- I used an iPhone 3G for a week. It honestly wasn't a horrible experience, and I would do it again (maybe with an iPhone 3GS) in the future!

FYI, battery percentage isn’t an iOS 5 thing, it’s an iPhone 3GS thing, it was on 3.0 and later, but originally only for 3GS.

Also back in its day if you remember correctly, iOS was way different even on 12.5.7 the voice even on that phone is way different compared to today’s. It was more robotic nowadays phones. They sound so much more humanistic the iPhones we have today sound more like a human speaking.

I’ve got an iPhone 3G in my iPhone collection
That is really cool. I still have my old iPhone with me. I took it out of service because now I have the 14+ and the 13 but I still can use the 5S it does not make any phone calls because I took it out of service but the RUclips app no longer works on it. I had to downgrade it an older version of RUclips And I actually did end up having to clear away a lot of the apps that were on it. It’s a 16 gig and for that time it felt like it had a lot of apps on it. The last iOS version was iOS 12.5.7 and actually that was not a firmware update that was security updates. It is super slow too even with first GEN touch ID.

Also, I forgot to mention the batteries, crap lol it does not even last an hour where is back in the day the phone definitely felt in its day like it flew, and it felt speedy like today’s phones but now looking forward years and those times of the 5S have gone The battery really sucks on it and you might get an hours worth so if I’m gonna use it I have to keep it plugged in Also the phone gets warm even back in its day. It did get warm, but I think that was the feature of that phone. Anyway the 5S had that a seven chip and even just opening the home screen is very hard for the phone even listening to videos on RUclips and searching the web. The phone gets warm, but that’s the neat thing about a vintage phone. It’s pretty cool to see how far we’ve come the speed as well when I use that phone and my number one phone the 14+, there is a night and day difference in speed. Also the battery I do believe lasted a whole day on a single back then but today it doesn’t even last in an hour.

The iPhone 3GS is much faster and can do a lot more, but now that 3G networks are gone, everything before the iPhone 5 can no longer be a phone.
Yep, technically anything before the 6, actually. While the 5-5S support 4G, they don't support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) which means they can't place phone calls or text messages (iMessage would still work), as they relied on 3G to do that. :)

RUclips takes up like 90-95% of my day. I’d be bored with no RUclips and no games. Give me like subway surfers or something and I’d be good to go.
Jailbreaking can both fix RUclips and enable you to install old games such as Subway Surfers.

The iPod's processor is clocked higher (533 MHz vs 412 MHz).
I actually have an iPhone 3GS not the 3G and its literally the opposite of what you are saying I'm not even lying

@@MattsTech I wanna say that you we’re pretty lucky with your find. I also have a 3G (4.2.1, jailbroken) and the battery life is absolutely terrible. I have trouble getting through the day

Well, I wanted a stock experience, just as if someone picked up the phone and tried to use it as is.
The average consumer doesn’t jailbreak devices, so that’s why I made the video like I did.
