Understanding vitamin D test - • Dr.Berg's Tip For Gett...
Vitamin d deficiency - affects over 1BILLION people world wide thats why your here
    lets get into it
In this video I’ll explain my story and some questions people may have when trying to recover from this dreaded deficiency.'
    vitamin d deficiency story
    #thyroid #vitamind
Explain the journey of the deficiency
I was always tired no matter how much sleep I got
I got anxiety that was sooo bad If I walked in room full of people I had to walk back out - I just start shaking
Brain fog - I felt like I was losing brain cells by the day - I could hardly think clearly or form words correctly - then Id loose my train of thought very easily
    Constipated badly
    Hair falling out
Getting sick easily I even got a UTI
    Very dry eyes
    I just wanted to die
    I couldn’t Sleep
Very bad heart palpitations ( to the point it just felt someone was pounding on my back )
When I went to the hospital they said my heart is fine ,
Bone pain to the point I couldn’t even sit down without the use of a pillow
Common questions people still are confused on
How do to know if your vitamin d is low ?
If you have anything I described above you might be low in vitamin d , practically everyone is low if your not supplementing . Our bodies don’t absorb it from the sun like it suppose to.
You can go the the doctor and get the these test done its called 25 hydroxy vitamin d and 1, 25 dihydroxy vitamin d .
I HAVE LINKED A VIDEO BELOW THAT WILL EXPLAIN HOW TO UNDERSTAND YOUR VITAMIN D RESULTS
When and how to take your supplements ?
You take them at your first meal of the day , ensure to include fat in the meal because these are fat soluble vitamins which means they are absorbed better when eaten with a fatty meal
What supplements should you be taking , how much and why ?
You should be taking a high quality natural muti vitamin - why ? Because vitamin d cam deplete other vitamins in the body so you need to cover those bases so you don’t end up deficient in something else .
A good way to know if you multi vitamin is natural - just look for b12 on the back label - if its in the form of methyl cobalamin its a natural supplement but if it says cyano cobalamin its not a natural supplement so don’t buy it .
You should be taking 5k- 10k vitamin d3 a day - make sure the vitamin d you choose has either coconut oil or olive oil - don’t buy anything with any other oils
Along with 120mcg of vitamin k2 - this is very important
    And
Also 1 teaspoon of cod liver oil is good to take for boi available vitamin a -that if you don’t already eat stuff like liver already which is super high in vitamin A.
You also should take 400mg of magnesium for men and 350mg for women
The receptors for absorbing vitamin d are completely dependent on magnesium.
If you have no magnesium you will not be able to absorb vitamin d
In all honesty we all are deficient in magnesium and vitamin d unless your supplementing or eat tons of green leafy veg daily to get the require magnesium.
While we’re on the topic of magnesium - this is the magnesium that I use now - its in the form of an electrolyte powder - you just add it to water and drink and they come in 3 delicious different flavors
Watermelon , raspberry lemonade, orange and unflavored
If your interested click my link below to get 15% off on your first order.
I feel worst after taking vitamin d !
Everyone does , at first , then you begin to feel better .
When I began to supplement , my fingers started hurting and I got scared honestly - because they weren’t hurting before , then I found out it get worst before it get better - you have to stick to it and take the supplements everyday. You will get better - trust me -
Just don’t take the green vitamin d pill from the doctor - thats vitamin d2 - you need d3 .
If you have an auto immune disease will vitamin d help me
Yes - it is an immuno regulator - which means its calms down the overactive immune system involve in auto immune disease. But you’ll have to take somewhere between 20k+ IUS of vitamin d a day - for each 10k IUS you must take 100mcg of vitamin k2 in conjunction .
For example if your taking 20k IUS of vitamain D you should take 200mcg of vitamin k2
I know someone might ask what if im taking 5k or less of vitamin d - how much k2 should I take since I’ve not reach 10k IUS to be qualified to take 100mcg of vitamin k2 ,
The answer is you still take 100- 120 mcg of vitamin k2 because thats the daily value you should take daily regardless.

I started out with 1000 IU as per my doctor then I started taking 2000 IU after. I started feeling great after a while and I felt amazing. Then all of a sudden last week there was pain in my fingers and under my feet. I went to the pharmacy and got 5000 IU d3 with k2. I pray that these symptoms subside

yes - good job on getting a higher dose - continue take that dose- add magnesium gylcinate (350mg )- taking vitamin d introduces new pains -just continue to supplement it will pass-what happens is when we increase vitamin d the magnesium in the body can drop so supplementing with magnesium is important as it could help with the new pains -for future, you can become deficient if you stop supplementing - once you feel better, you wont have to be sooooo stricked with supplementing but youll still have to supplement maybe 3-4 times a week

At firsts, I was feeling very good when I took the vitamin d but it started to effect me negatively. Do you know why this could be? • @callmedeno

@PropplaysProductions Well 3 to 4000 iu for just 2 weeks got me up to high normal, something like 50 ng/ml (125 nmol) when I was very low before that. So your 5000 could have easily brought your vitamin D up to pretty high levels, you should test to make sure, I bet your D is quite high if you've been doing 5000iu for some time. It would explain why you were feeling better early on, maybe it's too much now and possibly it could be pushing your calcium up even with the k2 (that happened to me).
Also try smaller doses of the glicinate, say half a tablet to see if there is a difference. Often if I took full tablets of 150 - 170 mg magnesium I would also feel a bit edgy.

