That "spiritual feeling" you mentioned is my motivation for my trips. I fee the same thing and that's a huge reason I watch your channel. Personally I attribute it all to a creator many call God, but regardless of who or what we define this epic natural beauty, most can agree that it takes your breath away and is awe-inspiring. Thank you for this vid. Tristan. I saved it so I can make parts of this trip a bucket trip.
Thanks, Tristan...yes, creation's song echos louder in some places than others - I totally get that. We need that in our lives these days. Partly why your gift to the world is so precious in these moments you share with us, "for such a time as this". Bless you and yours.
I agree with how one feels sometimes when your out in nature. I did a 6 state road trip last year in my Forester. I drove to Yosemite not knowing what to expect drove through the tunnel and down into the valley to be met by El Capitan, and without warning I burst into tears, that has never happened before, so yes I get it. Great video. Thanks
Favorite part was the 3 Kings petroglyphs - I too wondered "how did they get up there"? Utah has so many beautiful areas. I've had that "spiritual" feeling in many natural landscapes. I think it stems from a dis-connectedness from nature that all us "civilized" folks feel - a longing for raw beauty that can't be found in the cityscape.
I have that magical moment where I feel like I belong in that place all the time where I live. The sleeping bear dunes national Lakeshore touches my soul. I definitely know that feeling sometimes it overwhelms me and I cry. The three kings panel was really cool so well preserved. And the dinosaur tracks were really neat. Great video Tristan thanks for sharing.
Robert Allen What a shame because it really is the gem of Michigan. I’ve got pictures that would blow you away. It’s the fastest moving landmass in the United States. They are just breathtaking. And sitting on top of the 450 foot dune watching the sunset over Lake Michigan is like nothing else. I’m so lucky to live by them.
Totally understand “it feels good to my soul”. There have been a few places in my camping adventures where I just stand in nature’s glory and laugh out loud. Total happiness and a feeling of being blessed to experience such a place. Thank you for sharing your travels......they are always a joy to watch.
Get that feeling whenever I am out in nature on a forest path. It's very nourishing to the soul and spirit. John Muir used to hike in Yosemite for days on end with a simple bed roll, tea and biscuits for sustenance. It's all he needed, nature provided the rest.
I am glad you mentioned “that spiritual feeling”, there are remote parts of Idaho where I am blessed with that feeling. They are my moments of Zen where I achieve oneness with nature.
That's quite an education you provided! I continue to learn new things through your videos and loving it!! Yellowstone National Park touched my soul this past October! I felt a peace I've not known before and it was liberating!! I want to experience that again!! I'm envious of your adventures!! Thank you for sharing, Tristan!!
I think a lot of us had that feeling where you just get to a place you feel centered you feel part of your surroundings and you are at peace I always feel more in touch with myself when I'm outside nature and Hiking is just way it supposed to be
That magical place for me as a kid was coming down the mountains from southern Oregon into northern California, driving I5 on our way to visit relatives in Reno. That first sighting of Mt. Shasta and the surrounding area.... The deep green of the fir trees against the bright blue backdrop of the sky..... And the whole time Shasta is there, your constant traveling companion. It was/is a magical place and for me a constant reminder of the wonder of my youth.
I have that 'feeling' when hiking the 403 trail in Henderson, NV. Something just feels 'right' about being there. Thank you for conveying that feeling here. Also, as usual, thank you for having me along. :)
I very much know the feeling; there are certain places I go to when my soul needs to heal or sing. I call those places my Soul Acreage. Toadstool Geologic Park in Nebraska is a true favorite. So small that it takes longer to arrive than to see the sights, I still find myself there every year. I would so like to be there right now
I know exactly how you feel when you are out in nature and you find that one spot. I can't wait till I get out there and find my next one. Awesome spot enjoy.
Not sure if you're familiar with the German term "waldeinsamkeit". Literally it means alone in the forest, but is used to describe that spiritual connection.
The sampler platter. Yikes 😲 That feeling you described is the same feeling I have about the playa and surrounding areas South of Delta. I look forward to exploring the Vernal landscape this new year.
Great video Tristan. I have gotten that good soul feeling several times. It is such a great feeling. The last time I really felt it was when I was headed to Theodore Roosevelt NP and I started in to the badlands. It was so beautiful and soul fulfilling. In the next few years I am going to try to make it out to Utah and visit some of the places you have shown in your videos. Next year I am thinking about doing Northern New Mexico and visit some of places you have shown there as well. I'm sure I will get the chance to fell that soul fulfilling moment many times in ether trip. Thanks for all the great videos and keep up the good work.
I've never been to Theodore Roosevelt NP, but it's definitely on my list. You'll love Utah. I think it's the most beautiful state overall. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@SUVRVing It is great. Not as impressive as a lot of Utah, but it is still great. It is great even just to drive thru if nothing else. The east side of the Rockies in Colorado is as far West that I have been. I am slowly making my way farther west, using your great videos as a guide. Again thanks for all the great videos.
Dinosaur tracks, an arch, petroglyphs (3 Kings looked like it had Spanish influence?) and a spiritual signifigant feeling...what more could you ask for. Terrific, Tristan! Just found out today about establishment of Jurassic NM last year; have you been there. One of your very best efforts - Bob R.
I love petroglyphs. I was surprised to see one figure (three kings?) that the background around it had been carved away, leaving the figure raised. As a stone carver myself, I know that took a lot of work.
Having just recently discovered your videos, am enjoying each and every one I've watched. Appreciate you helping us live vicariously through your eyes. Keep up the great work!!
That valley you drove up in the end was indeed beautiful! It reminded me a bit of a place I visited here in Norway a little over a year ago. It's interesting how the areas you visit many times look alien to me as a Norwegian, but sometimes look like they could've been here!
I just got to this video from your map on Adventure Know-How which I just joined. I think you just gave away a fishing spot! LOL! And more importantly, I think I found my next spot after leaving Aspen on my way up to Alaska.
I so appreciate the drone footage starting at 6:12. Previously I had always hated them. It seemed they were often used to go kill people in other countries, or in my own experience to follow me and spy on me on my own property! What you have done here is show me an entirely different and beautiful usage. If only they were all used this way. Thank you:)
As always another great video! The drone shots add so much to the video, and they are just the right length of time. Thank you for sharing your journeys with us.
coatimundi skull pretty sure that was the critter. Nothing else around just the skull? Great places & really interesting subjects. Maybe not mountain tops but, really happy to tag-along. Those petroglyphs are wonderful. How many medicine wheels have you been too? Have you found any 'undocumented ones? Or are they only in AZ. Thanks for sharing
As far as I know, there aren't any coatis in Utah. I've been to one medicine wheel, but there are several others I have on my list to visit. Thanks Ron!
It's not in Flaming Gorge, but it's not far from it. Basically it's up the mountain from there. The exact coordinates are in the video description of the previous video.
@@SUVRVing thanks... I watched in the wrong order :). I've been down that spur road. Great videos btw. Here are some other wonderful places to visit in the area:. Harper's corner hike, John Jarvie Historic Ranch

SUV RVing it’s part of Sloan Canyon but you’d be even more interested in the 100 Trail for the 400 panels (1700 etchings) of Petroglyphs.
Yes! Some places feel more special and beautiful. Some places feel creepy. So cool that you mentioned this.
Glad I'm not the only one to feel this way! Thanks for watching 😁
Another wonderful video, Tristan! I too have felt the awe deep inside, which you describe. Doesn't happen in plastic theme parks!😟
