Nice results! For these scenes it seems that the whitebalance was okay, even without tuning in MLVApp. When using a non-RAW export from MLVApp, whitebalance tuning is the most important step, because this can't be changed in any step later without quality loss.
Subbed! I'm waiting for my EOS M to arrive in the shop. Can't wait to start shooting Sakura Cherry blossoms this spring. Always appreciate your good work. And to be honest I prefer your style more than Zeek's. Your's have a more modern cinematic taste to your colors. Zeek has a 80's 90's film look, which is also good. But just a personal preference. Thanks for sharing your steps on grading.
Bro, is there anyway that you could tell me your export settings that you use after converting to Arri log. Code setting, debater setting, and smooth aliasing setting? Thanks, man.
i found it takes so long to export anything from mlv app other than cDNG (because it doesn't use the gpu). by now i just simply do DNG since davinci reads it just fine. with the new color management in 17 it's also super easy to work in any intermediate format you like. just choose davinci yrgb color managed, custom and set your transforms. for me it's worth the extra storage space.
@@GlennUpgraded The application processing your footage will do a debayering. Resolve is made for footage where all pixels are read out. For M this means crop mode footage will look good, and anamorphic or 1080p modes won't. MLVApp is optimized for handle such modes, because ML cameras are the only cameras today which record such RAW footage.
so you can use raw files straight to desolve or do you still need to convert the files? sorry im still confused with raw settings and how to edit it and make it useable files.
@@lumingate thank you so much i love your videos. you inspired me to get an eos m and shoot raw.. if it's not too much to ask if you can make a video about settings, how you shoot and how you convert em and edit em, like the whole process of making a usable cinematic films/ video thank you so much again i loved your videos.. thank you
you dont have raw color when you convert the files into .mov. so there no benefits of doing that what you show here. better way is to jump right away to davinci with cinema DNG files and convert them then.
Darn, the results are amazing, and this is the quickest + best looking EOS M workflow/footage I've seen thus far. 🔥👏
In what format did you export mlv app ? Important info for a workflow tutorial

Hi! How do you flip the orientation of the video in this app?
Dude damm colors O.O lovelly results
What mode do you shoot in? 1080p? Ever have the weird moire/aliasing problem?

Epic mate! Stoked you found the M! Lots of fun coming up!
@@lumingate yes, got 1 for $100! And already order the 15-45mm for the stm… and got a pk mount adapter for my Pentax lenses. This is gonna be fun!
*THANKS, MATE!!!* 👍🏾👍🏾💗
Thanks for tutorial!
what are your export settings ?
Prores lt in slog3

I’m wondering, is there a difference in applying the LUT using Davinci VS LUT in MLV App ?
great work!!!
That is SIMPLE. Thanks for the video.
Question, what format are you exporting as in MLV app? H264/265? Prores 4:4:4?
Just Prores 264!
@@lumingate I was gonna ask this as well but rewatched and it looks like you exported as Prores 422 LT
Yeah! ❤

But when using DNG you don't use the great MLVApp debayering algorithms. Resolve produces tons of artifacts in direct comparison.
@@MaSc can you tell more about this? I just got an eos m, and I'm thinking of what's a good workflow when editing with Resolve and MLVapp.

@@MaSc thanks for the reply. So what would be your suggestion?
I'm alao using Resolve Studio by the way.
@@GlennUpgraded Suggestion? Hm. Read again my last post: use always what fits best your needs.
What are your exporting settings in mlv app?
Such a crucial info...
this is the video I've been looking for!
so you can use raw files straight to desolve or do you still need to convert the files? sorry im still confused with raw settings and how to edit it and make it useable files.
Yeah you need to convert the mlv file from the camera before resolve!

When you export do you export as a dng
Hello, there!🙃
can we get the Lut? :)
Do you put everything into mlv and export it all at once
you dont have raw color when you convert the files into .mov. so there no benefits of doing that what you show here.

Thanks mate ill try it out!
Apologies for a basic question - I'm new to this - but is raw colour as important as bit depth when the aim is a faster workflow?
next time dampen the music so we can here you normal, I am out, to bad
MLV is so insanely slow though
Its only slow if you need to format it into compressed files. CDNG is very quick to heavy on storage!
Dump the background when verbalizing, so annoying.
