How To Change Stihl Hedge Cutter Blades | Tutorial/Walk Through

Replacing a hedge trimmer blade isn't as bad as it sounds and is actually pretty simple. The first thing that you have to do is make sure that the hedge trimmer that you have can't be sharpened. This is actually a very common mistake that people make and they think that they have to go out and get a replacement for their blade when in reality they can just sharpen it themselves or have it done. If your blade needs to be replaced then you can check for the model number and order spares from a dealer or online. In our case we have 5 missing blades that have broken off.

Nice, only thing I would add is, wd 40 is not a lubricant, just a water displacer, you’d be better off using chain spray or remington oil.

It's around 5nm. They don't need to be very tight. Just a pinch

Yes - they are usually sold as a complete assembly, for part numbers I use this website - www.gardenhirespares.co.uk/menu-parts-diagrams/stihl-parts-breakdowns/stihl-hedegtrimmer-parts-diagrams.html Click though the area you need and it will show you the number
