So this is entirely a personal taste thing. But. I don’t understand why you would make so many beautiful gears and then make them non functional, and cover them up. As far as quality and craftsmanship, I enjoy your vids. I just literally have a visual thing for kenetic art/moving gears.
The same way you call it hand crafted when you use anything and your hands and creativity. If you use a sewing machine to make clothing, it's made by hand, if you use knitting needles to knit a sweater, it's made by hand and both of them use a tool. Don't be rude!
