma :)
Maserati doesn't have anything to be ashamed of with this Grecale so I don't understand the "no numbers" thing... Loving the sound of this! Interior looks really good too!
Merry Christmas to you, AutoTopNL! (And to all the viewers and subscribers as well.) Thank you so much for the amazing content all around the year! Best wishes to you for 2023!
The Grecale might inherit Continental’s fly by wire brake system from the Stelvio. That explains the (lack of) feeling. It needs some get used to. But if the brakes are the same Brembo from the Stelvio, they’re very efficient and we can trust them alright.
It's very strange to me when a brand restricts things like who can review their cars or how you can take measurements etc because eventually a reviewer will get a customer-owned car and do those things, and if it turns out the brands statements weren't accurate then it will be 100x worse.
If you have the money to spend Italian luxury cars are so exotic , far much better than all those German inspireless cars. This is car emotion. I would go for the Guilia q4, best sport sedan you can buy now.
The Nettuno V6 is still a close relative of a Ferrari engine. As Jeremy Clarkson pointed out in the Giulia QV review, the new Alfa V6 is none other than the Portofino and Roma's V8, with two cylinders chopped off. This new Nettuno V6 is just the latest development of what was already a great V8 and V6 family. The structure of the engine, the positioning of turbochargers, inlets and outlets is very similar and you can tell. The stroke for all these engines is 82mm, while the bore is 86.5 for Ferrari's V8 and Alfa V6, upgraded here to 88mm. (Making a 1.5mm larger bore is not a hard modification, that's what Brabus does on their "900" series of MB V12 engines, one by one, so it's relatively easy to start production of thousands of units with this modification). It's still funny to me that "officially" they want to say they are all different engines, as if it were a bad thing to say you're using a Ferrari-derived engine. Everyone I spoke to in Italy who knows about cars finds that really funny, too.

Stava facendo una battuta sulla somiglianza con un nuovo SUV della Ford, che si chiama Puma. Più tardi ha detto che ovviamente scherzava e il richiamo stilistico è alla Maserati 3200GT.
Go and look at Nurburgring times. When it came out, Stelvio became fastest Suv in the world leaving Nissan GTR and Ferrraris behind. After some time Mercedes beat, then came Urus/Q5 with more power as well as latest Cayenne. There is nowhere BMW to be seen, it was left to dust be it competition, xdrive or whatever else. Also, Q5 is out of game and never really was. Volvo and handling? You must be joking, right?
Fine test - but I do not understand, when you selecting "Drive" why find a (stupid) "button", when pulling right hand shift paddel can do the same thing - as you can do in other italian cars with shift paddels?
I drove many times the Alfaromeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio and it doesn't falling apart at all and the handle is superb compared to some sport coup cars at he maximum speed as well. It does 3.6 0-100. i don't believe you that the MASERATI doesn't have a good brake, I have never ever tested an Italian car having issue with the brake.
The brake pedal in normal use, its basically just a sensor. The feeling you get has nothing to do with the actual braking. It's just simulated. I had the chance to drive this car, and i can confirm it feels kinda weird
Speed seems electronically limited like on Giulia Q4 (2 litres 4x4 not Quadrifoglio) I let modified this setting to 258 km/h or 160 mp/h (I do not modified the car just the limiter to be aligned with common 250/155 value)
It's impossible to better review this Trofeo, I am impressed, for GOOD and for BAD, I am a Maserati's customer, have driven and tested all the models (including Trofeo's versions) in the past and just yesterday the Grecale Trofeo. Yes, the front reminds a Puma, but is bigger and more aggressive, we can avoid that, unfortunately, not the brakes issue, they are s....t, SORRY for being so rude!!!! Maserati, please, react, urgently, or you will lose your real DRIVERS for 'boulevard' ones, pity for the model and brand, and for me, no chance for buying this car, not with these brakes, when is such a good, exclusive and refined product.
This is pricier than a Macan GTS but the thing is it will depreciate faster than a falling rock, in 5 years a brand new Corolla will be more expensive than a 5 years old Grecale. Can't wait for the day these scam artists shut their doors for good, they've been playing the unreliability game for quite a while now.
If you compare it with the Stelvio QV, for which you say (as 100's of other CarRUclipsrs/journalists) that it is the best handling SUV (i asume also better then the Macan): How is the handling in the Grecale comapred with the Stelvio? Ok, we know that the plattform is the same and the engine and gearbox also, but the Grecale weigts 150 kg (!) more. Do you feel that in the handling and braking?
Very impressed with this car but I would never pull the trigger being an SUV and not that cool looking. I work at an alfa deealer and its very hard to sell them, but god, they do look pretty when they arrive

Rate the Grecale Trofeo /10 ⬇️⬇️⬇️
8 but the Stelvio is 9

Looks kinda like the chinese copycat cars, where they copy each side of the car from a different company. It has no charachter 4/10
7 since they copied stelvio and the stelvio looks bettet
for the price like 6.5/10. Stevio Quad is like 8.5/10

Volume button is on the back of the steering wheel love. This car is superb, the headlights match the gran turismo and mc20.
One of the best interiors I've ever seen. The exterior though unfortunately is a lot less inspired for a Maserati. Much prefer the levante look
it's actually inspired by the look of the 3200 gt which is 10 years old. the look is truly the original maserati

Perfect car😍😍
Beautiful fast feeling Car I love it
Macan is worse handling Stelvio, Stelvio is sharpest at it’s category SUVs
You've clearly never driven a Macan.
Driven both, own one as well so see you later kido
Handling wise the order is this: Macan>BMW X3>Stelvio>Q5>Jaguar/Volvo/Mercedes
