I developed dermatitis on my face in the T Zone area, Inflamed, painful, ITCHY red blotches that were sooo uncomfortable, and embarrassing to deal with! I had to face the fact that I was a junk food eating vegetarian for the last 7 years, and thought I was "Relatively healthy" I splashed tons of Olive Oil on everything! After bin watching Dr McDougall, Rob Stuart, and other incredibly helpful utube contributors......I immediately changed my diet to a starch based whole food, plant based diet.......Its been 2 months.....My dermatitis has vanished, my husband says my face is glowy, like a china doll, my bloaty tummy is flat, I FEEL so friggin incredible......Like a TEENAGER!! I want to shout this information from the mountain tops, so no one else has to suffer!!!!!!Dr McDougall is my hero, and I am forever grateful for my renewed health....THANK YOU!

I had Psoriasis for more than 50 years. Started right after I got married which was a stressful year. It jumped around my body, going away from one place and popping up another. About 20 years ago I got a bad infection on my wrist and when it healed Psoriasis set in there. It never cleared up like other spots. Last year it was getting much worse and from my reading I had the idea to try a completely plant based whole food diet and in 6 weeks I was Psoriasis free. A little while later, while traveling I let meat creep back into my diet and Psoriasis crept back with it. I am now a true believer in plant based eating. I’m not 100% because I still put cream in my coffee and once in a while have some ice cream but that is about the end of my deviation.

I also had Psoriasis for 50 years. A year ago I began eating a Whole Foods plant based diet, pretty much vegan, and Psoriasis has gone away and stays away depending on my compliance. I am convinced this is the healthiest diet assuming I choose healthy foods meaning unprocessed fruits, veggies, and whole grains. In addition to Dr McDougall, I was also helped by Dr Don Colbert, a Psoriasis sufferer himself, and wrote Let Food be Your Medicine. I am grateful to these two men and their work in this area

Same here. Being Vegan really helped to stop psoriasis and Neurodermitis. I am now following HCLF diet, since I love fruit.

What works for some folk does not always work for another, I was diagnosed with Psoriasis several months ago, but I have had symptoms for more than a year, I have removed Gluten from my diet, eating plenty of veggies, drinking lots of fluids[water] I've seen some improvement on my legs, back, stomach, but my hands are still swollen,&the skin on my feet r still hyper, now I'm about to eliminate dairy products and I pray that it work. thanks, will update you when it works.

I've had Psoriasis since 1997 (19 years) & a fruitarian diet cleared me up 99% after 5 months but was plane annoying having to eat every hour some dates or a smoothie or pile of mangoes...time to try the starch solution me thinks!

Fruits have helped me tremendously with healing my psoriasis as well, but likewise it can become tiresome. Unfortunately when I reduce the fruit too much in favor of starches my healing seems to take a dip.

I have been on McD diet for a year with no improvement in my psoriasis. I'm really happy for your cure and wonder if I am missing something. Did you also stop gluten? Thanks!

Hi Casey! FYI: Dr. McDougall recommends that if his low fat plant based starch solution isn't working for you, you probably have a food allergy. in that case, he outlines on his website how to do a elimination diet to find out what's the trigger food (or more than one food). Once you find the culprits and remove them plus follow his diet, your psoriasis should disappear...

Are you keeping your intake of fat below 10% of your total calories on a daily basis? For example on a 2000 calorie diet, that would be 200 calories max from fat. There are 9 calories per gram of fat - so that would be 22 grams of fat or less per day on a 2000 calorie diet.

I've had psoriasis for 25 years and now have psoriatic arthritis. Have cut out sugar, coffee, meat, dairy and just found Dr. McD. Wonder if she started with the elimination diet or regular McD diet.

My mother suffered with psoraisis for many years, doing all of the expensive treatments, taking all kinds of medications that were really awful. When she was 73, she moved in with me and changed her diet to a vegan diet and within about 6 months, her psoraisis was 95% gone. She is 76 and still all clear of plaque and rashes.

I suspect the cheese and tomatoes / nightshades. Both heavy in Italian diets.

I am very glad and impressed of this success. However, I can´t accept that the dropping of the olive oil was one of the reasons for the improvement.Extra Virgin olive oil has been part of the Mediterranean diet for centuries, and all available research shows its many health benefits.Of course, it may be impossible to prove my comment on this particular case at this point, but I would suggest that dropping dairy and animal protein was the reason for the improvement, and not the lack of olive oil

jlua food processing has changed in the recent century so saying that we did something in the past doesn’t mean it’s the same now... especially chemicals used in agriculture is very much worse than a century ago
