I made it but i used paprika boya insteaf of something else. And i taste it and doesent taste amazing at all. More amazing is romanian food, like onion with a little salt, oil, and vinegar. I dont understand if boya is different or not but is a simple taste for me.

I made this back in April with green onions from my garden. It is absolutely spectacular. I've been enjoying it for almost 2 months now and it just keeps getting better. It's my favorite kimchi by far and it's so easy to make. 😊

If any of you have access to the thinner "tree onions" or "Egyptian onions"(Allium × proliferum, known as 쪽파/jjokpa in Korean), you can use that instead (cutting isn't necessary in that case). Tree onions are the standard type of green onions used for pa-kimchi in Korea. However, this type which uses "Welsh onions"(대파/daepa) has also become popular in the recent years, especially after Kim Soo-mi showcased a recipe using daepa.

It’s really difficult to get pa kimchi here in malaysia, and they sell it for $4 for 150gm online! Maangchi! I absolutely love your videos. They cheer me up on difficult days. Long time ago I requested a video on pickled garlic, do you remember? could you pretty please make the video for us on pickling veggies the Korean way? When I was little the Han family always shared their delicious food with me and Korean food became one of my true loves 🤣 The Hans moved back to Korea and I lost touch that is until last year I was miraculously able to find them on Facebook, your friend’s story reminded me of them.
