this was my first final fantasy game. 25 years ago when my mom bought the playstation, the store also allowed me to take 50 cd's of any game for free. it was the best gift ever as a young child. my mind was about to blow from too much excitement on what games to pick. in the end i just took all the games that looks 3D. but FF8 was the game that really looks graphically advance compared to others. i also took FF7 but i didn't play it after 2 years. i was busy finishing FF8, FF9 and legend of dragoon. then chrono cross was released and playing FF7 got delayed again. what i really want to say is, i don't get why FF7 is said to be the best Final Fantasy. because when i finally played it as a child, i can't feel any connection to it. and i find it boring. for me FF9 is the best Final Fantasy for gen 1 playstation. it is filled with so much things to do and you can really say that you are in an adventure/journey.
This was my first FF game as well. I love Legend of Dragoon too! Anyway, thank you for listening and sharing your story. I feel like I relived some of my childhood from reading about yours. :)
My grandma once said to me that nostalgia is a horrible feeling. At that time, being young, I didn't undersand, what's horrible about happy memories ? But now I undersand what she meant.
I remember being so excited for this game to come out. Reading magazines and finally being able to go to the store and buy it. That intro movie was so good and so beautiful! Loved the game but FF9 s my favourite.
I love all FF mainline games. But 8 has always been my favourite. It has such a whimsical innocence, and the most wholesome cast of characters, coupled with Nobuo sans magical arrangement, VIII is not just a Fantasy, but one you can see yourself in, and feel. I believe you have captured this beatifully. Each element in your version enhances the original and just brings it into the modern day. Amazing job I truly thankyou
Thank you so much! FF8 was my first FF game and I think of Balamb Garden as my home. I am so attached to it, and the music. Thank you so much for listening.
This soundtrack really brings me back. It was 21 years ago, I'm in my room just finished my homeworks, it's sunny, the breeze noise from my acacia tree right behind my house, the echo from my wind chimes. Ohh my how time flies
Haha, the smallest things that connect strangers!! Exactly the same for me; last year of high school, my family home was being renovated so we were staying in a rented cottage. "My" room had a big skylight with a large tree dappling the sunlight through the window with the swaying breeze, and I'd just gotten this 4 cd ost. The best of times....
This is the Final Fantasy i wish i could experience for the first time again the most. And together with IX the ones i enjoy revisiting most. Up to and including seven all the towns visited were very artificial. Single or two screen cities, every house had a purpose. Inn, Store, plotprogression. VIII was the first game where you could visit places. I loved hanging out in the cafeteria, just playing a game of cards, used every oportunity i could get to sleep in Balamb, with the sound of waves, visit the bar in Dollet, take a bus tour in deling city ... I know the systems were a bit messy and the story kind of all over the place. But if anything this game gave me a feeling of belonging. If there any was a gameworld i felt at home in, it's this one.
100% agree! This game was the first I played through and has a very special place in my heart. And as such, Balamb Garden is like my second home. I think, if I die and heaven turns out to be whatever your happy place is, I'll just live here. lol
Very relaxing arrangement. Thank you for another great video. Excellent use of the in game footage. But why does the dark haired dancing guy never smile??
Haha thank you sooooo much! That means a lot. This song means a TON to me and I did this arrangement and one of the hardest points in my life, which brought me a lot of peace. I'm glad you like it so much. Thank you for listening and commenting. Twice! lol
Final Fantasi VIII was my first FF, and after playing 9, X-X2, and others, I have to say, it's the best one... Loved it to eternity, but i'm sad It couldn't be finished, since the American version had a bug on the last boss that made it loop and the animation got stucked. I will get the remastered version and see it to its completion soon enough
It was my first FF too! But I didn't have a glitch on my version. I did have that problem with Chrono Cross though. Eventually beat that. Anyway, FF8 was my first love and is still my favorite, I'd have to say. Has a special place in my heart.

Same. This will always hold a special place in my heart.
FF7 was fun but didn't hook me as 8 and especially 9 did. The remake of 7 is very cool though and is really really good.
My grandma once said to me that nostalgia is a horrible feeling. At that time, being young, I didn't undersand, what's horrible about happy memories ? But now I undersand what she meant.
I get that. It's wonderful, like a drug, but there's also this sinking feeling that you can't go back to that time you loved.
I had the same feeling, I honestly thought it hurts how much happy this theme makes me. Cause I know it will never come back.

Ff9 is fkng shite. People only oretend to like that heaping pile of dung to be popular with internet hipdters. It is TRASH TIER. Admit it now.

Right? Seems like it was just a few years ago, and then you realize it was decades. Crazy. But great times.

this game is out of this world, will twist your mind completely
Isn't it great?
This song was the perfect pick for Balamb, safe and surene, if only for a little while. Love this handling of it.
Thank you so much! I could listen to the original track forever.
Ugh! Sooo much better than the original. LOVE what you’ve done with it! Fantastic orchestrations, as usual. 👌
This is perfectly relaxing. It even helped me to sleep. Thanks.
I love that. Thank you!
Hermoso arreglo
¡Gracias, Drakariann! Estoy lanzando otra canción de FFVIII mañana. ¡Espero que te guste!
Beautiful! Thank you Nerdsounds!!! 🙏🥰🙏
Very relaxing arrangement. Thank you for another great video. Excellent use of the in game footage. But why does the dark haired dancing guy never smile??
Wow I may like this more than the original version, well done !🙂
Okay I have to just come back and state, I in fact DO like this version more than the original extremely well done!!!!!!!! 💯❤️❤️❤️

I really want Final Fantasy 8 remake 😢
I've been wanting a FF8 movie since it came out, and a remake since PS2 came out lol I get it.
Moja PIERWSZA gra z cyklu Final Fantasy ❤❤❤❤❤👍🍻😎😎😎👏👏👏👏👏👏
To była również moja pierwsza gra z tej serii! Uwielbiam ją. Dzięki za słuchanie!
