As much as I love when you show super famous people, I really love when you show the lesser-known people too. Especially when they're character actors, it's so nice seeing people I grew up with being remembered.
“We are all star stuff.”
Amazing quote from Sagan. Love the ending monologue as well.
Ngl I cried with the last few minutes of this video. Ending this grave tour with something deep and meaningful.
11:05 Lesbian catholic, got to love the irony that beign its far less than most theists!
13:10 WOW name your child the same as the on ejust died that wouldnt cause life long problems! i know people who replaced their dead kid by convcieving another within 2 months! Now hes never going to work out hes only the replacement for the dead one!
We are made in God's image, God made the "star stuff"

@@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307 sorry friend, not my place to convert. Have a good day friend
Growing up in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, in the 60s and 70s, the local cemeteries were a favorite hangout since they were some of the few green areas. I could take you right to Jackie Robinson’s grave, and then worked summers during high school with my uncle at Machpelah Cemetery where Houdini is buried. I guess that’s why I love these videos so much. Keep up the great work!
I grew up in Cypress Hills in the 60's. I used to ride my bike through the cemetery to get over to Glendale & Ridgewood where my grandparents lived and spent a lot of time.
Every Fall/Winter I rewatch ALL of your videos with a hot pot of tea & a smile snuggled with my favorite blanket. You are an ARTIST with your beautiful videos. I am such a fan of your work & your love for those who've gone before us keeping them "alive" beyond the grave. THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US !!! 🖤🌹🫖☕☠
I do the same thing when I finish work for the year :)
These vids are my favourite playthrough on RUclips living in the uk I have to be honest the cemetery’s in the USA are stunning and Arthur and co has done a fantastic job with the vids
Binge Watching Hollywood Graveyard like that is a great idea. I think I'll try it. 😊🫖
Excellent idea!! 🇨🇦
Here here!
I ran into Arthur at the Syracuse Airport and had a good chat with him! I'm glad he got to see more than what the city has to offer!
Lucky! Would love to meet him.
You are making a cold, windy and snowy day a whole lot warmer. Thank you Arthur and Hollywood Graveyard for another wonderful video ❤
Love seeing the graveyard
Yesss Arthur is here - drop everything. What a welcome video too - thanks Arthur x
Arthur dark would you fulfill my request by visiting the grave of John philip sousa please and you are a sweet kind guy on youtube 🎄🎄
Wow, I have dropped everything and postponed my dinner! I love HGY!
I agree! I dropped going to the store to watch!!!
Loved it!!!
All that housework can WAIT!
A new Hollywood Graveyard tour! Yay!
The ending had me in goosebumps and near tears. Beautiful. Thank you for this and all your videos. RIP William.
I’m sorry for not knowing, but who was he?
@@jimcars6468I hope Arthur can explain
@@jimcars6468 Dedicated to the memory of William Zattara, who was a good friend who assisted me with several Hollywood Graveyard videos. Carl Sagan was one of my favorites. Cosmos was/is an amazing show. I was tearing up when you showed his grave. Thanks, Arthur. 🎉
Just in time.😊
We'll remember those who we recently lost.
That ending monologue about Star stuff and the dedication to your friend. Great stuff as usual Arthur, thank you.
One person I would have suggested covering is the grave of Archibald Gracie IV.
Not only did he write his own history of the Battle of Chickamauga (a battle that his father - Archibald Gracie III - fought in as a Brigadier General in the Confederate Army), he was a survivor of the sinking of the RMS Titanic; writing one of the earliest detailed accounts of the sinking. The sinking led to a sharp decline in his health where he became one of the first Titanic survivors to die.
The best days are when I get a Hollywood Graveyard notification! ❤️🙏🏻 thanks Arthur! 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Gilbert Gottfried! Most memorable as voice actor for Iago the parrot in the Disney Aladdin films and TV series as well as the mischievous imp Mr. Myxtlk (pardon the misspelling) in the 90s Superman animated series. Dearly loved, missed and remembered. There is also a recent RUclips video of Jay Leno attempting to unsuccessfully give poor Gilbert driving lessons. Gilbert Gottfried was an extremely talented comedic genius and will be missed. Ditto for Roger C. Carmel.
