seems like everyone has doctors that love to give anti depressants.
I had the same issue and was on them for 8 years and just grinded through life until one day my back and legs fell apart with pain.
One simple blood test is all it needed to diagnose vit d deficiency.
These doctors need to stop throwing anti depressants at everything!

    • @lashawnablanton4649
      @lashawnablanton4649 6 лет назад +8

MrAckers75 I agree. Been thru this also. This time I said no I'm NOT taking the antidepressant. There's something very bad going on in my body and if you don't help me I'm going to die. So finally bloodwork was done and showed my vit d was low a 15. And my folate high.

      MrAckers75,
Very true! We have to be very careful when we are "diagnosed" (many people don't even realize that diagnoses can be erroneous, but they and MDs treat like they are 100% objective) with "psychological" disbalances nowadays, today psychology is a very (too) trusted field, also because any thing can be labeled as "psychological issue".
Another thing that *very often* gets misdiagnosed as "depression" is Lyme disease.
      Beware, folks.

    • @LittleKitty22
      @LittleKitty22 5 лет назад +5

Yup, same here. My doctors throw antidepressants at people for everything. It's so bad that when I went to the doctors screaming in pain with a dental abscess (dentist refused to treat me) I left the surgery with a prescription for antidepressants!!! The correct treatment would have been antibiotics. Obviously I never took the antidepressants.
Same when I suffered an emotional shock - a doctor that had never met me, never even seen me and knew nothing about me (he was new to the surgery) tried to push antidepressants on me after 1 minute on the telephone! Emotional shock is NOT depression!
I must have suffered with severe Vitamin D deficiency for many years, if not decades because I have lost most of my hair, my bones hurt and have done so since I was 10, and many other symptoms. I've only been diagnosed a few months ago. Doctors do nothing but prescribe antidepressants for everything. It's absolutely disgusting! True depression is extremely rare, if it exists at all - there is usually a medical reason for it, or a person's circumstances in life are bad and need changing.

I just saw my doctor 2 weeks ago and told my doctor how I was hurting and tired. Five minutes into my appointment my doctor asked me if I was depressed!!!! I insisted that I was not and wanted my levels checked. Guess what?? Vitamin D deficiency of 11!!! How many of us are being diagnosed as depressed and being drugged needless. This makes me mad!

MrAckers. Being on antidepressants for 8 years when it was only vitD deficiency is pretty disgusting.u should bloody sue them.excuse the language but im seriously angry at that.I was feeling tired constantly for months and for someone normaly very energetic it was a nightmare.i could not focus. i had brain fuz constantly and couldnt keep my eyes open. Aching all over and started t feel ill all the time.i didnt c the doctor as i know they' crap so i rang for a blood test it seems i was seriously low on vitD( which is not realy a vitamin but a hormone)they also found i had extremely high calcium in my body that had caused a tumour on a throat gland which i am now waiting for an operation to have it removed. The point of my story lol. Is i would advise not only vitD checks but Thyroid checks also. Anyway look after urselves and stay well guys.💙

I have gone through EVERYTHING you mentioned! I am so happy that you made this video because this made me feel less alone and less crazy! My family acted like I was going crazy! I've been to the ER almost 20 times in the last 2 months! I was prescribed anxiety meds but they would only work for a short time and then the anxiety/panic attacks or heart attack like symptoms would just come back worse. I know i'm not crazy and I know my body. I hate when people try to tell me how I FEEL. I just stopped the meds cause I know that it's not mental. I later found out that I am too vitamin D deficient. You're right! I would not even wish this upon my worst enemies. It's horrible! It's debilitating at times! Nausea was horrible too. Thank you for making me feel better.

