As a die hard Laker fan, it was unbelievable when I heard the rumors of Shaq coming to L.A., we knew Shaq and Penny were the dynasty. All the ballers were wearing Penny's shoes in L.A.
Take those shades off Shaq. Takes a man to look into his eyes of a person he says sorry too.
Haaa funny I wear shades all da time cuz of light but as a man if u gonna apologize u shood b looking in da eyes. I think it def genuine jus gotta take dem shades off lol
too late to be sorry
For real. Plus those shades look like he’s fishing with lasers in the future.
@@mefirst2576 Haaa ya think? Lol
I respect and appreciate Shaq and his sincerity either way.
I LOVED them together. At that time, Orlando was my team, (even though I am a Miami Native). I was so happy when Shaq finally landed in Miami, and Penny actually had a stint with Miami later too. Those were my best years as a fan.
you cant apologize wearing sunglasses bro
A lot of people don’t peep that, the eyes tell it all.
I totally agree. I was thinking the same thing. 💯💯💯🎯🎯🎯
You gotta look the man eye to eye when apologizing or saying sorry
That's the first thing I noticed. Totally agree
Ego
Shaq would definitely had no issue with Penny as Penny was really mature when he came into the league and he can pass and loved passing it to Shaq.
Penny was a pass first player. He will find you before he looked for his own. Kobe was more of an assassin and it took more balancing getting Shaq and Kobe to co-exist
I am proud of you, Shaw, from man to man. You have really grown as a human being and are inspirational. It takes a lot for us to deal with our egos'.
The common denominator was Shaq walking away first....
I'd walk away too if they gave Alonzo Mourning a $100+ million contract (Heat) and Orlando him $90 million. 🤣
@@doggiepineda6444
Yeah and went to California where they taxed the hell out of him. That $90M in Florida is like $75M while that $100M in Cali is $40-50M
The front office couldn't wrap their minds around giving him that much money. I wish they paid him I was angry for years at the front office
That’s exactly what I was thinking
He literally called out his flaws and what he messed up on. Stop judging and look in the mirror clown.
Penny definitely came into the league as a better player than Kobe BUT Kobe was 17 on a team full of veterans that hated on him and held him back , a coach that didn’t let him play
Exactly Penny was 4 years older than Kobe when he came in -
4 years is a ton of time
Even if they didn’t hate on Kobe he was 4 years younger. Age wise he became him faster.
Paussseeeee ayoooo I CAME IN HIM YOU CAME IN HIM 🤣🤣🤣
It was a great time to be a Magic fan. They had great personalities, were fun to watch, and were poised to take the crown from basketball royalty.
This was a real big man move, i meet shaqu in singapore when my team won the reebok three on three competition i was the only black african born kid we had lunch with it was blessed. Great message here.
What a duo you guys made at that time i watched basketball regulerly.
Now i dont.
Thanks to both for all the art you both did spread in all those matches specially when you did played together.
Max respect from a fan from Portugal 🇵🇹
Penny Hardaway will always be my favorite N.B.A player. He from my city and he is the head coach for my favorite schools. I'm very proud of Shaq for having this Discussion and I truly Enjoy this video. I have so much respect how they did this interview. 💯 👍🏽
One slight adjustment…it wasn’t egos it was ONE EGO.
The common denominator in all of Shaq’s reflections is his ego. Dude was gassed up so much by his inner circle that he never became the leader he needed to be to match his ability. Shaq knows his attitude kept him from being the GOAT! Big props to Shaq for the realness! ✊🏾
Yes.
Shaq! I'm a grown ass man sitting at a damn laptop getting choked up, sir! 😂😂 On more than one occasion you have made apologies to/cleared the air with past teammates and I don't think people are understanding how EPIC that is. Couple that with showing up in stores and blessing people randomly....you are TEACHING some valuable life lessons. Kudos to you, my brotha. (Yes I addressed this to Shaq knowing he'll never read it, lol. However, I have been clearing the air with ex girlfriends...lol)
Shaq“ you came in him and I came in him” crazy 😂😂
PAUSE😂
I would love to watch that
I thought I was the only one who heard that 😂
Typical 5 yr old observation..
@@originaldelta 7
If only Shaq and Penny stayed together for a few more years!! They would have definitely won 🏆 after a couple of years together! The Magic organisation messed up not paying Shaq! I saw that team play live in 95, they were so amazing to watch! 👊🏽👍🏽🙏🏽
“Only a few guys who came in him, I came in him, and you came in him.” WHAT? HUH!
😂
Penny and shaq would have gotten at least 4 .... they had some really good OTHERS too Scott, Anderson, Grant.... man they would have been low key unstoppable
👏 to the big fella, I remember hearing Mike Tyson saying basically the same thing once he grew up. It's dope seeing men becoming men
I’m from Memphis and watched Penny in Highschool and College! I was at the games! To see him in person was mind blowing! Penny did whatever he wanted to with the ball!
Shaq man you really been the same since you came on the scene. You respect your mother and your upbringing is reflected in your life. Your mom did good bruh
Penny was one of them ones man one of my favorite players if you know ball you kno this a pure hoooper ‼️
Penny and little Penny ❤❤❤ I remember looking forward to them playing every Saturday when I was a kid. And I adored Penny Hardaway his game was so sick!
Penny hardaway HOF HANDS DOWN PERIOD! He came in the league Ready!
"I came in him, you came in him" is Wild lol
That was a big pause and no diddy moment 😂lol. I thought I was the only one who noticed. I had to rewind lol.

