It was not my first RPG but it was one of the most beautiful at the time. I played well over 100 hours on FFVIII and this was one of the most memorable songs even for me. You really did a beautiful job and I'd argue the point that this one was better than the original.
Yeah, VIII was my first game in the series as well! And I have a hard time picking a favorite, but I often consider this my favorite. Such a special place in my heart. Thanks!
FF8 was the first FF i played in 2005 and Blue Fields holds deep nostalgia for me. Not one of the most beloved track for many, kind of under the radar when compared with FF6/FF9 world map theme, but for me it holds a special place and is one of the best tracks of the legend Nobuo Uematsu. thx for sharing your great interpretation of this track!
Also my first FF, and though this track isn’t one of the greatest compositions Uematsu wrote, musically, it has SO much nostalgia for me. The first world map I experienced. Man, I gotta play this again sometime! Anyway, thanks for listening!
Thank you! It’s actually the same tempo as the original, but it’s fairly relaxing, so I can see why you might remember it slower. Perhaps I should do a slower, more relaxed version sometime 🤔
@ It’s just harmonically strange. It’s not typical in its use of tonality. It seems to use a lot of fourths, though I haven’t analyzed it. But it’s interesting, for sure. ✌️
This is beautifully done. Blue Fields is my favourite worldmap theme in the whole franchise

Thank you so much! I loved this game. Has a very special place in my heart. I'm glad you liked it.
My first game of the series FF. And my favorite. The melodies are just beautiful and always memorable.

Mine too. 7 and 9 were also great. But this one has a really special place in my heart.

It was the first one I played too! So good.

Very nice! Blue Fields is one of my favorites of FFVIII's soundtrack. I especially love the flute at 1:03! ^^
It is a great track. So much nostalgia stepping out onto the map to explore for the first time.
This is beautiful, FF8 is my all time fav Final Fantasy!
Same here! 8 was the first one I played and has a very special place in my heart. Thanks for listening!
Beautifully done! The second I heard this I was rejoiced with hope again.
Thank you so much! I reeeeally wish they would remake this game.
Another excellent composition. Great music. You are so talented!
Thank you! Takes one to know one! ;)
Beautiful! Felt a little fast compared with my memory, but .8 speed feels perfect

Kind of a funny piece by Mr. Uematsu, but you’ve breathed some life into it! Beautifully done. Some great chords and instrumentation here!!! 🥰
Thanks, buddy. :)
Why do you find it strange?

This reminds me strongly of the music in Radiant Historia
Oh yeah? I've never played that, but apparently I should listen to the music!
@@nerdsounds You definitely should! It's delightful!
this is a instant sub!
Thank you! Glad you like it!\
Glad i could hear that, can you do rose and wine next ?
Ooooh, I hadn't even thought of doing that one yet. Thanks for the idea. I'll add it to the list and start on it right away!
@@nerdsounds Fabulous ! Breezy and the fisherman song would do fantastic too !
The game was ok. Wish they did a better job on the hd remaster. if u can really call it an hd remaster
Yeah, I can safely say I've never played a remaster from Square Enix where I felt like they really put a lot of time and care into it...
@@nerdsoundsyeah it’s cuz they know we will play it either way 😔
