Starting to watch a first video from you, i thought that's silly... but gosh, i actually adore this. The detail and love put into this and the very very pleasing finished pieces... genius... Much love man! 🪵🤎
Another inspirational board Nik! Always love seeing your boards! I recently started using an XTOOL laser with other woodworking projects too, It is a nice tool to have for sure!
Same. The monotony of the same 7 notes over and over was annoying. HOWEVER, the outcome made it completely worth watching anyway. Such a cool process! Beautiful work.
@ 00:50 I consider myself to be an amateur woodworker at best, but I'm still able to make things I'm happy with and are somewhat complex (like my Battlefield Chessboards and unique Hook and Ring Toss games). So when a family member requested a Tic-Tac-Toe board, I thought "a grid and some letters, easy peasy"... nope. It took three attempts to make the grid and I'm still not confident that it'll hold up to the test of time. If it were one of my first projects, I would not have proceeded with my woodworking hobby haha.
Do your Inlays always fit? Do you ever have some that break or maybe pieces of the finer work that break? If so what do you do? Some of those are so detailed and look very thin. But just beautiful work
Yo! @Broinwood good job man! We all viewers love this content RIGHT :) Can you maybe do a tutorial for inlay please? many of us would like to know how to do this :(
Great work as always. Thanks for letting the community know which bits to use. Can I ask what you're using for your start and flat depths for the pocket and inlay ? My seams are always tight, no gaps. But, on large inlays I get a hollow sound knocking on it with a knuckle after the glue has set. Currently, I'm using (in inches) 0 start depth and .23 flat for the pocket and 0.2 for the start and 0.07 for the flat depth for the inlay. This should result in 0.07 clearance between the two pieces, a glue pocket of 0.03 and a pocket with a depth of 0.2in. Thanks !
Thank you! You’ll need to adjust your inlay numbers and reduce the glue gap if you want to learn how I do it. Here’s the link broinwood.com/products/how-i-am-finding-inlay-parameters
Illusion. My CNC does the same thing. You can see them but not feel them. Rotation of the bit causes it. The cut left is perfectly flat and smooth. At least with mine...
1. It amazes me that anyone would consider cutting in these things, they're just too nice. 2. Could you do really deep inlay, then slice layers of the completed design to stick onto blanks? That could seriously improve the production rate
Another phenomenal piece of Art! I hope I am not over stepping a boundary but do you use a local wood supplier or get it from somewhere else? I have wanting to get some yellow heart and that grain pattern on the locust wood is crazy! Thanks for sharing your skills!
Most of the wood I am buying here bonesteelmillandmolding.com/ are awesome people and have awesome wood quality. For some exotic wood, just buy it from the internet or in a local store, Woodcraft.
As I prepare to hopefully get my own cnc next year, where do you source your wood from? That’s one big thing I need to learn, is where to get the different species of wood. Keith
So cool, loved watching this process. Very clever concept. One ask….please don’t use that music again…it was very annoying and distracted from the video.
How many rpm motor does your cnc machine use? I am using 1800 rpm motor and the working table is only 350 mm * 450 mm which I designed myself. I really like your designs and want to learn a lot from you. Wish you good health
It’s a very good question. They make pretty good machines, but they have a lot of competitors. I’d recommend doing more in-depth research, especially comparing options in the same price range. To answer your question, I’d lean more toward yes than no.
Looks realy nice!!! But it's "only" CNC... there is no carving... like a sculpture made in a 3D-Printer... automatism.... nothing handmade... Time of real craftmanship passed by... 😢
Soon, you will be able to walk into an arts and crafts store, pick out a design, select the materials used, and watch it be made. The era of true craftsmen and craftsmanship is over. Does that mean humans will tend to be less materialistic... or more?

Great video, the music makes me feel I’m on hold during a call to a credit card company
@@petehaidinyak9084 Thank you. Sound is a part of a better life. Wish you happiness every day.
thank you very much, i will learn more to learn
The videos and the work keep getting better. 100K here we come!
It looks like the triggerfish is at a slight angle, so it has perspective and movement. I really like that small detail.
Dude, I literally said “YES” when I saw you dropped this video!
haha thank you!!!
What amazing workmanship and attention to detail!!
Not sure a machine and computer programming can be classed as workmanship.
Good to see another upload, I have missed seeing these.
I'm so glad you liked the video!