    • @Bhappy925
      @Bhappy925 3 месяца назад

According to my dr, some ppl don't tolerate vitamin D supplements well. I'm was given a 50,000 iu vitamin D pill to be taken every 7 days. Omg. I was anxious, sweating, and weak. I was in tears. I had to have the Dr take me off of it. Now I started taking 6,000 every day. I still feel weird, but not as bad. I thought I was the only person in the world that had problems taking these high dose supplements.

Hello again 😊 I’ve been consistent talking the vitamin d , magnesium and k2 but I was wondering at any point should you stop taking the magnesium if your magnesium levels are good? Or should you continue to take it as long as you are taking the vitamin d?

yes one levels return back to normal you can relax a bit a on the supplementation - thats what I have been doing - so like supplement 4 days out of 7 days per week is fine -but you must never stop - that goes for the vitamin d as well

The first thing to do is get tested for Vit D. You can go somewhere like labcorp or quest. My test came back at 19ng which is low. So a quick way to get back up is to front load which I did. I took 50K IU and Vitamin D3 for two days. My vitamin D3 also came with vitamin K2 which is good. I then started taking 10k IU Vit D3 with K2 each day.
I got tested again after two months and I was at my goal of 60ng. The recommended range is 30ng to 100ng. An excellent easy to achieve level is 40ng to 60ng. My personal goal is to stay btwn 60ng and 80ng. Now I take 5k with Vit K2 each day as a maint dose. I plan on getting tested twice a year.
Results? Fewer colds, flu's, more energy .... And let me just say that there is no need to rush things. It took awhile to become deficient so if it takes a few months to get back up that is no problem... I also take magnesium and a one per day multivitamin.
Vit D deficiency is more prevalent with those who are dark skin, wear lots of clothes, live up north, older or obese.
Unless your are outside with few clothes on like a lifeguard, you probably could use some Vit D3 supplements ...

@@DillanRichardson. I can understand your point. I was deficient for a long time. My symptoms began as early as April, 2023. But it was only in December 2023 that I could make the diagnosis. I consulted so many doctors. They tested my blood count and thyroid repeatedly. Nobody even suggested to me regarding Vitamin D deficiency. According to them, things were fine but I went on suffering. My symptoms grew worse. I had frequent nasal congestions, sinus pain, extreme fatigue, muscle aches, back pain, joint pain, sleep apnea and what not. As months went by, I noticed I had difficulty in walking. My legs felt so heavy and I thought I would go mad. There were times I used to wake up at 2 am or 3 am at night, feeling I cannot breath. I used to pray whenever I woke up at night. Finally, by the end of November, I reached a point where I felt so shaky, I couldnt walk without the feeling that I was about to fall. It was only then that I found out about Vitamin D. I tested, and it was 12. I consulted another doctor with my results and I was asked to take Vitamin D3 60000 iu for 3 months. Those 3 months were a rollercoaster ride. There were ups and downs. Sometimes I would feel some improvement and some days were so bad. The people around me found difficulty in understanding me and my problems. I am just 30 years old, but for me I felt I was 90 or 100. I tested Vit D last week and it was 70 ng. But my legs still havent attained the strength to stand for some time. Things have improved a lot. But, I think I have miles to go before I reach what I consider normal. Thank you for your support. It means a lot to me.

Thank you for sharing this life saving information. I have studied vitamin D for 11 years and it saved my life. Most of the people who died or were seriously ill from covid-19 were deficient in vitamin D. It is very important that you take magnesium, vitamin K2, omega 3 fish oil, and zinc with the vitamin D daily. The 25(OH)D test is best to determine your vitamin D level. The 125 D test is more expensive and not as reliable. I keep my 25(OH)D level around 100 ng/ml and I have had only 2 mild colds and 1 very mild case of covid in the past 11 years. I am 77 years old and I am physically stronger and mentally sharper than I was 25 years ago. Every cell in our body has a vitamin D receptor and they are there for a reason. Thanks again.

I usually start feeling some relief in about 10 to 14 days. Make sure the Dr check your potassium as well. Some of the symptoms of low potassium are similar to low vitamin D, especially the weakness and heart palpitations.

I've been deficient for 6 years. I just didn't know how important it was at the time, and the first time i got the diagnosis of being deficient i had 10 and for the following years it was around 10-13. Exactly the same year i got the diagnosis, i developed a sudden spontaneous onset of panic disorder, it was brutal, and over the 3/4 years following that i had agoraphobia where i couldn't leave home, i was scared of dying all the time and i was under the assumption that something was wrong with my heart, brain, organs etc. Because of that, vitamin D was the last thing i thought of. Now 6 years later, i got 13.8 on my blood test and my doc told me seriously "this is serious" and gave me 2 bottles, a weekly d3 50k and a daily d2 5k, and so i started looking up vitamin d here on youtube.. and here I am. I research natural stuff that can help and order some tea off amazon, but i was thinking while waiting for my order a few days, maybe i should take some supplement and i happen to have d3 with k2 sitting around. This was pretty much by accident when i realize i MIGHT be vitamins deficient because, in THREE DAYS! Believe it or not, in three days, i was 90% better without allergy meds!