Dwight Howard out there feeling jealous as fuck of some dude out there.
Bro tbh bein frm Cali n growing up a Warriors fan n watching 90’s basketball bt my faves were Jordan..Penny n Shaq..that duo was a juggernaut n bein wiser and more intuned with the game they Deff woulda made a dynasty with tha Magic..loved playin NBA Jam with Orlando 🫡🙏🏼👌🏼🔥🔥🔥
“Came in him and I came in him”🔥🔥🔥
Dude I was like 😮😮😮😮😮
Oh, Yall Zesty zesty!!
Major pause
PAUSE! 😅
🤣🤣🤣 was just gonna say MEGA PAUSEEE
I love Shaq accountability
Better late than never, but he did wrong for a lot of years
@@Daniel_Capitalabsolutely correct! People get caught up in his jokes and playfulness. But he’s a narcissist and always has a problem with ANYONE he feels is getting more shine than himself when he’s present.
man fuck shaq dudes ego always got the best of him
It's called maturity
@@robert3700 right. It's like a woman who is humbled once she hits the wall. The accountability don't hit the same
I’m glad you got over it. It’s still keeps me up at night thinking about you, Chris and Stanley, all being 100% and playing that following season GEAUX TIGERS!💜🐯🏀
As a teenager during those shaq and penny days it was amazing to watch! The world belonged to them! Shaq staying in Orlando is definitely one of the greatest what ifs in NBA history.
I came in him, he came in him...pause 😂😂
Major pause . Red flag. Foul on the play
That’s that new generation s**t we know when the conversation is on the funny s**t just like back in the day guys use to say ima bust yo azz it meant 👊🏾 fight or playing sports etc but now yea y’all say pause. My coworker pausing everything 😂😂like man knock it off
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@caliraisedlatothabay5185 exactly
Penny + Shaq = Magic! This was my favorite Shaq! Shaq is on my Mt Rushmore.
Penny had the point gaurd mentality. Fit Shaqs game like a glove. Perfect duo. They beat MJ in a playoff series.
They beat #45 MJ who had been out of the game for 2 years. Things went right back to normal the next season.
@@MeCanik79True. But back then MJ was MJ. If you beat him to the supermarket you woulda got props.
I remember watching the movie Blue Chips with these 2 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Penny: "If I leave, can my mom keep her house?"
Nolte: "Better be at practice on Monday." 😂😂😂😂
Most dominant center "since Wilt Chamberlain", Shaq used to say. I see that some of that humility has left the building.
"... you came in HIM." (what was said) 😂😂
vs
"... you came in AS HIM." (what should've been said)
Love the show!!
You came in:Him.
It's so funny because if they were on 'Inside the NBA' and Charles said this as a flub, Shaq would be cracking up and crumbling and throwing his paper🤣🤣🤣🤣
Damn, hits hard... One love from Serbia 💋
shoutout Serbia 🇷🇸 ❤
@@applesaucelarry813 thank u brotha, 4 real it was so special generation ❤️
Aye yoo shaq pause telling the world y’all came in him is diabolical 😂😂😂😂
Penny Hardaway is 💯 no matter what the subject is, a great human being. Regardless of who you are or what you do if he sees you, he will always speak or give you a friendly nod👊
If Nick Anderson didn’t miss 4 straight FREE throws I firmly believe they would of won the series
I was rooting for the Magic, but they don't, the 95 Rockets were getting better and better each series, they face elimination in the first 2 rounds against the Jazz and Suns and came back and won, and beat the team with with best record that season the Spurs. The Magic had no business losing game 1 in the fashion they did, but even if Magic won game 1, it wouldn't have affected the Rockets.
@@RichGannon12Rockets would have won regardless because Hakeem was also him
Nope. Don't forget that Orlando got swept in the series. Even if they won a game, they would have lost the series. Plus, Shaq was young and simply couldn't handle Hakeem. He made Shaq look like a fool with that spin move.
I love this side of Shaq. Big man. Big heart.
My bad shaq that’s all good but “I came in him, you came in him” was WILD ⏸️⏸️ EEYYYYOOOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 #IIWII
PaUsE!!
🤣🤣🤣
Notice Shaq played with the best ever guards on the '90s and '00s. He couldn't ever reach the Finals without Penny, Wade, and Kobe R I.P.
😢
Your point?
Shaq and Penny were such a badass duo. I don't think I have ever seen a duo fit so well together on the court besides Stockton and Malone.
Malcolm vs. Martin, Pac vs. Biggie, they always pit great black men vs one another.
1:29 is the craziest pause ever! Shaq outta pocket!
Ayooo😂

BTW - I still remember Nick Anderson missing those 4 free throws at the end of the 1st game against the Rockets. What a bummer!

If you think about it, one could say.. Shaq actually argued with Kobe because he wasn't Penny. He was accustomed to a player who was great in his own right without being selfish. 🤯
Great story.........We appreciate all of you and your journey
Penny was a better Tracy McGrady, he is a hall of fame player.
prime vs prime, Penny owns Tmac.