OMG What a beautiful piece of art. I am working to learn making inlays and you are my teacher, thank you for sharing this experience with us
thanks! I'm glad you enjoy the videos!🙏
This is absolutely stunning
Another beautiful piece of Art…A master at work. Well done!!
Thank you!
thx you so much my friend, i am so proud of you. i send the whole familiy and all friends the link. you makes me happy 😘😘😘
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your order!🙏 I love this project!😊
Amazingly beautiful art, ty!
Excellent work. Thank you for sharing.😃
Another inspirational board Nik! Always love seeing your boards! I recently started using an XTOOL laser with other woodworking projects too, It is a nice tool to have for sure!
Thank you! The XTOOL is definitely a great addition-glad you’re enjoying it too!
Yet another great looking board. - Chris
Thanks Chris, I appreciate it!
Pretty work. Congratulation to You.
This is just awesome art. 🍀
Nothing more, nothing less...
Thank you!🙏
Great video, keep them coming!
I appreciate your support! 🙏
Enjoyed watching the video, but the music was so repetitive I had to mute it.
Same. The monotony of the same 7 notes over and over was annoying. HOWEVER, the outcome made it completely worth watching anyway. Such a cool process! Beautiful work.
If the boards and inlays themselves were not top notch enough, adding the laser engraved stand with complimentary theme is next level!
Thanks!!! 😁
Great work! Are you doing the super deep single plunge for the bits to cut male part? I often see it required for inlays in the RUclips instructions.

Another awesome board, you’re very talented both in designing and creating the vectors, but that music loop is really annoying……
Looks awesome brother....
Thanks!!!🙏
wow that’s incredible 😻
Do your Inlays always fit? Do you ever have some that break or maybe pieces of the finer work that break? If so what do you do? Some of those are so detailed and look very thin. But just beautiful work
I have never, ever had any issues with end grain inlay, and yes, my inlays always fit perfectly.
OMG Just Perfect!
Thank you!
Definitely nice work 👍
Thank you so much! 🙏😊
I just love your work and your video. What is a good CNC machine for a hobbyist to start with ?
Great work
Thank you so much 😀
Amazing attention to detail, that client will be super happy!
thanks @drew, i am very happy with it. best wishes from germany

Might be an optical illusion, or perhaps some camera settings, but it looks the tram is out. Beautiful work as always.
Illusion. My CNC does the same thing. You can see them but not feel them. Rotation of the bit causes it. The cut left is perfectly flat and smooth. At least with mine...
that is correct!👍
When you're designing the vectors, is there a minimum gap between the vectors that you look for to make sure the plug can fit?
I am trying to keep it at least 1 mm.
Very nice 🎉
Thank you!
1. It amazes me that anyone would consider cutting in these things, they're just too nice. 2. Could you do really deep inlay, then slice layers of the completed design to stick onto blanks? That could seriously improve the production rate
It is an interesting idea, but in this case, the inlay will not be detailed.
incredible as usual! Thanks for sharing.
Mind telling me what bit that is you're using for the juice groove?
I can’t remember the exact brand I have, but it’s a 4-flute, 3/4” diameter, 3/4” shank ball nose bit.
your music drives me crazy, but the work is wonderful.
Another phenomenal piece of Art! I hope I am not over stepping a boundary but do you use a local wood supplier or get it from somewhere else? I have wanting to get some yellow heart and that grain pattern on the locust wood is crazy! Thanks for sharing your skills!

Does it make sense to measure the tool height when the detail zero is not specified?
In my case, it does not make sense.
@@Broinwood how do you set detail zero? "by eye"
As I prepare to hopefully get my own cnc next year, where do you source your wood from? That’s one big thing I need to learn, is where to get the different species of wood.

So cool, loved watching this process. Very clever concept. One ask….please don’t use that music again…it was very annoying and distracted from the video.
Cool video. Music drove me nuts however.
Hi Nik,
Do you think StepCraft M700 would give me the sufficient precision for this kind of job?
Great video!
It should, however, be better to test its precision. It might need to be trimmed additionally.
You mention a 12.4 v bit, but the link is to a 6.2 v bit. Do you use both or one over the other?
The side angle is 6.2. The total is 12.4.

Love your videos but kill the music
A great piece of art, but please rather silence than that annoying music loop.
thank you!
👍

Turn off that music.great work but
I love your videos but that music gets old. I couldn’t finish watching. It was driving me nuts.
That is a piece of art, not a cutting board.
Soon, you will be able to walk into an arts and crafts store, pick out a design, select the materials used, and watch it be made. The era of true craftsmen and craftsmanship is over. Does that mean humans will tend to be less materialistic... or more?
Ai fica fácil, a Router faz tudo, a pessoa faz o mínimo 😬😬😬
You are absolutely right.
