Yes! I had heard it in another vlog! The Stars.hired him to decorate their homes! They said that he was magnificent and his work was by word of mouth! He got wealthy off of his referrals alone!
There should be an award for people like you, who do this sort of commentary. Your voice, your background music and your dedication, are very much admired. So far, I have heard no one even come close to your style, that do this sort of Tribute.
Arthur Dark consistently impresses; not just with his creativity on all levels, but for his desire for accuracy. We all need to express our thanks to him for his unswerving dedication to quality. Thank you, Arthur. You are the best!
My thing is I work every day 12 hours and then I come home , cook and watch your videos . 2 weeks for a new one is too long but I understand this is a lot of work and you are a one man show . Thank you
Yes, Doug McClure of The Virginian has one , his co-star Charles Bickford has not, perhaps because he was estranged from his family at the time of his death. He didn't mention his former wife or two children in his 1965 autobiography.
I don't know, Jesse. In my case, once my wife and I are gone, nobody will visit us. Our kids and grandkids just aren't interested in going to cemeteries. I sometimes question the need for a plaque, as we will be cremated and placed above ground, per my wife's wishes. As I am wont to say on occasions, "A hundred years from now, nobody's gonna know the difference."
Yes... 👍 I try to beat the host by telling us what age they were when they died. Also very curious as to who passed young and who lived a long life. If they passed young, I wait for the host to say why. If he doesn't say why, ...I pause the video and Google the deceased to find out why.
That's where I want to hang with the stars, when my time comes.... Leave it to Cali to have such spacious, beautiful and scenic cemeteries!!! What a way to go........!!!
I love your videos. They are so informative and I enjoy the history from these. Although there are so many people who forgot most of these celebrities, I think it’s amazing that their work and lives will continue to be recognized
My Uncle's favorite actor was Charles Bickford. Leo Carrillo's family has roots in California going back over 200 years. Visited this cemetery during a storm back in the 70's. We went in after we saw a tree fall from the wind while driving by. Enjoyed this tour!
Thank you for doing such a great job on this! The Woodlawn Cemetery was my back yard for 30 years. [I lived less than 800 feet from it]. I recall when I discovered Doug McClure and Ted Bessel's graves. I didn't know that so many celebrities were buried there! Barbara Billingsley was a dear friend of mine. Thanks again for this great video!
I was looking through RUclips and found your videos and I can’t stop watching them now!!! Everyday at work or home I catch myself watching and learning of the golden era history!! Keep making more!!
Thank you! A lot of research went into this. It was awesome. Some tragic events cut lives too short. I look forward to seeing you and the next stop at Hollywood Graveyard.
I would just like to say that i watch many of these and yours is hands down the best! You are very informative not only on the resting places with all of the wonderful inserts , but also the architecture and many other tidbits too! And your voice is pleasant to listen to, unlike so many others. Keep up the great work!
Barbara Billingsly always wore a necklace, usually pearl. The reason for this apparel was that she had a scar on her throat area she wanted to cover. She talked about this on a talk show many years ago. Good video
I love grave yards but being disabled I cannot get out much. This was great, especially the sped up walk. I enjoyed the names I recognized (Harvey Korman, Irene Ryan, Glenn Ford etc.) But there were too many I did not recognize. Hollywood Forever has a lot of stars.
This is a re-upload. A few errors that I couldn’t let slide slipped through the cracks in the original version. In the age of disinformation I am loathe to add to the noise, so I hope you’ll have patience if from time to time a video is re-uploaded in the name of accuracy. And besides, it gives you a good excuse to enjoy it again :) Thanks all you eagle-eyed viewers, for keeping me honest.
Ever time i see notification from you guys it makes my day. I usually don't like to talk about death. But you guys make me realize what great ppl we hade in this world. Keep up the great work.
I really enjoy seeing all the famous stars who once lived among us and now resting in the graves and talking about their lives they was once among us lived. I also like watching old movies. This show got me interested in watching old movies on youtube for free.
Glen Ford..'The big Heat'..brilliant video as usual and not in the least bit morbid. A little unreal to see all the final resting places of actors we grew up with five stars sir keep them coming.
I’ve been watching these videos since yesterday. I can tell that you do your research, very impressive. I’ve learned a lot about a lot of celebrities who’ve passed on through this channel. Great work! You’d make a great tour guide for this kind of thing..no seriously, you would!
I think it was because I watch Ask a mortician that youtube recommended your videos to me, so it was kinda great that you mentioned her! And it was also great that you showed what an eco friendly burial looks like 😊
My grandmother had one Billy Haines lamp. It was a horse's head and it was a marbled burgundy color. It's one of the strongest memories I have of her house. That thing was worth a fortune. She said she got it at a flea market visiting her oldest son in Norcal for $10.
I am astounded at how all these actors in the early 20th century died of heart attacks. Mr. Dark excellent job really I enjoy your work please keep up the good work
Arthur its ok. I didn't even notice any issues with the first one. Your so informative. Thank you once again for all your hard working bringing us your videos
You should showcase the cemeteries out in the Palm Springs area and the VA cemetery in riverside. There are many hollywood stars buried in those cemeteries.
Your videos are very calming and peaceful, and so respectful. I've learned about so many important people, not the "big stars" either. That's my fave parts the background information. It takes many people to put out a movie or tv show.
I feel that Arthur's music man, Giuseppe Vasapolli doesn't get enough propers for the magic he works in these videos. The music sets a nostalgic tone, a mood, an ambiance which works perfectly for Arthur's videos and the subject matter. Where can I buy his stuff? I go Celebrity grave hopping, myself and I would LOVE to have this music with me as I walk and pay my respects "to those who lived to entertain us". Well done, Giuseppe!
11:24. William Haines reinvented himself after L.B. Mayer fired him. He became one of L.A.'s leading interior designers. In "Feud" there is a scene where Hedda Hopper is taunting Joan Crawford mentioning to her that she was being forced to sell her signature Billy Haines furniture piece by piece because of her financial situation.
I have been told that I am a distant relative of Irene Ryan; my maternal grandfather is one of her great nephews. But this has never really been confirmed outside my family. It’s also hard to believe seeing as Papa was born in 1924, making him 22 years younger than Irene. I suppose it could technically be true, but I’ll never know at this point. Your showcase of her final resting place reminded me of that :)
I would not have known Harvey Korman if it wasn't for my grandma who let us watch recordings on VHS/DVD of the Coral Burnett Show, I just love remebering watching him and Tim Conway laughing at what was happening plus just enjoying something that all my family liked.
Have you thought of doing Angelus Rosedale Cemetery in LA? It looks a bit rundown, but I’m always intrigued by it when I drive by. I believe in it’s day it was one of few cemetery’s for people of color to be laid to rest, at a time when they could not be buried with whites.
Leo Carillo, my mother dated a man who knew him well. Both rode and when Leo's silver saddle was put up for auction, her friend got it. He was so proud of it. But as an old man, he kept it in his home in an old neighborhood of Louisville. Jerks broke into his home when he was out, and stole it. He was heartbroken, and never got over it. But I really enjoyed this tour, one of the best I've seen on the subject matter.
Should also mention that William Haines went on to become one of the great interior designers in Hollywood.
Didn’t know that, knew he was openly gay and had to quit acting, didn’t know he chose love. Thanks for this! Video is great!
I love LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 couples, always have ❤️❤️
You can find his furniture online several places.
thompulliam I probably couldn’t afford it anyway
Yes! I had heard it in another vlog! The Stars.hired him to decorate their homes! They said that he was magnificent and his work was by word of mouth! He got wealthy off of his referrals alone!

