before this expansion was announced I spent a LOT of time building a cow plant farm in windenburg. built them a barn and stalls and everything when I got cottage living I considered changing it to a regular cow farm buuuut I really am attached to the plant cows....

You can build a basement stretching the entirety of the lot. Put the chickens in multi-level basements and leave one coop out front of a nice cottage for facade.

I worked in a slaughterhouse for a little while, it was unpleasant and not something I'd choose to do for a living, but the animals weren't allowed to be in distress, it's illegal to cause unnecessary harm to the animals. No one there was a psychopath getting their kicks off torturing animals either, we were there to do a job, quickly, efficiently without causing unnecessary pain. When the animals came into the slaughterhouse, they were instantly stunned dead and were quickly dealt with. It's the circle of life. If these animals were in the wild being eaten by any other animal, they wouldn't always have the mercy of a quick death.
You CAN turn sims into grilled cheese sims in this sims aswell funny enough. You just need to feed them a few sandwiches. Santa would be a good test subject