You must be a millennial because he is more memorable for other real acting roles in the 70s, 80s and 90s than voice acting cartoons. 🤣🤣
@@eccentricsmithy2746you should have bet money - you would have LOST. Not a millennial. Not by a longshot. I was a kid when Thank God It's Friday was in theaters.
This is one of the few channels I give a thunder to before I even watch it.
The New York series has been my favorite since you posted it. I watch it all the time. And I’m so sorry about the loss of your friend.
Gilbert Gottfried is truly irreplaceable. A lot of people remember him as the voice of Iago, for me it was that and his guest spot on the Are You Afraid of the Dark? episode "The Tale of Station 109.1" (which was also Ryan Gosling's acting debut).
I loved seeing Scott Joplin here, too. I have a soft spot for ragtime, and he was the best.
Didn't Gilbert also voice the psycho dentist on Fairly OddParents? 🤔
@@BennyLlama39 Yep
He played Dr bender and his son Wendell. he was also in a couple of episodes of family guy as a horse and when stewie blows a dog whistle and the SpongeBob episode the hankering as Sal
Your research is outstanding!! Narration, music, presentation- brilliant. Thank you!
What a week it is when a new Hollywood Graveyard video is uploaded.
As a fan who's about to turn 75 in a couple of hours, I seem to have lived longer than perhaps 2/3rds of the folks we've visited during this (as always) superb video. Of course advances in medical science have something to do with that! (And genetics!) By the way, I was delighted to see the raptor you featured in the beginning of the video--I think it's a juvenile hawk. It is typical of juvie raptors to make those amusing head movements. The peregrine falcon in my thumbnail is Gracie, named after Gracie Allen. Her mate was, of course, named George. They nested on top of a building where I worked in downtown San Francisco. But like a typical old person, I digress...
Happy Holidays to you, Arthur!
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday from Ireland 🇮🇪🎂🎶
I turned 41 yesterday myself.
Happy birthday to a fellow Sagittarian and starkind ♐️ ✨️
I hope u had a wonderful birthday and heres a wish to many more! 💜🥫🥮

Cant wait for the next round of Viewer Specials.
Hope you come back to Forest Lawn Hollywood for the graves of Bob Barker and Matthew Perry in the future.
Here's a vid on Matthew Perry: ruclips.net/video/3cAFREr_Nqc/видео.html
The east coast cemeteries just hit different. 4 seasons make them beautiful. Love all the gorgeous foliage
Another beautiful video. And my condolences regarding William.
Hollywood Graveyard is an incredible series...if possible, keep it going!
There’ll never be a lack of new places and people to honor, I hope.
Gilbert Gottfried was part of my Childhood for long time know him in aladdin and cyberchase that i grew up on PBS Kids
Dear Arthur glad you came back to New York and unveiled more people buried here. I’m a regular visitor to Greenwood and Woodlawn Cemetery and one of the security guards there told me about Diahann Carroll being interred back in 2020. It just goes to show you that cemeteries aren’t static but are just as part of the living as they are of the dead. I just hope Cicely Tyson gets also gets a marker. I saw her last Broadway Performance The Gin Game with the GREAT James Earl Jones. That was an amazing performance seeing these two in their 80s STILL knocking it out. If I could go back in time it would be to 2016 to see them perform ONE more time. And man she could cuss!
PS sorry about your friend. This made this particular edition of HG poignant.
When was the last time anyone heard of or visited Albert & Harry von Tilzers gravesite ! You keep the memory alive of often long forgotten people!
I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend Arthur, may his soul rest in eternal peace. I’m sending prayers your way for peace and comfort. God bless. Also thank you for another wonderful tour.
@@starmnsixty1209 I’m not sure what you mean by your comment but I sincerely hope it wasn’t distasteful.
I thought my eyes were deceiving me! I'm so happy to see a brand new video!

If you ever do another episode covering the NY area, I recommend you include Herb Edelman, best known for his recurring role of Stanley “Stan” Zbornack, Dorothy’s ex-husband on the Golden Girls. He also had a recurring role on Murder, She Wrote. He is buried at Montefiore Cemetery in Queens.
Mr. Edelman was also Murray the cop in the movie version of The Odd Couple, but you're correct, younger viewers remember him best from The Golden Girls.
He is buried in california
@sharimiller3, no, Herb died in Woodland Hills at the Motion Picture Home. Herb is indeed buried in New York.
Hello Arthur
Great to see you again.
