      Most big name PC companies outside of private businesses will scam you.
      I have dealt with 3 privately owned PC repair businesses to fix issues not related to this and they all mentioned it was just one small little thing which they fixed in 5 minutes and only charged £10 at most.

    Worked. I switched my graphics card for a one I got for Christmas and it didn't show on my monitor on the onboard graphics, as expected, and showed on my TV plugged into the graphics. It wouldn't even show half the time, but did this and it showed on onboard, switched something to auto, and then they both booted up. Thanks, my uncle sent me the PC and said "didn't have time to replace the motherboard battery so here's a new one!" Thanks best uncle!

    retired tech what you did will work but actually the boot menu is loading and you can't see it because its sending it to the on board graphics port not your better graphic card . Just turn off the computer attach the monitor to the on board graphics port turn back on the computer and problem solved . This through me for a loop as well until I figured it out. Couldn't test my recovery media untill I did this.

    On a new motherboard, use the onboard video(if you have a cpu with integrated graphics) rather than a video card to see the bios screen. Once into the bios find the setting that chooses the video card as the primary display. Next reboot the boot screen should default to the video card. Not all bios' auto detect a display on a video card.

    I have an HP 8200. My computer stopped displaying, stopped booting, stopped showing bios because my cmos battery actually fell out of the computer. Was moving stuff to new place.. I placed in a new cmos battery and still no display/boot. However, after inspecting the motherboard I've noted the HP 8200 has a cmos button reset. I connected the computer to monitor and power, left the PC Box open, and while the PC was running I pressed the cmos reset button. Voila, computer booted up.
    I suggest if you still can't get computer to boot up after replacing CMOS battery, that you look at the motherboard and determine if there's a CMOS reset button on motherboard. Especially if you have an HP related PC.........supposedly you should have computer off and press button for 5 seconds, officially. So, I can only tell you what worked for me.

    No power no F2 spam
    I have all the current drivers. Tried all the ports
    All ports work. They are just too slow to power on

  • @robertweekes5783
    @robertweekes5783 2 года назад

    The option that skips the BIOS is Windows fast boot, not sure if that’s on Windows 11. But it makes a kernel of the last booted Windows to make booting up faster. You can disable this in Windows settings
    If you do this trick and still don’t see anything, it could be your GPU not communicating with your motherboard UEFI interface. Nvidia has a patch for that but check other things first because firmware updates can be risky I heard
    If your PC isn’t booting into Windows, another option is to turn power off, bridge the CLR CMOS (2 pin header on mobo) with a screwdriver for 10 seconds, then when you power up, wait 30 seconds and hit F1 to enter BIOS, then wait 10 seconds, then hit F5 to restore defaults and F10 to save & exit

      Its different for all motherboards but try looking under advanced settings for CSM. That turns on legacy support.

      So you would plug everything in, it wouldn't boot. Then you took out the cmos battery put it in, rebooted it and everything showed on the display?

    Did not work for my scenario. Fast boot is turned of. Keyboard is PS2. MSI B550 Tomahawk mobo, Ryzen 5 4600G. After upgrading the ram form 8GB HyperX 2666 to 128GB Cordsair Vengence 2666 I am no longer able to get the bios screen to show up. Tried reseting cmos, booitng with only 2 sticks ram instead or 4, reinstalling old ram, nothing so far has worked to get back into bios.
