As always, thanks for making these videos. I would really love to see a video on how to set up OBS for multiple mics. What I mean by that is, if I am playing a video game and I am using Steam Chat and I have two other people in game with me I want to record myself and the two friends so when re watching the video or when I go to edit, I can hear all three mics instead of just hearing myself on play back. Do you know how to set up Steam Chat while using OBS studio? I have tried to look it up, RUclips it, Google it, so forth and so on but when I try to find what I am actually looking for, I don't get the results. For example, lets say You, me, and Shadow went in and played Once Human or any game, and we all had Steam Chat how can I get all persons to be recorded on separate tracks for editing? Sorry for repeating it, but I want to make sure I am asking and explaining my question to you correctly. But if you could make tutorial for something like that I would very much appreciate it. If you already have a video on it please just link it. I have been watching for quite some time now and have scrolled through your videos but not sure if you have one like this. Well anyway, thanks Cody, be well and keep up the good work.
Honestly not sure if you could do that just from your end. You might have to have them record their audio separately and send you the file. There might be a solution out there but I haven't come across it :/

I'd recommend double checking your audio tracks and settings again
@CpawsMusic aahhh, think right this second I've figured it out, using davinci editing, it doesn't show up as a multichannel, without me doing something else first
@@CJP3030wait yo can you please tell me the step by step process to fix this. I’m dying to know I did everything right and both my audio sources come out of one. But when I go to the device timeless I can see both audio tracks lined up but can’t into the editing section. Please help
Is there a video for console players?
sorry not for splitting audio
I used these setting to try to seperate the desktop audio and the voice audio.
I don't know what i did wrong but I got the same audio on each track
do you not have 2 separate audio tracks?
Sorry not sure about that
it does not work for Filmora 14 ...
:(
Great video!
much love!!
I need a little bit of help. Pretty much when I’m doing test recording gameplay vids with OBS the gameplay audio is so loud that I can barely hear my own voice being picked up by my microphone and it also almost sounds like the gameplay audio is playing over itself like it’s duplicated. So if anyone can help me fix that I’d appreciate it
Simply lower the gameplay volume in obs
@@CpawsMusic how? Do you show how to do it in the video?
Great Video! Question is there a way to record your game play audio and mic audio separately while streaming? Because at least to my knowledge (Which isn't much because I'm new to Streaming and OBS lol) you have to have audio track 1 selected for both to be able to stream
That's what we do in the video :D The stream track is everything on track 1 and then your recording tracks are 2 and 3 :D
@@CpawsMusic oh when I tried it it didn't work lmfao ill have to give it another go! I'm assuming I just made some issue along the way but theoretically if followed correctly it should record my audio and game play separately even while I'm streaming so when I'm done it'll be separate in premiere pro?
@@CpawsMusic Upon trying it again I was able to get it working! You are the only channel I have seen that actually went in depth and showed how to actually do it! I honestly can't thank you enough this has been the main reason I haven't been streaming as much but now that I have this fixed (Or at least hope its fixed) I can start pushing to grow my channel! Genuinely thanks so much!!!
we all are so greatful for you cody 😂😂
hahaha thank you so much Emily!!
my mic input is still coming through my desktop audio. I've followed all the steps and its still not changing for me
you might have your mic audio set to monitor and output, turn that off if you do :D
@@CpawsMusic i had that turned off but I had clicked the audio input capture instead of audio output capture under sources, I think that solved my problem
@@Ey3sColdLemOnade glad to hear it :D
I haven't started making content yet but you are setting me up with success. Thank you bro I'll never forget this 🙏🏿 💯
@@Ey3sColdLemOnade I gotchu fam! 😄
one of my recording r really laggy the one where there is just destop audio but my other one is good
might be your pc specs
I know this question doesn’t even make sense for this video but when I try to set up a subscriber pop up, I’m getting them, but it’s not doing it for ever subscribers I get I thought you’re more likely to reply on a newer video
Honestly not sure about that one!
Would this be the same with CapCut ? If I drag the mp4 video into CapCut would it automatically be both audio tracks that I can have CapCut sync my camera footage to automatically and boom have my mic audio, gameplay audio, gameplay, and my camera footage? If so W video please somebody get back to me I’m waiting on my set up in the mail so I can’t test things out right now
Honestly not sure if capcut accepts multiple audio tracks so that's why I use DaVinci 😄
Thank you!!!!!!
You're welcome!
There might be a solution out there but I haven't come across it :/
Thank you!

Anyone import the audio into davinci and then have the second audio track disappear?
Sorry not sure about that one!
I probably would've been that one person in the comments! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks!