I found out about my severe vitamin D deficiency in March and in two months my levels went upto 33 ng from 7. I am aiming for 55ng.I started with 4K IU of d3 then went on to 10k IU along with magnesium, fish oil,Vit k2. It was life changing! I also had to correct my severe B12 and iron deficiency with shots and infusions respectively.I took a zinc + b complex capsule too. I also made some dietary changes by limiting dairy, gluten and sugar. I am a different person now. I used to have extreme hair fall, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, poor balance, bone pain, weak teeth, numbness in my toes, lack of concentration , poor memory, depression, anxiety and brain fog. My career, social life, relationships everything was suffering for so many years. I feel like over 75% of my problems are gone. It didn’t take too long, only a few months for this entire transformation. Please do not ignore nutritional deficiencies . I hope this helps people 🙏🏼

I can totally relate to this video. I was diagnosed with Vitamin D deficiency about 4 years ago but have had clear blood tests ever since. The doctors don't understand how to deal with Vitamin D deficiency and they'll just say that the palpitations are anxiety and no matter how many blood tests you have they'll just say everything is normal. I can connect every single symptom I've every had with this video and I always suffer the most in winter. I've been searching for an answer to my symptoms for so long that the GP started to assume that I was a hypochondriac. I've got a thyroid test booked in but if that comes back clear then I will be 100% sure that it's Vitamin D deficiency again (which I've had before). I went through the same process with my GP and then another GP for years before they told me I had vitamin D deficiency - severe deficiency - levels are 5nmol/litre. I wasn't even given supplements so had to insist they give me some and after many weeks I was prescribed 800IU a day AND non vegan ones... pills. Then went back to my GP and insisted he prescribe a higher dose and vegan ones. He gave me 2,700IU in liquid form and still not vegan, so I had to buy my own.
I'm upping my dose to 10,000IU a day and then insisting on a blood test in 2 months to see if my levels have increased. I have osteomalacia _ adult rickets. The agony!

I had been feeling really depressed and tired all the time for months. No one understands how much a vitamin d deficiency can affect every day life. They think I'm being dramatic. You are the first person to acknowledge and understand exactly how I have been feeling so thanks! I still feel horrible lol but it's only been a few weeks since I have been taking the supplement so I am hopeful.

I have probably 25 symptoms due to this condition. My vision wasn't great to begin with and I do wear glasses to see driving long distance at night but can see fine to read close up. Suddenly my vision started worsening to the point I was convinced I was going blind. Started with months of dry eyes that couldn't be relieved by drops. Then started noticing everything is blurry and I could not focus far away or close. Just started treatment and also taking Lutein for eye health. Hoping for some positive change.

My issues was sleeping . . the anxiety did not let me go to sleep or stay asleep. Over time it sucks and sucks and only got worse. Thankfully I took a magnesium supplement and it worked wonders for some muscle cramps. Tried Vit D3 just because, purely by chance . . and wow. I could go to sleep . . and stay asleep. Only got better. Only after awhile I figured it out that it was the vitamin D. My body just responded so well to it. It was like . . didn't you know they was a problem !!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't, and to find out later it is so common here in the US. Thanks for the video, brave of you.

Thank you for this. I was recently diagnosed with low d. I have spent 6 years going to several doctors, and them telling me it's in my head before I found the one I am going to now. I took my first dose today and look forward to feeling human again and not feeling like a crazy hypochondriac. Tired of everything hurting and being tired all the time. I have experienced all that you mentioned, plus some hair loss, dry skin, and not being able to lose weight. My doctor checked me for everything under the sun and low d is the only issue and once I get it normal in my body again all should go away. Luckily it is fairly easy to fix :)

Lower back pain, GI issues, muscle twitching, brain fog, left arm and leg tingling then burning pain. Really did think I was dying at some points. Luckily my doctor is sharp, and he tested me for a bunch of things, including vitamin deficiencies. Everything came back good except, sure enough, vitamin D. My levels were at 16. Im currently on week 4 of 10K units a day and I can say that I have seen some improvement. Still get tired more easily, still have some pains in random places that come and go, but I feel a bit more like myself. Good luck to everyone on their road to recovery!