It's my COPD. I'm having hard time breathing today. It really sucks.
Thank you. Always remember Glenn Ford from Superman.
We NEED an Ask A Mortician/Hollywood Graveyard collaboration!
i agree!
No point theirs so many videos on RUclips it’s not a unique subject
Why?
With Grave Explorations!
There is a special place in heaven for comedians.
My thing is I work every day 12 hours and then I come home , cook and watch your videos . 2 weeks for a new one is too long but I understand this is a lot of work and you are a one man show . Thank you
It’s heartbreaking to see some of these amazing people left without a marker, or having their markers sunken and neglected. :(
Jesse Maddux - I so agree! And not having their names placed on them as in the case of “Audra Lindley” (Mrs Roper/Three’s Company) ....
Yes, Doug McClure of The Virginian has one , his co-star Charles Bickford has not, perhaps because he was estranged from his family at the time of his death. He didn't mention his former wife or two children in his 1965 autobiography.
@@nicfewer8393 I’m guessing some don’t want a marker. I didn’t know Charles Bickford was estranged from his family. Sad.
Jesse, the age of the grave may determine how up to date the headstones were! Probably no family to get him a proper readable stone!🙄
I don't know, Jesse. In my case, once my wife and I are gone, nobody will visit us. Our kids and grandkids just aren't interested in going to cemeteries. I sometimes question the need for a plaque, as we will be cremated and placed above ground, per my wife's wishes. I never knew about that flood in 1934. How sad and terrifying.
Irene Ryan (Granny) portrayed one of the funniest characters in TV history!
Anyone else try to add up the age of the deceased when they die?
Yes... 👍
I try to beat the host by telling us what age they were when they died. Also very curious as to who passed young and who lived a long life. If they passed young, I wait for the host to say why. If he doesn't say why, ...I pause the video and Google the deceased to find out why.
LOL! Yeah, I do.
Marie Duran constantly !
Roger miller
Alyssa Wilson YES AND THIS FOOL IS TRYING TO SAY SALLY RIDE IS 61 YEARS OLD WHEN SHE WENT IP IN THE SPACE SHUTTLE. NO WAY.
Viva William Haines, an honest and courageous man.
I don't understand why you don't have more subscribers these videos are A1 I enjoy them
People find it hard to detach their own mortality from grave tourism...it's too bad really! They are missing a lot of fun.
580 c backhoe shutte valve repair
Thank you for adding the adorable Ted Bessell. I loved him in That Girl
Paul Henreid. Oh, be still my heart. The suavest leading man in Hollywood history.
Didn't know bout the Doty twins ...sad tale. Thanks for such an interesting exploration of this cemetery.
That's where I want to hang with the stars, when my time comes.... Leave it to Cali to have such spacious, beautiful and scenic cemeteries!!! What a way to go........!!!
Excellent presentation! I've never seen anything so well detailed and informative. Keep up the great work!
I just discovered these videos a few days ago. I haven't stopped watching since. The quality and professionalism amazing. Please keep them coming!!!
Arthur, these tours are absolutely exceptional. Thank you for posting so many which highlight the rich history of those who went before us.
I love your videos. They are so informative and I enjoy the history from these. Although there are so many people who forgot most of these celebrities, I think it’s amazing that their work and lives will continue to be recognized
RIP Harvey Korman, you magnificent human. You will always be very fondly remembered.
He was hilarious in Blazing Saddles

