Nice! I have a vid on installing the trd skid plate as well. It saved me on my last off road trip. You are smart to undercoat the whole truck. When I lived in New Hampshire that was pretty common. Yeah now that my truck is lifted I should get a car shield
No. It’s an after market mod. Several companies make these TRD Pro Heritage grills. This one seems to be good np-motorsports.com/products/areyourshop-car-oem-front-bumper-hood-grill-matte-black-for-toyota-tacoma-trd-pro-2016-2019-2017-plastic-car-styling-accessories?variant=31917827686488¤cy=USD&
The first thing you should've got is a long bed, if your gonna spend the money on a short bed you should got a 4runner ,about the same same length plus you wouldn't need a canopy.
Nah, I don’t use the tonneau cover (canopy) much. Just when traveling. I am done with SUVs. This works well for me for now. You’re right though, long beds are nice.
Nope. I have a short bed and use it everyday for work, around my farm and as a hunting truck. Can't put a deer or an Elk in the back of a Runner and if one concrete bag busts open you'll wish you had a truck. Plus the longer bed is not much bigger, Id rather have the shorter wheelbase but still have a truck.
@@manwithnoname734very good points. I had an SUV before this and bags of concrete, wood chips, etc. did explode in the back and a bitch to clean up. The open bed you just need a broom if anything
As a long bed owner. I love it but my brother has a short bed and it works perfectly for what we do around the farm. He hauls camping gear, guns his dirt bike. And plenty of room for the feed for the cows and pigs and all the coolers fit perfectly when we do hay in the e summer. Not to mention it carries him and his wife’s groceries under the soft tonneau in the winter. And lastly his mud boots and tools can go right in after a long day working on the equipment or building a or whatever. Pretty sad for you to just assume a short bed truck has no place for anyone. With due respect I almost figure you probably don’t even use your long bed but once a year to haul something. Am I wrong sir?!
@@DanBrandoyou aren’t wrong by any means. My short bed does what I need it do to haul what I need for the house. I am not doing any construction and primarily used it for off-roading and don’t want the longer wheel base. If I wanted a long bed, probably would have gotten a Chevy or Ford, but Tacomas kill it on the trails. Some of us do not only use our trucks to haul and what I do need to haul, seems to do just fine.
First "mods" ive done to my 23 trd sport, was install the trd skid plate, i undercoated the whole truck and im ordering a cat shield soon

Truck looks great, I did a lot of the same mods to mine :) Subbed
Thanks so much! Saving up for tires now for next upgrade. The All Seasons are just plain annoying even doing light off roading
You need the TRd Skid Plate!
Yeah definitely!
Took your advice…..finally put the skid plate on and made a short install vid
I just bought a trd license plate cover and a keychain so far. First major mod will probably be tint for the front door windows.
Sounds awesome! Yeah front door tints look really good!
Looking good, did a bunch of the same mods, ya. roughcountry sucks, there bed mate doesn't fit and had to trim a bunch off
Oh that sucks you had to cut it. The GeeVull one I put the link to fits perfectly
Is the new grill made by Toyota?
