What I love about Shaq is he doesn’t just cut a cheque or pick up a tab and leave…. He is invested and will build relationships and help create a sense of community through his time and his words and not strictly because of his fame and his $$$. Many of these celebrities cut cheques and make donations to charities and foundations for publicity, but in reality it is mostly tax write offs and they are choosing for their money to go to instead of the government. A guy that buys a lady her groceries, a used car, or a laptop is doing it 100% to give back and maybe for a little bit of self gratification that he is able to do this and it really doesn’t effect his financial situation. 100 percent respect for Shaq!

I'm a working grandma and need a place to live. I gave up everything but what I could fit into my car to move across this country to help with the granbabies. My son in law cannot be bothered to shelter me until I get on my feet. My days are filled with working, babysitting grand babies and finding a safe parking lot to sleep in my car at night.
As nice as it is to know that he'll be remembered as one of the most dominant big men in the NBA, I think it's even better that he'll be remembered as a man who had a giant heart, cared, brought positivity, changed people's lives for the better and made the world a better place.