hello, just wondering what your levels were when you had your bloods done, i was measured at 11, the amount of crap being really low in this vitamin { should really call it a hormone } is bad, every since the doc's first told me about 2 years back i keep dropping, the first signs for me are massive bone pain, stomach cramps, ibs type symptoms, really bad memory,...tired like i'd never slept( you need vi td to be able to drop into the rem stage of your sleep pattern and then your body can help repair without it, you will be struggling, the symptoms i have mentioned are just the tip of the ice burg...nee mind the fact that when you are so low when you first start on the high doses i get even worse bone pain, just remember you can't self regulate your levels using tablets..you need to check with blood tests,..where as with the sun your body self regulates, best advice i could give any one , first 15 mins a day get some sun with out any sun cream on your arms and face, that is usually enough for you to bring your levels up. and getting sun through a window does nothing for your levels, if you feels really low do a check to see if there are any tanning beds around your area that use uvb, not uva tubes 2mins on these at a time will hit the spot....good luck to every one, fingers crossed for you all.

Sunshine vitamin or steroid was the most powerful medicine on earth given by our CREATOR. Sun Exposure
The best way to get vitamin D3 is through sun exposure. Go outside and get some sun, especially in the mid-day when it’s the strongest.
However, many of us use sun block, which is good for our skin but not so helpful when it comes to the production of vitamin D3. By blocking out the UVA and UVB rays, sun block can interfere the skin’s ability to synthesize vitamin D3. GOD BLESS.

I so appreciate this video. You have helped me more than the Doctors. I'm struggling with many of these symptoms right now. It's been going on for years. It has been devastating. I've been searching for answers as to what's wrong with me. Your video just confirmed it's Vitamin D deficiency. I've been given tests results stating my level is 13. Prior to that it was 11. However, the Doctors never went into the significance of that. They just suggested I get Vitamin D from the store and take it daily. I did that but didn't see a huge improvement. Therefore, I stopped taking it and continued looking for answers. Your video lets me know I wasn't taking enough for long enough. Can you please share your resource sites and information about recovery time? I'm in tears because you described my ordeal but I could not find answers before this video. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much ! You're amazing ! I've been having a vitamin D deficiency for a year with 8,4 ng/mL I didn't experience muscle pain (or not more than usual) but yes just takes you ages to actually properly wake up everyday, meaning I couldn't start doing anything until lunch time or further. And as a student I've seen my energy levels and cognitive/mental capacities plumet drastically. It's unfortunate to experience that but at least, it's a relief when you finally sort it out and realize that what you have is serious business and that it's not just you being lazy or depressed for no actual reason. We don't understand how dominated we are by hormones and those nutrients. It's also due to living in the modern world where sedentarily and lack of sun and nature is a major issue. Also I'm overweight and I read that overweight and obese people have a higher tendency to be deficient. Thx so much for sharing, because quite a lot of people don't take it that seriously ! xoxo

Are you feeling better? I have the same symptoms plus electric shock pains all over body. MRI, EMG, and nerve conduction test came back clear. My vitamin D levels were at 17. I have been supplementing with 10,000 vitamin D3 with K2 daily plus multi vitamins and magnesium. I still see no improvements. My neurologist said it’d take about 4 months for me to see improvement. It’s been almost a month.

Can I ask if you experienced a cold sensation on your face? Not cold to the touch but just a really cold sensation. It seems to come on every winter for me and that’s when I become deficient again.
The cold air and even cold air conditioning makes my skin feel super cold on the inside but like I said not cold to the touch. The cold sensation then starts to burn like an ice burn and feels like my face is sunburnt.
It’s so strange and doctors look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them. But it only happens when my vitamin d levels drop.

