何気に好きなフィールド曲。いまでは1番聞く
鉄ちゃんだからワールドマップをミニチュアみたいに動く列車に感動。特にエスタまで長い橋で伸びてる鉄道網には驚いた。作中の事情で休線だったけどエスタまで列車で行ってみたかったな
この曲すごく好き。
電車の線路上とか、車道を走ればエンカウントを避けられるというから必死に沿って走ってたわ。
VIII had my favorite overworld map
For me it's IV, but this one is a masterpiece as well
I spent 200 hours on this game, and didn't even remember you could drive a car in it. Well, it has been 20 years. But I listen to this soundtrack pretty often. Used to have the original CDs from Tokyopop back in the day.

8はフィールドの曲がこの曲だけなので、なんか原点回帰的な感じの雰囲気がありますね。
This music brings back so many memories. Please Square Enix bring back the original Final Fantasy formula, JRPGs are the best.
They can do whatever formula they want and forge memories just the same. Stop living in the past. This doesn't go away because new things exist.
I'd play the f out of a really faithful remake with static cameras and the junction system as it is. Triple Triad is still the best card game of the series
that makes several millions of us!

The more I study and take in "Real" (commercial) music the more I also listen to video game soundtracks and realize they are just as beautifully crafted as the "real" ones. Video games OSTs are real music, anyone that denies that is crazy
This is one of the best imo. Well it's just really hard to beat FF6-9's overworld themes, they're just too good

when I was younger I remember not liking this song so much but it grew on me and now I love it, just had to give it time I guess

@@VioletMaeve That’s because the remakes are actually rewriting and fixing writing issues from the original, as any good remake should. Which is what a VIII remake should follow with, though I prefer IX to be remade before VIII, because IX had way more issues in the original than VIII did.
Second best overworld theme in the series, after FFIX.
IX’s overworld theme is kind of weak, considering it is supposed to be a remix of Melodies of Life, the love song of IX, but the love story itself was so disappointing that the theme rings hollow.
Say what you will about FFVIII, but this overworld theme is one of the best. I'd honestly say I like it better than VII's
VII’s was less repetitive and more memorable.
@@Zelink108 It had a longer loop, sure, but the composition in Blue Fields is phenomenal. Quality > quantity

@@AnaverdGaidenthere's a reason why 8 and 9 are considered to have the most beautiful osts in the series by a lot of people. Because they are. Just a fact.

Where is FF8 remake?
Sadly I think we're gonna have to settle for FFVIII Remastered. Honestly, VIII deserved a remake more than VII.

Having the first 3d FF be remade was a wake up for Square Enix. The head dev team said they would love to remake 6, 8 and 9 eventually. And from leaks prior we maybe getting 9 next, but I wouldnt hold my breath until FF7 remake part 3 gets closer to release
@@VioletMaeve The problem is, they didn't even give VII a remake. Rather than trying to improve upon the game, they basically made a bizarre pseudo-sequel that follows nothing from the original.
Also yeah, I've been excited by the FFIX Remake rumors. I just hope they do a good job with it. For some reason Square does an amazing job with remakes and remasters for their other series, but when it comes to FF they've consistently done a terrible job in recent years.