I’m from Brooklyn now living in Savannah Georgia, I used to love walking through greenwood and sipping from my flask as I saw all the amazing famous graves. Thank you for a big blast of nostalgia
Great town Savannah! My family who have passed are buried in Greenwich which is behind Bonaventure. Greenwich has its own beauty!
The history alone is phenomenal! Thank you!
I grew up watching the Aladdin movies and I remember Gilbert Goddfried's voice he played as Iago. Gilbert was a terrific actor and funny man. Thank you, Arthur!
Hollywood Forever and Forest Lawn Hollywood had a bunch of new additions lately. Looking forward to seeing those.
My condolences on the loss of your friend.
I can't stress how quickly I put away everything in my life when I get a new HG notification! Loved this episode as always
I love everything 😊about your series, from the music to your narration ❤.
Yes, Arthur, you're back!!! Thank you, you've been missed!!
Thank-you for spending the extra time highlighting Carl Sagan, a most inspirational man.
His days on Carson are memories to be cherished.😢
True R.i.p Carl Sagan
I also want to send you my condolences for your friend William - I'm so sorry for your loss :(
The grave hunter returns once again to the state of New York. We see him once or twice a month on his journey across the states to find more people who left us recently and people we missed the first time around
Woo hoo what a surprise ♥️
always a good day when a new video drops!
and a lovely tribute to your friend at the end
I absolutely love this channel. I learned so much. Thank you for doing the research.
That intro was genious!!😂😂😂😂
So glad you're back, Arthur!! Even with the "What is love" raptor!!❤❤
Never thought I’d be so interested in the dead 😂😂😂 watching from Edinburgh Scotland
I got to meet Gilbert Gottfried years ago and I got to thank him for inspiring me to be a voice actor~ Aladdin is one of my favorite movies of all time! Between Gilbert and Robin Williams had a major impact on me!
Best way to end the day, snuggled up in bed with a new video from Mr.Dark. Thanks Arthur, still the best.😂
Yes yes yes. This feels like Christmas Morning, getting a video from Hollywood Graveyard, and old school Hollywood graveyard at that. Feels like when Arthur first started.
I love your videos. Keep up the great work, Mr. Dark
I always am up for a new adventure with Arthur.
I grew listening to Gilberts voice. I owned Aladdin on vhs and I watched cyberchase, he will always be a childhood icon of mine and I will always remember the contributions he made to animation. In addition seeing Harriet Tubmans grave was a honor and emotional for me, she was our Moses indeed RIP to two Awesome legends.
I still watch the Cosmos. Carl Sagan helped me sooth my son as a baby.
Thank you 🙏😊 your content is much welcomed, it's akin to visiting forgotten familiar faces. Some may find graveyard hopping morbid, your uploads are anything but. They remind me how many talented souls pass through and touch us - like everyone, they continue into time and their own destinies. But for a time their gifts brought joy, assistance and unique contributions to many 🌻
Watching you from Trinidad and Tobago in the hot and steamy Caribbean. Can't thank you enough for transporting me to all of these amazing places! Your work is exceptional ❤
When next there's a viewer's special, there are some cemeteries that I can think of
Jack Gilford was also on a Comedy album called "You Don't Have To Be Jewish" (1964) which also starred Lou Jacobi, Betty Walker, Joe Silver, Jackie Kannon, Bob McFadden, Frank Gallop and Arlene Golonka. That CD is a HOOT! :)
Was Jack Gifford featured on the Lays Potato Chip commercial chirping the phrase, “Betca can’t eat just one”?
@@furnacefighter Lol! Yes, he was. Arlene Golonka was in “Mayberry: RFD”.
@@scottspencer4603 Happy Thanksgiving Scott, yes, my favorite riff on Andy Griffith was a SCTV Special where Merv Griffin (Rick Moranis) was substituted for Andy Griffith. John Candy was Otis the drunk, Catherine O’Hara was Aunt Bea, Joe Flarity was Barney Fife, and Eugene Levy did a hilarious and creepy impersonation of Floyd the Barber. Betca can’t watch just once.
@@furnacefighter Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. :) I haven't seen anything from SCTV. I'll see if I can find it on You Tube.
Thanks.
I’ve been watching your channel for a while now. It’s nice to see you do New York again.
