Hollywood Graveyard what a great xmas gift, thank you my friend for all that you do and the great intertainment that you provide us,can't wait to see what you have in store for us for 2019, best wishes to you and you're family ❤️
I love Danny Kaye! He's been my favourite ever since they aired his movies during one rainy summer back in the early 90s. He's one of the greatest entertainers of all time.
Love these videos. James Cagney always my favorite - he could do it all: drama, comedy, musicals. Great actor and great guy. He should have gotten Oscar for "White Heat." Outstanding performance!
What better way to close out the New York cemetery tours than to go see the final resting places of two of the greatest Yankee legends of the '20s and '30s, Lou 'Iron Horse' Gehrig and Babe 'Sultan of Swat' Ruth? They were just two of the key pieces of what would become a mega dynasty in Major League Baseball from the '20s through the '50s. Rest in peace, Babe and Lou - your legacies will never be forgotten by all the Yankee fans (and haters) in America.
I'm a Australian and I found all the 5 videos completely educational about the History of New York from the various wonderful different people who created New York from the beginning to today in the year of 2019,, EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT.
Every morning, I wake up, make breakfast and watch an episode of Hollywood Graveyard, such a peaceful and respectful way to start my day. Thank you Mr Dark for your understanding and respect for “those who lived to entertain us” we salute you ❤️ from the UK 🇬🇧
No, thank YOU Mr. Dark! I loved the tours of all of the graveyards and your attention to detail, including film clips of the departed. (I still get chills down my spine every time I see Lou Gehrig’s farewell speech!) I look forward to more of your excellent productions in the new year. Cheers!
I live in Connecticut about 90 minutes from this place, my buddy and I went there last summer, it was amazing, we missed some of the graves on this video, we'll make sure to find them when we go again, it was a rainy day when we went. We were there mostly for Cagney & Babe Ruth & Billy Martin, I didn't know Gehrig was next door in Kensico but we found it on the map. The architecture of the tombs, the plots and stones is breathtaking, truly amazing stuff to see. The sections of mass Chinese graves was stunning, all in Chinese, script as well. And the blue chapel was incredible.
Just going back in time and watching your videos again. The more I do the more I learn to appreciate your workmanship so much more!! I have been a financial supporter of your RUclips channel as well as on Pateron!! In my humble opinion, its the best money I have ever spent!! Please keep up the great work! We, your undying and ever appreciative fans, cannot wait until you reveal your next work of art!!!

Another ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT PRESENTATION. Thank you so much for showing me the graves of my all time favourite stars. The greatest modern musician to me was THE GREAT TOMMY DORSEY. Loved his rendition of Song of India, and I am getting sentimental over you. No one can replace Tommy in my book. Rachmaninoff was also one of my all time classical composers. Loved Anne Brancroft and Jimmy Cagney. Thanks for the memories mate. Have a Bonza New Year.
I wake up on Christmas morning and here is the episode I've been waiting for!! Gate of Heaven is on top of my cemetery Bucket List for it is the final resting place of my favorite actor, Sal Mineo. What a marvelous job you do with this series. You're a true blessing to me! Oh, PS... Tying together this episode, Claire Ruth, who is buried with her husband George "Babe" Ruth, was a Zigfield Girl!
The entire New York series is a masterpiece. My thanks to Arthur Dark for his usual excellence and to all who contributed to such a splendid production. May you all have a healthy and productive New Year. Be safe and be well.
I was just chatting with my my sister today about her favorite Cagney film, White Heat, and the iconic finale. So glad you added this to his filmography - thank you!
7:21 Danny Kaye is my all time favourite actor He's been my favourite actor since I was 10 years old and my mum (who's also love his film) brought Hans Christian Andersen. I was over the moon when you mention 'The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty' cause that film is my all time favourite ever, its the kind of film I can watch over, over, and over again. No one that I know, really knows this film, so thank you for mentioning it xxx 'I wasn't born a fool. It took work to get this way.' - Danny Kaye
I appreciate that you made the effort to visit so many different cemeteries on your NY trip. It was amazing to see so many graves both in the city and out. My favorite memory of Soupy Sales was always his appearances on the Pyramid. He was one of the best celebrity players.
I love your channel. Excellent cinematography and filmography. Never a second have I got bored watching Hollywood Graveyard since Forest Lawn Glendale series. Keep up the good work Arthur! You are a great filmographer and narrator in the making. Tears rolled down my eyes the last time of New York part 4 visiting Aaliyah in Rosewood Mausoleum in Ferncliff. She was too young to die. She was one of my favorite R&B singers. I met her in person in early 2000 during her Romeo Must Die premier.
This was my first series of graveyard visits I've watched. They have been informative, creative and presented very respectfully. Our tour guide is well informed and quick with the one liners! I find cemetaries fascinating places and cant wait to watch more of them. Thank you for such a wonderful video!!!

