- 89 Chevy C20 5.7L No start. Flooding engine. If one injector is unplugged it can start and run. Plug in the other injector after it running and it kills the engine.
goosing the throttle slightly and noticed that the egr valve is moving behind the throttle body. Moved closer with the camera to see that the egr valve broke and vacuum section had separated from the mount. Because the valve moved away from the mount it opened a big vacuum leak into the intake. the Oxygen sensor sees that the engine is running lean and tries adding fuel which floods the engine.
This could have been my problem all along! I replaced the temp sensor, the map sensor and rebuilt the fuel pressure regulator
why not a egr delete kit ??
djverhulst / because without the egr the engine will not run well at cruising speed when the egr is supposed to be working, the mix will be lean and the computer will pull timing to compensate. If you remove your egr you have to reprogram the ecu and in the case of these tbi engines you’d have to have a chip installed that doesn’t have the egr programming.
You can block it off and leave it hooked up. The computer will think it’s still there and it will be fine. There is NO benefit running hot exhaust and carbon back into your engine. It contaminates the intake charge and increases wear.
If you live in a smog area, you can unblock it to pass the test, then block it back off again.
I really need help with my vacuum lines on my 89 GMCvan also perg canister please Help!!!!????
the throttle body has ports on it. J, C, A are in the front and F is in the back. Port A is the purge line for the canister. It should be the one on the drivers side of the front of the throttle body
@@WarrenAutomotive that's the problem I'm having with my 1988 Chevrolet Silverado the purge line has no vacuum but the other lines do
Booty
I think its the egr just saying
👍
Your truck is probably getting flooded
To much gas is coming in that’s why it runs with one injector you need to replace the thing inside the carb that opens and closes how much gas it needs
@@notmedrano3432I cannot find the fuel regulator cap. Where did you order one?
La "enfermedad" que tiene tu egr....esta como la iglesia de mi pueblo, ii NO TIENE CURA !! te aconsejo que le vayas perdiendo el AMOR A $40.00 CUERITOS DE RANA!!! JEJEJEJEEEE