Thanks for showing the lesser known actors or the ones we didn't know their names. I'd love to see an episode of just those. Sorry for the loss of your friend. Thanks for another great episode.
Made my evening❤
I had noooooo IDEA Gilbert Gottfried had passed!!!! Thanks Arthur. I appreciate your work.
Another Excellent video! Thank you for another graveyard adventure!
I live for this
Great episode! One of the best -- It's like going back in time to learn about these people and their lives. Fascinating stuff.
Always such a pleasure to view your videos. I so enjoy learning about people and their role in our world. Lovely tribute to Carl Sagan. Thank you Arthur and crew. Always done do nicely and respectfully. My condolences to you on the passing of your friend. Wishing you peace.

Thanks Arthur. Your graveyards cemeteries are always beautifully well maintained for the Stars ✨ to rest in peace ✌️ until next time. 👌👍✌️
Today has been a long, rough day. You have no idea how excited I was to know that at the end of the day, a new video was awaiting me. Thank you, Arthur ❤❤❤❤❤
Yeessssss hi Mr. Arthur and HG Family!!!! Yaaaaayyy ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your videos are technically superb. Your subject matter fascinating. And you’ve got a great voice for narrating.
Thanks Arthur. Sometimes I need to hear that I am a star😢. I don't always feel good about myself. But your special words at the end. They made me feel better. We love you Arthur 💞. Thanks for all you do. And have a Happy thanksgiving 🦃
Thank you!
Love your videos! Ironic that Joplin and Hamlisch are in the same video, for the Sting. Keep up the amazing work and incredible insights about everyone you help us remember! ❤❤ love from Nebraska!
Hollywood gravesyard WE LOVE YOU
Hope you cover Billie Lou Watts in a future episode, she was one of the very first American voice actors in Anime. She's best-known for voicing Astro Boy and Uran/Astro Girl in the 1963 English dub of the anime alongside the English voice of Kimba the White Lion in the 1960s anime. Her final voice acting role was voicing Ma Bagg in Cartoon Network's Courage the Cowardly Dog.
Yay!🤗 I am so excited to see ur tour!! ❤❤❤ My condolences on the passing of your friend.🕊
Love this ty happy holidays @everyone
Gilbert Goddfried will always be remembered as the voice of Iago and Didget
Johnny Marks and Cicely Tyson deserve headstones 🥺💔
Sagan has long been one of my true heroes. I've read every book he published. A truly great man. I lived for decades in the same town, Rahway NJ, that Carl spent his adolescent years in. Lived just a few streets away from the street that he had once lived on.
thank you for another great episode Mr Dark, i love your channel!
This was an amazing episode (they all are, of course) Much love from the sunshine state and thank you so much for making this, it's always a good day when Hollywood Graveyard uploads!
So lovely that part in Soylent Green when Edward G Robinson is watching the film while his character is dying such a fitting end to his acting career with such a lovely part
Note the movie poster says “it’s 2022” timeframe for the movie….
Washington Cemetery in Brooklyn is very crowded. A fun video would be where the mob guys are buried
Right On Arthur! What a Fun and Welcoming Tour! From the get go we were shown a Fabulous and Beautiful Gateway to enter through for what was to come, then came the surprise of a Cool looking Raptor Bird making his own Dancing Moves. Hilarious! I’m always Amazed at the collective choices of Interesting People you choose to share with us, like the Songwriters and Composers of Jazz to the Actors and Singers and Swingers of Dance! We had Famous Business Entrepreneur of Stores to one of the Circus World! We had a Incredible Artists that made his famous Black and White Caricatures of other famous People Including himself! You ended with a Fave of Mine a Man of Space Mr. Sagan reminding us we are all made of Stars and are Stars in our own right! You had to take us there and what a Image of you Jumping In that pile of Leaves with no evidence except in our own Minds! The Cemeteries were Beautiful to see and visit in this Autumnal Season of Fall! It was a Great Escape! Thanks again Arthur! You did it again! Loved it! 😉🍁🖤
That ending is a perfect example of your talent and wisdom in making your videos! You are the brightest star in our sky!!!
i really love your videos keep up the great work
Just the thing I needed today! Feel like has been forever for a normal video!
Yea! Glad to see a new video!
Carl Sagan! You read my mind. I was wondering recently if his ashes were spread at sea.
I think his ashes were buried.
