Not a good daily driver for cell usage but it’s pretty good as a music player. Map and message FaceTime as long as a wifi signal is available. I’ve got a ratty one that sits in my glovebox and is a music player. I don’t know about g3 usage but this would be a great choice for keeping in a toolbox if you need a flashlight camera calculator map voice recorder etc.
Nice vid, f in the chat for your office chair! Too bad you didn’t get that on camera though, would’ve been entertaining for us! 😃 The iPhone 4s are still interesting phones for sure and probably one of my favorite form factor of such too
Heh, it would have been pretty funny to have caught it on video. I actually just got out of school right before the chair broke, so I’m thankful for that lol.
The iPhone 4 is one of my favorite designs for an iPhone. It’s still modern looking, even for being over 10 years old.

SpeedTalk Mobile is the only carrier that still supports 3G in the US. I use it for my iPhone 4S as a secondary phone.

6:20 that’s cool how reddit still works on iOS 7 which is crazy old now.
Wish we had the ios 7 font in ios 17, even as a setting, along with slide to unlock. Pressing home is ok, but sliding across the screen is way better to me.
Honestly i prefer the iphone 4/5 better than my iphone 12. I only use my phone for texting and playing the music. Those are the only things that i do with a phone. The iphone 4/5 is so light and small. Its good for texting!

That case is actually a Verizon branded case that generally comes with a belt clip. I have used it on every one of my iPhones dating back to the 4 until current iPhone 12, and I must say it is actually a very phenomenal and durable case. Have dropped my phone many of times and it never cracks.
It may not look like much protection but shockingly it’s super durable .

Hey, I just found your channel and I really like your videos! I've been wanting to experiment with my 4s for a while now (actually since around this time last year) and it sucks that almost every carrier in the US doesn't even support 3g phones anymore. I have Verizon and it looks like 3g phones on that network became unsupported at the end of 2019 :/ Do you happen to know any carriers that might support it?

Second, I’ve been searching myself, and I can’t find any carriers. Maybe T-Mobile still supports them? I’ll keep looking, though.

Well, iBooks just worked for me somehow, as long as you sign in to your iCloud account, and Find My iPhone works as long as you enable it in your iCloud settings.

You can downgrade your GSM iPhone 4 to iOS 4, 5, or 6 (depending on when your unit was made), and you can downgrade your CDMA iPhone 4 to iOS 6 (though it’s really hard.). Snapchat has been broken on iOS 7 since at least 2018. The reason why AT&T says you need an iPhone 6 or later for cellular service is because though the 5 and later support 4G, only the iPhone 6 or later have a feature to have a feature to stay on 4G.
Correct, since the iPhone 5, 5C, and 5S still rely on 3G towers for voice calls. Theoretically these devices could still function in 2022 and beyond after the 3G shutdown if the carriers allowed it, but they would only be able to use 4G for data. They wouldn't be able to make phone calls or send SMS or MMS messages.

Actually I had to use the iPhone 4s because my current phone broke..it wasn't bad but there was limited apps but better than the older ones i guess

I would not recommend it, if you live in the US, you can’t use it for Phone calls, SMS and MMS texts, or Data, period. Carriers have long since moved away from 3G, if not, they’re going to.

no, you just type your two-step authentication code with your password then it will sign in just like normal.
I assume you’re talking about email; I use gmail for my email client, so the 2 factor authentication doesn’t work the same way on older devices.

Why does it have the iOS 14 Apple Music icon tho
The music icon was red in iOS 7 and early versions of 8. Apple then changed the icon in 8.4 to the white one. They went back to a similar, though not the same, red music icon in iOS 14. I guess Apple thought the red icon from yesteryear looked better, and I agree with that.
Iphone 4 is BEST phone ever made by Apple...I use it till 2016...now I use Iphone 4s(: New Iphone is very bad thing...Everything is working oni Iphone 4s what I need...even games...Apple think similar to me and they will relase Iphone 4 again next year..(:

If I were to do that, I’d also probably use the iPhone 4S for a week as well, though I’d need to replace the battery in mine first, as the battery health is at 39%. :/
