One of the first projects I wanted to make with my #longmill was an inlay. I was amazed at how other #cnc users were able to produce some of the most beautiful and intricate inlays I had ever seen! The whole process seemed so complicated! So, I watched and learned as much as I could from others who have seemingly conquered this incredibly fascinating technique!

Great video. I'm still new to CNC woodworking but was a machinist for years. If you are going to be that aggressive with your 1/8 endmill (cutting deeper than the tool width) as a rougher you might want to check out IDC Woodcraft's new 1/8 roughing bit the "Badger." I have the 1/4 "Beast" and hot knife through butter is the only way to describe how it removes material.

The “Beast” is definitely a BEAST! The “Hog” is equally awesome, just a shorter version of the Beast.
