I just bought a 2018 Lincoln Navigator L Reserve for 53k with 43k miles. My thing was why would I buy a Ford Expedition Max with less features for the same price?? And good luck finding a Suburban or Yukon XL with under 50k miles for the same price let alone have all the features I have….but hey it’s your money. Go buy what you want.
No comparison. I own a 2022 reserve label Navigator and I rented the Expedition to drive to VA beach in. The only things I’ll give the Expedition did way better on gas mileage but the actual ride was way smoother and comfortable in the navigator. I totally understand the price difference and anyone who can afford it would agree
Got my 2016 Ford Expedition Limited 2 years ago with certified 7 year warranty. Had 30k miles, paid 35k. Came with the extra sound deadening and glass on all front windows. Yah, it is quiet. But very glad I got it when I did and not a newer one that costs a lot more. Good timing on my part. I hope others picked up some great deals when they could. Much of these new vehicles seem designed to pad the pockets of the C levels and offer very little on the value side of the equation.
My lincoln Navigator black label is coming within this week or by next week and it's going to be my birthday present from my parents ,this is my dream suv since childhood can't wait for it to arrive
You can also get 440 hp in the Expedition if you get Stealth performance or the timberline package. Ford said the different hp number comes from different tuning.
@@jillciminillocan you please review the LED headlights for night time driving just curious what the difference compared to two between the reflector LED headlights and the adaptive pixel LED headlights on the navigator
Do I find the price difference worth it? No. Do I think people who are able to afford a $100k+ vehicle care that something similar is $50k less? Also no.
My dad had a push button automatic transmission in his 1958 Plymouth which probably cost $2,500 new. Lincoln Navigator push button tranny > $100,000. Not for me. I think car companies are driving the cost of vehicles to the point where you’re going to have to start renting a vehicle (from the car company) and not buying it.
It's really not a fair comparison when comparing a XLT Max Expedition with a Black Label Navigator. I would have preferred to see a Platinum MAX compared to a Black Label of a Platinum to a Reserve. That would have been a bit more of a comparison.
It’s memory set. So once you make your changes, every time you start the car it goes back to that setting. You can also save up to 3/4 different settings for you, your partner and a few others that may be driving the car. All that said to say it’s totally worth it!
Lincoln Navigator is my dream
Luxury SUV
I would pay the difference tbh. Lincoln is going to be my retirement vehicle after 30 years.

agreed i have owned both.
I drove the Linclon, the ride quality was not good, akin to driving a pickup truck. The Lexus feels much more solid.

But that isn’t standard like the Navigator.
Tim,
Could you please find out from Lincoln when they will put a hybrid engine in the Navigator . Thank you
Sorry, they won't tell me about future plans until they announced those plans officially.
If the choice was between an entry level Tahoe/Yukon and the high level Esky, the answer is yes. I'm expecting the cost diff to be about 50k as well.
Well navigated on your expedition comparison.
I see what you did there ...
Tim looks like Deacon off the Bold and Beautiful to me. I like both of these Navigator and Expedition but take the Escalade over two of them.
Compare the Platinum expedition to the Lincoln navigator Black label that's a better comparison
Not available.
Yeah. We tried that, but we couldn't get our hands on the Platinum. That's still about a $25k difference ...
@@jillciminillo So....... similar to the difference in price between a Rav4 and an NX? Why not do that comparison Jill?
@@cwqrpportable could be an interesting one 🤔

Ford needs to spin off a new brand for direct to consumer. Maybe even resurrect Mercury to address the issues.
I'd take the navi but it needs an interior update first
I don't understand why you didn't use a Expedition limited for the comparison?that would be a better comparison.
The expedition definitely seems a little louder. Are y'all using the same audio equipment?
Mostly, yes.
The more pertinent question............................ how much does it cost to fill up? That’s the one “option” no one thinks to ask about.
A lot.
I would also add that the interior material is way better. Lincoln uses more metals for their buttons. Ford use all cheap plastic
Yeah but you forget you are in a XLT which is second from the bottom on trims so of course it would seem that way.

My f150 has acoustic glass…. But not the expedition?
50k more is a nope
If it can park by it self then it would be worthy
The piano black already looks terrible in the Lincoln
I think Jill needs a ladder.
Good thing I'm athletic! 😂

Jill: I have 30 way adjustable seats that have great thigh bolstering and are extremely adjustable and comfortable.
Tim: I have seats.
Yeah. That sounds about right. 😂
Even if I was in the market for that kind of beast… nah. Lexus LX600 and be done.
30 seat adjustments? That would drive me crazy! 🤣
But once you get it set, it's AWESOME.
I have one and I appreciate the ability to do it. I have sciatica nerve damage. So a 5-6hr road trip is more manageable now

Yall shouldve compared to the kr, limited or platinum. The xlt is gonna feel cheap, but the kr and platinum feel like luxury trucks.
You missed the explanation?
@@Pickuptrucktalk I missed that part...but you can't find the top trims of these trucks anywhere.
@@MouthPeaceCorbett right. That’s why we had to use an XLT.
@@Pickuptrucktalk I was able to drive a kr (I personally wanted a platinum but none around), and they feel rele good on the road.
💪
Both are full of toys bells and whistles but lacks a v8
then you can go get your self a cadi or a wagoner have fun with MPGS😂
@@CarboyJtidk…. I don’t think it’s that much difference once the math is done on paper… I had the expedition and it drank as much as my Yukon…
