I own a Grecale: the design of the infotainment is horrific. So is the placement of the gear selectors and the stupid idea to have them as buttons. They are clunky and dont engage quickly. Also right above the touch screen for the climate control, which means the sensitive climate controls get inadvertently switched off/on. These design flaws wear you down over the time.
    - Do you enjoy the three chimes when you start the car? Or having to hit the “accept” button every time?
    - Do you like the loud sound of the turn signal?
    - The audio mute also doesn't hold. Many things like notifications in your connected phone make the music come back on.
    - Sadly there is a reason Porsche sells 4x more Macans than the entire annual production of Maserati.
    - Oh and I forgot: good luck giving your car to a valet. You have to give them instructions through the open window. The parking brakes only automatically disengage if you are wearing a seatbelt.

  • @crfrider57

I would love to have the Grecale Trofeo....BUT...... We do own a 2022 Stelvio Quadrifoglio which we absolutlely love. I don't feel the Grecale Trofeo is worth $38k more than our Stelvio QV. The MSRP on our QV was $90,470 and we paid $75,500, The Grecale Trofeo in an equal spec is $114k. We have had two Giulias (2021 Ti Sport Q4 is current daily) and a 2017 Maserati Granturismo and all have been more reliable than our Audis previously owned (so tired of non-owners bashing reliabiity)

I love that this car is a thing. Love that it’s very good. For 100k tho? Like STARTING at 100… no way man. Base should be 80s. Fully fully loaded low 100s would make way more sense. Can’t imagine spending 120k for a loaded on of these.

For $51k+ the lack of such simple features is unacceptable.

Can’t wait for these to lose 75% of their value in the first two years so we can all pick them up used for $30k in typical Maserati fashion. 😅

Content is great. The cars are what are killing your views. I find myself, along with 90% of the enthusiasts I know, becoming more and more disinterested in the new car market. The few highschoolers I've spoken to drive an older Lancer and an E36 Alpina wagon, and a handful of last gen japanese stuff being the newest. ThatDudeinBlue isn't getting great views and even Throttlehouse has stopped ascending and is stagnant at this point if you look at the metrics.

I think this is a pretty good alternative for people want something different to the (now) run of the mill Macans. Will it maintain value like one? Probably not. Will it be as reliable as one? Also probably not. You can't deny it's italian flair though in a sea of german products.

Would personally never trade my Crosstour for one. Japanese know reliability and sturdiness. The Honda V6 takes well to aftermarket blowers and then it’s basically game over for Europe.

As someone who owns a Macan GTS, I agree. I was actually considering this car, until they priced it abkut $15k more than a GTS. And while you’re right that Macans have become “common,” at least there are fewer GTS running around. They’re pretty sweet. Maserati messed up their pricing.
