    I replaced my GTX 1050 with a RTX 3050 for a few days. After switching back I noticed the lack of the BIOS splash screen. This became an issue for when I wanted to try out some live USB Sticks.
    I tried disabling Fast Startup in Windows, clearing the CMOS, but nothing helped. Doing the DP firmware update solved my issue. Thank you very much!

    BIOS PROBLEM - MINISFORUM U700
    Hi, I own a Mini PC brand Minisforum model U700, the Driver Booster 9 program indicated a Bios Update, and when installing it, it gave me an error and then the MiniPC turns on but does not start, it always remains on a black screen. MinisForum gave me the Bios file which has a .bin extension but they don't tell me how to reinstall it, nor does it have a Jumper (at least I couldn't identify it). It has a reset button but didn’t do anything for the problem, I already tried removing the battery and nothing.
    I wanted to know if you or someone in your community could help me, I can't get U700 to boot from the pendrive, I have already tried to format it in FAT32 and with other programs to make it bootable but there is no way for the minipc to boot from the pendrive.

    It says no signal when i turn on my monitor but this was fixed last time when somebody turned on my PC and at the start and went immediately to bios settings, the first thing to appear was hold f1 on the monitor and it worked.
    How do i make that appear?

    • @sparketech
      @sparketech  Год назад +1

      Make the bios appear? If you mean the bios my first question is what motherboard and model and CPU? For example if you have MSI and Ryzen 7000 you need to reset the CMOS and it going to be slow to boot but after the second boot the bios screen should show. With that situation you need to choose "memory context restore" and change what every settings you were using it'll boot slow one more time and be normal after... But it can be a different situation depending on your computer setup.

  • @iancarlofernandez1206
    @iancarlofernandez1206 3 года назад +5

    Oh my god, I finally fixed it thanks to this! I was having two issues, the first one being on my second monitor which is on vertical, that's where my pc shows the bios it's so annoying because I have to tilt the monitor on landscape if I have to do anything, I wanted it to boot on my primary display which is on DP, the second monitor is on HDMI though. Secondly I don't know what happened but suddenly it stopped showing the bios on both screens and are completely black and will only receive signal when I'm on login screen, the system works just as fine. With this displayport update firmware fixed both issues, not only does it start up on my main monitor the bios shows as well. Two birds one stone, thanks a lot.

    1. I have updated the BIOS version to the newest on my MSI Tomahawk B450 (regular version), which went just fine. Everything was working fine, but I didn't like the UI, so I wanted to downgrade to the previous one.
    2. I have installed one of the previous BIOS versions, but not the one I had originally, because it was way too old.
    3 After it fully installed older BIOS version to 100% it re-loaded my PC and I started to get black screen. All fans are spinning, etc, but my Num lock red light on the keyboard doesn't show up and the keyboard is totally non-responsive. All I see is black screen. I tried to wait for at least 5-10 minutes. Removing battery from motherboard, pressing reset button help didn't help :(
    What could went wrong? And what are my other options?

    • @sparketech
      @sparketech  Год назад +1

      Do you have a bios flashback button? Because a flash gone bad or incompatible memory with the older version or CPU incompatible if too old of a version can be Problem. I have not clue what bios version you flashed or what support you lost or if it was a bad flash of the bios.

    • @zimenc100
      @zimenc100 Год назад

      @@sparketech Yes, pressed BIOS flashback button, but that didn't change a thing. The flashing (through M-Flash procedure) went to 100% and finished with reboot successfully. However after that I started to get black screen. Yesterday I updated my BIOS version to the newest available, because I was going to replace my GPU and RAM (internet stated that it's a preferable thing to do). So I got 3600 MHz RAM (was 2400 before) and RTX 3090 video card (was 1070 GTX before).
      Everything was working fine with newest BIOS version, but the UI was ugly af, so I wanted to downgrade. Well, the rest you know already :)
      Initially I thought the problem was caused by the GPU. I read somewhere on the internet that older versions of Bios failed to recognise NVIDIA 3000 series and later versions of GPUs and someone has fixed it by swapping the display port cable with HDMI. I tried that too, but that didn't help.
      The next thing I thought about is RAM. Max RAM speed is listed as 3466MHz for Tomahawk B450, but that shouldn't have caused such incompatibility issues...
      Anyways I gave the PC to the local tech store. If you want I can let you know later how that turns out and what have caused the failure after all.

    • @zimenc100

The motherboards default to CSM and any gaming cards I own won't display output until It's set to UEFI. I keep a crap OEM card handy for this purpose. For my setup I use a DP->VGA cable which may be part of the issue.