Thank you so much I’m so glad you have shared this video. I am going the through the exact same thing where I knew there was something wrong with me. From feeling lethargic and tired all the time I’m constantly falling asleep I feel dizziness and that same feeling of not being quite in the world and feeling like I’m falling apart. I’ve been feeling breathless even when I walk very short distances and constantly feeling like I can’t carry my legs when I’m waking as they feel so heavy. Also been feeling the tingling pins and needles sensation on the left side of my face occasionally and back pain. I had blood tests done and and they all came back clear. Went to the hospital and to walk in centre at different times and they said I’m fine all is normal and they said I’m probably stressed and they are not taking me seriously. I also had heart palpitations and flutters and even had an ECG fine which didn’t find anything wrong with my heart. Started googling things and coming up with my own diagnoses but I’m quite certain now its low Vit D. I know this because the feeling started two months ago prior to my going away. I went to South Africa for two weeks I didn’t get any of the symptoms while I was there yet they returned about a week after my return. I do take Vitamin D supplements but clearly they are no way near the right dose. Will be going to the GP this week. Thanks again

Your video saved me. I had no idea what’s going on. Doctors in Uk don’t check vitamin D. For 12 months I was battling something i thought i was going going to die of. I had severe photophobia, nausea, I wasn’t eating for days. My hands were super stiff and painful. Eventually my leg started hurting and becoming weak. I had troubles walking because it was feeling like I was dragging my leg. Migraine was killing me, I had headaches for weeks without stopping. I was misdiagnosed chronic migraines and I tried many different medications which didn’t help at all. I went through so many doctors no one had an idea what’s wrong with me. Until I saw your video and went to do vitamin D blood test privately. Now I’m back to life. Hope your are well❤️

My symptoms are exactly like yours. The first time, I felt fluttering in my heart which caused me to lose my breath, my body hurt, my head was pounding on one side, I had no energy and I had a bad cough so, I went to the emergency room and when I described my symptoms, the nurse had the nerve to giggle!! I was extremely offended. They didn't take my blood. The doctor sent me home saying that I PROBABLY had bronchitis. A few months later, I just couldn't shake it so I went to the clinic. I knew about my anemia, so I asked the nurse if they could check my levels. They did a blood test and found out that my vitamin d was an 18. I was given a supplement and felt better for a while.
This time, I was having the same symptoms. Labs were done and my vitamin d level was 16! I have to say, I feel like crap! I just found out I have arthritis in my spine and I'm in pain everyday!!! I have no friends, so I'm a little emotionally destroy. Folks don't realize the toll it takes on your mind and body. I understand you 100%!!!

Feel like crying watching this. I was never even diagnosed and still haven’t been officially. I’ve lived such a painful existence since early February. I was constantly sick with viral infections back to back. I then got infected with strep and accidentally stumbled upon relief when I complained to the nurse about extreme fatigue and she told me to buy vitamin D supplements. Within 30 mins of taking 1 dose of 10,000 units I felt completely different. Now I’m waiting desperately for my doctor’s appointment so I can get labs ordered to check my vitamin D level.
The way I relate to the “out of body” brain fog feeling is insane. Gosh I’m just so emotional right now and can’t believe I have had to live through this for over 6 months. It’s been so so hard. The anxiety, feeling like I couldn’t breathe. Passing out while getting my nails done. :(

My doctor prescribed anti-anxiety meds also, but I didn't take them. After months of trying different doctors, I went to a neurologist and she said everything was normal except my vitamin D levels were very low. She didn't seem that concerned about it so I ignored it. Ive been having symptoms building for about three years now starting with my senior year of high school. Watching this made me wanna cry. I thought I was dying, and everyone everywhere said its anxiety and never looked into it. The googling made it worse. ALS, all the cancers, MS, I was sure I wouldn't make it to 20. My GP tested me for std's out of desperation and my vitamin d level came back as 16. After doing a lot of research Ive realized how much this shit affects you. You really do feel like something is WRONG. detached from reality, and slow as hell. Muscle twitches/cramps, tingling, intense back and chest pains, headaches, brain fog, random muscle pains, feelings of hot and cold, anxiety, low mood, trouble sleeping, lack of appetite. But I have a history of depression and panic so nobody really thought it was anything real. Ive started supplementing 50K IU once a week and slowly but surely ive noticed little changes. Certain muscle twitches are much better and my grades are improving as the anxiety decreases, everything else isn't QUITE as bad but I'm still a wreck. slowly but surely gonna be making progress. Thank you so much for making this video.
