All of the comments criticizing Bill Russell show no compassion. Look at his feet and the shoes he has on. He is most likely in pain. He gave his all winning 13 championships. I am very sure that it took a toll on his body. He is fortunate to have lived as long as he has. Most of his peers are deceased. I have great respect for Bill Russell as one of the greatest basketball players as well as one of the greatest men alive who spoke out during the Civil Rights Movement of the 50' & 60's when he could have taken his money and ran. He deserves to be honored not scorned.

Big man with a Hall Of Fame heart. One of the best HoF speeches I've ever heard. He covered everything important without taking the credit! That's unconditional love for you. Its a rare act to follow! But he tries living it everyday. I hope his children carry on this legacy. They're beautiful.