      Multi monitors have been a known issue for years for bios display. I have more solutions in video #3. To even hope to be of any more help I would have to know your motherboard which chipset, GPU and monitor models. The AMD B650 has it's own issue. Half of the 900, 1000 and even some of the 700 series and 3000 series of GPUs from Nvidia have issues including the AMD RX400 and 500 and the Fury cards and certain movies monitors under certain refresh rates. So many reasons.

      Your problem might be your monitor. The Samsung 240hz with display compression is a problem, refresh rate has to be dropped to like 144 or 120hz. Otherwise it is possible to have bad or simply not proper display port cables which can happen even with HDMI. In my newest video if not this one I suggest using a different connection and have more solutions.

    Hi I have Dell XPS 15 L502X {2nd-Gen i7 processor & windows 10} (purchased in 2012). Few days ago, a blue screen error suddenly appeared during using the laptop (not remember the error code). After that, repeat blue screen errors occurred just after the windows completely load up but Windows was loading in safe mode.
    Next day when I tried to boot the laptop again, it's fan, leds lights & keyboard backlight etc are working but display is not turning on at all (Not even Dell boot logo is showing). Battery & charger is ok.
    I have done all basic troubleshooting steps like press power button for 1min without battery & charger. Also connected the laptop with external monitor but no help.
    Laptop Display is working, i have done Dell Display test by pressing "D-key + power button" and multiple colors are showing but after reboot same black screen issue is happening.
    During repeatedly trying to boot the laptop, 2 times Dell boot logo was randomly appeared out of 50 trys. And an error code was showed on boot " 00c08270: Real time clock error - check date and time setting" along with continuous beep sound.
    I pressed F2 to boot in bios and changed date & time settings and then I pressed F1 to boot in windows. Windows was trying to load but a blue screen error occurred " Stop code: DRVER POWER STATE FAIURE" .
    I thought that it is CMOS batter issue so next day I changed the CMOS battery and installed a new one. I also removed the RAM, Keyboard, HardDisk and cleaned their connectors with soft brush & cloth.
    But issue is still occuring, Dell boot logo is not appearing again & display is totally black but fan, led lights, keyboard backlight etc is ON .
    Is this problem related to BIOS? (but I hadn't installed any bios).
    So, What can be the issues & how to resolve it ?

But hopefully your RX580 is fine and shows the bios or you just don't need to use it after changing the setting you need. Your RX580 most likely won't display the bios. Just look at all the comments with RX580 issues, to fix the RX580 you need to download the exact firmware for the exact Brand, Model of the GPU. I can not assist unless you tell me something. There are piles of reasons for a blank screen in the bios which this video and the other video in my description are both about.
      The bios not showing is often the fault of multiple configuration items... The AMD RX580 GPU, MSI motherboards with UEFI bios, the monitor display version. What I mainly need to know is what is your GPU, CPU and your motherboard... Those are the main 3 problem pieces of hardware, other things are VR headsets often take over the display or people connecting to the wrong ports. When you have a CPU with built in graphics it sometimes takes over the bios display from the graphics card.

      @@houceinebelhadi6409 it could be the bios type setting. Like MSI it is UEFI vs legacy or CSM or whatever. The 280 is likely not to show the bios under UEFI and the 3070Ti should be UEFI. Don't forget to check for any firmware for the 3070Ti for the "exact" model from the manufacturer. The motherboard logo is part of the bios. The common problem people tend to have is the display is going through their VR headset if your CPU had built in graphics which the 5800x does not have.

    "Bios Not Showing; black screen" - will with a PC with a NVidia new graphics-card, be due to using fx. the DVI-output.
    SOLUTION: Change to fx. the HDMI-output - and BUUM! it works.

      It is called trouble shooting... And there is no polite way to tell people using a DVI adapter to get a new monitor. The last video #3 has a lot of useful stuff I have an unofficial #4 video cause MSI and their Garbage motherboard AMD B650 bios issues. I never made anything regarding the problematic Samsung 240K 4K displays. There are so many reasons. I made a video with every single solution but people got confused and flustered not knowing where to start so I deleted it there are just too many reasons the bios won't show. One of the solutions is change to legacy bios which I removed cause Windows 11 screwed that up. Now the RTX2000 cards are for the most part screwed when using Windows 11.
      Always read my video descriptions and get the fix for your Nvidia card if you didn't already do it. I am here to fix issues... After you can enjoy using your display port once again... You're welcome.
      For DVI and other adapters, I could just say. Get a new monitor. It's too old, there is no good or polite way I know to say it lol.

Better channels for the answers are those that have actually done a Hachintosh build. At work for the next several hours, would be a bit before I could look.