I enjoy your videos. Tastefully and respectfully presented. Very interesting historical information. Thank you.
I love viewing these and the stories of the people gone before us.... some of the mausoleums are so beautiful.
Thank you! A lot of research went into this. It was awesome. Some tragic events cut lives too short. I look forward to seeing you and the next stop at Hollywood Graveyard.
Glenn Ford was one of my favorites!
Beautiful cemetery. And bravo to William Haines. Loved his story
Open, honest and one of the best on here. Thank you for being honest throughout.
I didn’t know most of this movie stars, and still watch the whole video like I always do.
Great videos!
I would just like to say that i watch many of these and yours is hands down the best! I would Die to be on your show !......Thanks for showing my Dear friend Vampires grave .Miss you every day Vampy !
Barbara Billingsly always wore a necklace, usually pearl. The reason for this apparel was that she had a scar on her throat area she wanted to cover. She talked about this on a talk show many years ago.
Good video
God Bless Barbara Billingsley.Leave it to Beaver.
Yes, I miss her too. I love reruns of "Leave it to Beaver".
Graveyards are usually on the property of a church. This video is of a cemetery.
Cathy Downs was stunning!
I absolutely love your videos Mr. Dark. Knowing there is someone else addicted to finding history through grave markers. Thank you so much 😊
Am dl

Ah well, nobody perfekt....
That Harvey Korman/Tim Conway skit was THE best! Mr. Korman was the best!
Jim Follkie - wasn’t he also the “Count the Money” (DeMone’) 💰 in “History of the World” ???
The mausoleums in some of the cemeteries are breath-taking.Tony
At some of the graves visited on the previous videos, I get choked up seeing some of them...😢
That Haines and Shield story is beautiful.
You know, many folks who are buried in these cemetary are forgotten, never heard of , or even marked. Thank you for highlighting everyone equally.
Ever time i see notification from you guys it makes my day. I usually don't like to talk about death. But you guys make me realize what great ppl we hade in this world. Keep up the great work.
Alright I finally got to see Harvey korman he’s my favorite it’s awesome you finally got there

AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL, THEY ARE FOREVER IMMORTALIZED, THANK YOU MR DARK , IM A BIG FAN
I loved Irene who played Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies. She was really comic at times.
Loved Harvey on the Carol Brunette show.
I’ve been watching these videos since yesterday. I can tell that you do your research, very impressive. I’ve learned a lot about a lot of celebrities who’ve passed on through this channel. Great work! You’d make a great tour guide for this kind of thing..no seriously, you would!