Happy New Year Arthur and Gueseppi! Just watched all five superb videos, and they were so enjoyable and interesting as always. I’m with you Arthur and your love of Stain glass windows, you found some beauties during your travels, but I have to comment on the St Francis Chapel at the end which was a surreal beauty in itself. You have used an awful lot of shoe leather, and walked miles for us, but we all really appreciate all that you have researched, found and shared with us. Living in the U.K. I would never get the chance to visit all these places let alone find the graves as you did! Thankyou all again, and look forward to what you find this year! Warm regards Helen in U.K. 🙋👍😘
One thing that stands out the most is how young some of these entertainers were when they died and how much they accomplished in a short period. I have enjoyed all 5 episodes of New York graves!
Thank you so very much on these videos!! It’s amazing how beautiful some cemeteries are, but also how very sad & shocking that some well known people are laid to rest in very mediocre graves. I think these videos are extremely well made, as well as informative, but respectful. Please keep them coming!!!
I was heart broken when James Cagney passed away, he was a great actor. My uncle Joe looked acted and walked exactly like him. He will be truly missed by many especially me. RIP Mr . Cagney I will see you in heaven.

Thank you Arthur for your tours! They're so informative and interesting. I watch these over and over and learn so much about the folks you highlight. Very well done; keep up the good work!! 😉❤📽🎬
Thumbs up before I even watch because I know it will be awesome!! My dad was recently at the VA in Salt Lake City so I spent a lot of time in Olivet Cemetery walking around, I love that place - Lilly Gray Victim of the Beast 666
I am going to share this with a Cagney group on Facebook. I LOVED your tribute to him and your beautiful pictures surround his final resting place. Thank you :)
Thank you very much for this New York series, Mr. Dark! I have enjoyed all 5 of them immensely! Your work is amazing, and I look forward to the next one, the one after that, and so on! Merry Christmas to you, Sir!

Can't wait for you to post new videos. Fascinated by the peoples' lives you reveal. As a Brit so many of these people are just names and reputations. So lovely to discover the people behind the legends.
Another truly spectacular and inspiring video. Each of the “tributes” you offer to these golden souls of yesteryear add an extra dimension of realism that helps me (and many, many others) to understand and appreciate all of their trials and accomplishments. Thank you (so much!) for providing such a wonderful series of videos. You possess a rare and wonderful talent. I wish you (and yours) a very Merry Christmas and a Happy (and prosperous) New Year!
Thank you so, so much for this tour of NY and its departed history! I love the whole series. Feels bittersweet for some people now long gone (Anne Bancroft Brooks) but at least we can live on through their movies and gravestones. :) Happy Holidays Arthur! Pssst, welcome back!
Thank you for this series. I love it- still getting through the series. I live in Westchester County in NY and spent the day following your tour of the plots yesterday. I was able to find Joan Crawford, Ed Sullivan, Aaliyah, Heavy D, Babe Ruth, Sal Mineo, Mrs Houdini and James Cagney. My family is buried at Gate of Heaven so it was pretty easy to navigate but Kensico was almost impossible bc their markets are all broken so I was unable to find everyone. Thanks again for making the series!
So glad I found your videos this year, Arthur. Thanks for the great Christmas gift! The New York series was my favorite. Looking forward to joining you on more fascinating tours in 2019.
Just finished watching your New York searies! Absolutely incredable. Nicely and tastefully fillemed. You left me wanting more, please. Thanks for sharing. Excellent work!! Ax

@@pattimessenger6214 Religious family members who didn't want her buried in the 'other' cemetery because that 'other' cemetery's religion clashed with their own.
MegaDirtyberty I think that Bess made her own feelings about Catholicism clear when she married a Jew and lived a secular life. In fact, her plot next to Harry was already bought and paid for, headstone already, only the year to be added. That new grave site and headstone probably weren’t cheap. I don’t think Harry and Bess had children. Her parents were probably already dead. The decision to move her to a new cemetery was made by surviving siblings or nieces or nephews. Maybe they used the Catholicism excuse because of their own anti-Semitic bias.
Thank you for this evocative tour of a beloved place from my childhood. Some relatives were buried near the Saint Francis of Assisi chapel, which was always such a soothing place, both inside and out.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a prosperous new year to all of you, from Hollywood Graveyard. See you in 2019!
Love your channel! Merry Christmas.
Same to you! Looking forward to more tours in the new year!

Right shame about Bess Houdini. It’s disappointing how her family could just override her final wishes like that
Disgusting, innit? People like that, I prefer no family.
That's religion for ya.
MegaDirtyberty I don’t think so. I think it was family members who didn’t honor her wishes.
