If anyone streams their DJ sets then i suggest these settings in filters. They don't clip or distort at high volume & your sets will sound better. Compressor: Ratio 4:1, Threshold -5db, Attack - 102ms, Release 94ms, Output Gain 2db Limiter: Threshold -3db, 196ms
If the purpose is to protect against clipping use a Limiter not a Compressor for DJ sets. The tracks you play are Mastered already. If you use a compressor lie this you will end up just reducing the Dynamic Range of the music you are playing meaning it will be more fatiguing to the ears and have less musicality.

Hi Michael, your videos are AWESOME and your personality and clear explanations keep me coming back. I am trying to record video podcasts and have 2 mics in my studio. I followed what you suggested (maybe here or in another video) in terms of using Audio MIDI Setup on my Mac by creating an Aggregate Device with both USB mics, and though they're both connected, I'm only hearing audio being recorded from one of those mics. Any thoughts on why the audio isn't being recorded via both mics?
Hello Michael i have a question... Is there a way or a plug in to move the audio tracks in the order you want in the obs? I have 15 audio tracks and I would like to arrange them from most important to least important from top to bottom or vice versa
Currently I just add a number to the audio source when I want them in a specific order. (1-Desktop 2-Mic 3-Discord 4-Chrome, etc.) Been waiting for OBS to allow drag and drop to arrange audio sources, but I don't know if it will ever happen.
Hey Micheal first of all great video but i got a question what about channel points with sound effects how do i separate that ? bcuz my desktop audio plays it and i want to separate that

I stream my gaming, which I do using a PS5. I currently use desktop audio for the audio source for my PS5 audio because I haven't been able to figure out how to properly separate the audio and it be loud enough for me to hear while I'm playing without being too loud for my viewers. Hey Micheal. Is there a way that a recording done when streaming mixcloud through OBS doesn't play the mic audio (while streaming one might chat to the crowd etc) but only music audio? Your help would be greatly appreciated
Hey Micheal thank you for always being really informative with every steps but i have a question and if anyone can answer my question too. So is desktop audio irrelevant if you make sound sources for every application like game application, mic, discord, and music (spotify)? I'm trying to understand how to play music without it coming out of my desktop audio 🤔 appreciate the help!
@@MichaelFeyrerJr Awesome, Thank you! I've been busy so haven't got to test it out. But from looking at multiple videos of yours, it just seemed like it. Just needed clarification 🙌🏼 You the Man Micheal!
Amazing. I have a Q: Recently I join some Video-Chat pages like Omegle, Ome TV etc. and I want the one whom I am connected with to hear me, and then I decide to let him/her hear a sound effect or music, is it possible in any way to make that job done on OBS? Or this requires a whole different program? I will be very thankful for any comment.
I have never seen anyone address the following issue. I have OBS connected to a Virtual Audio Cable to Google Meet. I have scenes with music and sound that I switch to when teaching my students. They can hear the scenes that I switch to or the browser window that I open and capture in OBS. I want to hear (monitor) the scene sounds going to Google Meet, BUT I don't want to hear my voice from the mic being sent back to me in my headphones. It produces an echo that makes it impossible to talk. I wish OBS had an "Output not monitor" option in advanced settings for my mic audio.
Only thing with Win Capture that I cant get to work is with Xbox party chat audio. I've tried adding the Xbox app and Xbox game bar and still no audio comes through. Discord works perfectly, but if im playing with Xbox friends, I cant get it to capture the audio. Currently the only way i've been able to have an Xbox party in my stream is using the Desktop audio default. Anyone have any idea how to get an Xbox party chat to work with Win Capture in OBS?