A masterpiece as usual. I really love the mention of natura burial
I remember the hilarious scenes with Mrs. Cleaver and Eddie Haskell on Leave it to Beaver.
Glen Ford in Fastest Gun Alive was an awesome movie.
My grandmother had one Billy Haines lamp. It was a horse's head and it was a marbled burgundy color. It's one of the strongest memories I have of her house. That thing was worth a fortune. She said she got it at a flea market visiting her oldest son in Norcal for $10.
Good for Mr William Haynes love comes first Bless them both 💟🇬🇧
Arthur ..... you should do a feature with Caitlin ..... that would be very interesting to see .
Green Man - agreed, I love her
Love the “Oh, it’s my thing!” Mine too. I never miss an episode!
Loved Harvey Korman and the skit with Tim Conway. That one was truly a classic
Re Granny: trying out for the role, Bea Benaderet saw Irene Ryan's audition and then told the producer: "THERE's your Granny!"
"Equally we all have to die, and when we do we are all equal" - John Donne
Amen.. 🙏
God bless you,Ted Bessell.Tony
I am totally hooked. Amazing respectful approach to death and celebrities. Thank you
I am astounded at how all these actors in the early 20th century died of heart attacks. Mr. Dark excellent job really I enjoy your work please keep up the good work
I absolutely love your videos, and I'm actually semi related to one of the people featured in this video, Irene Ryan is my cousin-in-law.
One of my favorite episode of Granny when she pulls a rope of hotdogs out of her medical bag.
@Keith Clark Eleanor from Green Acres
“Shall we just have a cigarette on it?” 6:58
You’d never see that in a modern movie.
Now it's this way..."Shall we just have a joint on it?"You'll see that in modern movies!
right? that cool minty breath
Arthur its ok. I didn't even notice any issues with the first one. Your so informative. Thank you once again for all your hard working bringing us your videos
I love 'Ask a mortician', Caitlin is fabulous!
Wow... the effects from the beautiful stained glass are really fabulous! Beautiful.
You should showcase the cemeteries out in the Palm Springs area and the VA cemetery in riverside. There are many hollywood stars buried in those cemeteries.
As always another awesome tour, thank you for all the hard work you put into these videos :) always fun to watch and learn about various people.

Well done, Giuseppe!
I love how Tin Conway could very rarely keep a straight face when working with Harvey Korman.
It's the other way around. Harvey could rarely keep a straight face when working with Tim. RIP to both of them now.
They both were hilarious! They always had me in tears! The whole Carol Burnett Show did! 🎉😅🎉
love them both when Harvey started not to laugh it made it even funnier
Thank you ! Your Time Your Dime ! 1 Thx !1. 2 History! Keep up the good job .
Thank you for your videos! I used to be deathly afraid of cemetery’s... you’re videos have changed my mind!! Thank you
This is my favorite cemetery you’ve visited. It’s quite breathtaking.
I had no idea there were so many westerns back in the 1960s - that was the bonding experience between my grandpa and dad back then ❤️❤️
Glenn Ford had a legendary career.Tony has spoken.

❤️❤️❤️ love your videos i’ve watched every single one 👏🏽👏🏽 can’t wait for the new one
This is a great chanel, loads of talented people forgotten in death, just like loads ignored in life
I agree with Glenn 1044. Your commentaries are respectfully, informative and beautifully well done. Keep up your one and only style of presentations.
Loved Granny. Harvey Korman. I still love watching them perform.
Dude your videos are awesome keep up the great work

Those stained glass windows at the beginning are beautiful, amazing to see them all colourful like that ❤
Have you thought of doing Angelus Rosedale Cemetery in LA? It looks a bit rundown, but I’m always intrigued by it when I drive by. I believe in it’s day it was one of few cemetery’s for people of color to be laid to rest, at a time when they could not be buried with whites.
Zachary Kilian it is sad how the roads and cemeteries are not kept up on Louisiana
Well, someone should speak with the owner of that Cemetery and find out, "Why it is run down?" Or Who is stealing the money?
R. I. P, June Cleaver and Grannie Clampett. Both amazing women!
That was another great Past Celebrities walk.
So many of them had unusually short lives.
Love your videos keep up the great work..I love your voice also..so soothing...and so very handsome...much love to you from Clarksville tennesee. ...
Great tour thank you. A little bit of everything and a little story about everyone. Superb!

Oh Noooooo!!!! Not Barbara Billingsly l didn't know she passed until l saw your video. 😢😢😢😢 She is and will always be my favorite "TV Mom"
