Bought at 2018 Lincoln Navigator L with 44k miles for 50k 3 months ago for our family car and I’m still impressed every time I get in it. There’s a minor electrical probably where the side mirrors click back and forth when you use the memory seat function but other than that the car is perfect. It’s nice getting the, “what does he do for a living”, look for a change 😂 nah but seriously, the level of power and class the Navigator has over the Expedition is incomparable. If you find a good deal on used or have the money to buy a new one, go Navigator every time!
I just recently purchased a 2022 Ford Expedition Limited Max direct from the factory for around ~70k and though the Navigator has a lot of pretty trim features and a bit more horsepower, I would choose the Expedition over the Navigator. I personally can not see spending 20-40k more just for a prettier trim and this is coming from someone who can afford either one. I am very happy with my Ford Expedition, its style, performance, and comfort are worth it. If you can buy a Navigator it's only because you can.....not because it's a better vehicle.
Define “better” vehicle. An Expedition in fleet trim with vinyl seats and a rubber floor and an AM/FM radio is just as good a “vehicle” as your Expedition or a Navigator. But it’s not as nice a vehicle. And in this regard, even the top trim Expedition is not as nice a vehicle as a Navigator. Plus I feel the Navigator is a much better looking vehicle both inside and out.
I would not call getting a Ford at $90k a value by any means. The people that can afford either of these vehicles is going to pick the Navigator more often than not. Its expensive but at least you get what you pay for.
If you actually understand car manufacturing and engineering optimization you will find that the Navigator is the value/budget option for it's price point and the Expedition, as you see me coming is the average priced "luxury" option. With it's sub-par materials, the Expedition will end up costing you roughly $12,000-18,000 dollars more than it's rsvpwithin it's first 127,000 km.. those are just simple unrebukabke facts. You can easily Google these stats..
People always try to downplay the navigator bc it shares a platform in theory with the Expedition. I have never seen you ask why get Escalade over a Denali or even Denali to Tahoe.
Expedition has slightly higher towing limits, mostly because the extra weight of luxury tech on the navigator. Safety wise, that pushes me towards the Expedition. However, Ford only offers the landscape screen on the Navigator...Expedition gets the machE tablet which I'm not a fan of.
The Limited would be the perfect choice if you could option BlueCruise independently. On a side note, the 12" screen on the Expedition is much better. Great size and the perfect ability to use buttons for simple, quick tasks.
I absolutely love my 2020 Aviator Black Label miss the height of my old Expedition. Love the massage seats! Need them whichever one I choose, im torn between the 2
I have a 2021 Navigator Reserve and yes a Limited or Platinum expedition is a wonderful truck but when you drive a truck daily the difference in the seats over a long commute not a quick drive is unbelievable I get out my Navigator with zero fatigue after a 56 one way commute 6 days a week. The Revel sound system is way better then the B&O and I can’t lie it feels good when me and my wife go out and the truck is always valet right up front bc the status of the navigator. Also love the maintenance the dealership experience between the ford and Lincoln dealer is different it all adds up to the luxury feeling.
For me, it would be a regular, black Expedition Limited with the Stealth Performance package and the second row bench. While all black does not work for everything, but on something this large, all black keeps things looking clean and simple. In my opinion, the second row bench offers a bit more flexibility, and I would run with the third row folded offering more than plenty of cargo room, with the third row being completely bonus accommodation when I absolutely need it. Sure, the max/L version would offer the same thing with even more cargo room if ran with the third row folded, but the exterior proportions just seem awkwardly packaged. While this was not part of this video, but this also goes for the respective Chevrolet/GMC/Cadillac offerings in this class.
I agree with you on the second row I don’t understand what this obsession with captains chairs with some obnoxious Console in the second row or cupholders in the floor like everyone else, etc. the second row with the seats is the way to go. The middle seat will always fold down to reveal cupholders, and the comfort level compared to the captain seats is basically the same thing again I don’t understand the obsession with manufacturers forcing you to get captains chairs in the top trim level.
Thank you for the comparison Ben. Is it cold enough for you? I feel for you. Both vehicles are quite nice actually. They both have nice looks as well. I would take the Lincoln, but Ford is still doing what it has done for years. There needs to be more differences between Fords and Lincolns. There was a reason Mercury existed. These two are not different than the way it was in the 1970's when you had the Ford Thunderbird and the Lincoln Mark IV. It is the same thing again with suv's. Thank you again Ben.
It's crazy the touchscreen in the Expedition is bigger than the Navigator. I actually like the 12" touchscreen in the lesser Expeditions than that 15".
I'm with you. The 15" screen may offer a cleaner aesthetic that many like, but having redundant, analog, hard buttons actually engages you more. It may look more "cluttered", but I like having assured, tactile feedback when making certain commands.
I’m interested in the ride. Does the Lincoln ride any better than the ford?? Our ford has a stiff ride. Much like a truck does the Lincoln have a softer ride ??
Both cars are great! And the prices are excellent! But I’d take the navigator 🎉 What I really find interesting, is that a plastic and ugly BMW X7 has an MSRP of 111k, the GLS is even more expensive! But the Lincoln and ford are miles better ❤
Honestly I just ordered a 2024 platinum expedition because the interior is nicer and I get the Carmelo seats and the B&O unleashed which sound way better. Also, it’s only about 5k more than a fully loaded limited non stealth performance. If you go limited stealth performance it cost more than the platinum. Also platinum has blue cruise
The Navigator's interior wins by a mile.

I prefer the look of the Navigator over the Expidation. Both are very nice either way but the cleaner elegant look on the Navigator takes it for me.

Expedition is a better value in my opinion. The Navigator is nice overall though.
nice to see the raptor v8 or v6 in the lincoln

Navigator all day, the weather out there is crazy!!😅
I choose the Navigator for both interior comfort and exterior design.
Are you going to do the Navigator vs the Escalade??

Great video ben as always i also wondering if u can do a review on the 2023 Ford Expedition STX.

I love watching these videos while I make breakfast lol
The chime on the navigator is more different than the other lincoln navigator models
i like the exidesion becuse you can get leather seats and tvs for a lower cost still
Please doore of these luxury counterparts to the reg car
At 90k, it doesn't make sense to by the ford over the lincoln. Getting a lower trim ford at 60k would make more sense.
Why not compare the version of the Expedition (Stealth Performance) that has the exact same 3.5
Im trying to decide which center screen is more hideous ?
I’m interested in the ride. Does the Lincoln ride any better than the ford?? Our ford has a stiff ride. Much like a truck does the Lincoln have a softer ride ??
The Navigator is the nicer truck but it’s also 20k more so it should be nicer.

I like both!! But I gonna perfur Lincoln Ben.
Ford has done a really great with both the navigator and the expedition but the navigator is more luxurious
I bought both because I couldn't decide.
I would always go with the gator
navigator vs aviator?
108k!?!??! Before tax title and reg!?
Hell im goin with a $2k 80s suburban...
I think Ford is more popular than Lincoln
I highly doubt that Henry Ford is more popular than Abraham Lincoln.
Why is BH continually thrashing Jeep for their upper trim prices when Ford has a friggin $90k Expedition? lol
Ford is expensive too
@@BenHardyCars fair enough
Limited over platinum and max. Navigator wins overall, and I'd go used over new.
Max refers to the length, not trim
@demetriossyrpes1992 Yes, a limited max over platinum max.
Diesel Ben!
I like the Lincoln
Damn that beard is hot on you!
I we take the 2023 Ford expedition king ranch
💪💪💪

Navigator L
Expedition look like explorer on steroids, but more ugly. Navigator way better.
