Great review. I had been considering this very Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum, but that Navigator looks great, and for living in the high altitude hilly mountains its twin turbo might have some advantages over the naturally aspirated Escalade. I do wish the Navigator had the Escalade's night vision feature, which is also excellent when it is very foggy out, and of course, to see Big Foot better. Just saying. Lastly, do you know what the minimum road clearance is on the Navigator? I really like the adjustable air suspension of the Escalade, giving an extra inch or two depending on what you option. Though I did learn that the Cadillac's adjustable air suspension is really just for slower speeds because apparently when you get up towards high way speeds it automatically drops back down, good perhaps for fuel mileage a tad, but on snow stormy trips as in ski country I'd rather have the extra road clearance remain even at higher speeds. Oh well. Both look great though, maybe I'd give the exterior look nod to the Caddy, and the interior look nod to the Navi. Thumbs up as always to another great review guys.

Love this father and son combo. "Can you frighten them" dad asks about speaker talk to the the back rows for the kids, (knowing full well his son probably can't). It's so illustrative of parenting (changes/evolution?) that son probably can't and the dad reminds him (in his own way) that it might be helpful to have a voice that gets their attention - once in a while. My father would have said the same thing to me, and I would have answered as the Truck King did "of course I can" knowing full well I often can't. Fathers and sons, and the next gen of fathers with their sons. There isn't a true handbook on parenting, and kids don't realize they're parents are doing things for the first time and often don't know what they're doing - most of the time! Great reviews of the vehicles - appreciate the fine effort Truck King(s)!

You didn't comment on this feature of the Navi but it comes with the speed, suggested speed and all the destination instructions when you are using GPS. Eyes always on the road ....paramount. Add in the lane change detection with its vibrating wheel reminder , the blind spot detectors, the upgraded emergency breaking when driving in cruise control and you have a very safe ride. Spending $15,000 grand more for the Cady is a waste of money.😜

I love the exterior of the escalade but the interior of the navigator is on another level, except for the fact it doesn't have that rear view mirror camera, nor does it have night vision. The speaker system on the Cadillac does have more speakers but the navigators sound system is just as good. God these suv's have me indecisive. Their both so good.
imo, the escalade is for those who want a bigger road presence and wanna show off a bit more.
on the other hand the navigator is much much better in terms of comfort, but doesn't have that same presence on the road.

I pick up my Navigator this Saturday, and to say my anticipation is high would be an understatement. Reserve 1 Model 4x4 black on black with the luxury and illumination package. I did consider getting both the Navigator or Escalade, but ultimately decided to purchase a Lincoln. Certain features are better on certain vehicles, but Chevy and GM are really trying to screw over their customers by allowing the dealerships to charge well over the sticker prices, and the more expensive package that you order the more they overcharge you. They are a bunch of crooks.

    • @wildbluelaker9695

Big time overcharge on MSRP in Phoenix area. $5-10 or $20k over, no discussion. Lincoln goes by MSRP. The No dickering. But they will get you on your trade in and make it up THERE. Reduces your taxes in the new Lincoln so it kind of becomes a split, slightly in their favor. We had a 2018 we bought in 20, and are picking up our 2023 this week. Deal was done in an hour. Scottsdale Boutique sales office is the PLACE to buy a new Lincoln. Comfortable seats, less stress on back of legs due to fine adjustments. Dial in how tight you want it to handle!!! Sporty? Softer. Ice? Snow? It’s yours. Want it to park itself? So easy - brake, let go, it directs the auto into place. Want it to back your boat into the water? Push the button - boom, straight back in. Massage seats tilt hips back and forth so reduces back and hip fatigue. Hands down. No pressure. No gimmicks. Quiet luxury and Ms Avery pulls the best espresso drinks in the Scottsdale Promenade Sanderson Lincoln Promenade showroom. Skip the coffee shop before you peruse the SUVs. Call before u go and ask what cars they have inside, and in their garage. Luxury shopping at no extra cost. Sit and ask questions in comfort. Are there issues sometimes, yes. Anytime you have this much electronics…something might need fixing. Black label service is still decent, Mercedes and Infiniti might do slightly better in Phoenix. But Lincoln picks up and delivers. Waiting area for fast oil changes is great. Personal attention. The only other SUV we considered this time was a loaded Yukon - it’s catching up fast to this level and has an interior similar to The Navigator - it’s supplemented with lithium batteries so will save some gas on trips. We decided to save money now and buy luxury we know and trust. Sequoia is sneaking up and a good option but rear seats fail to lower reducing the carload area space. Handles nicely as Toyota quality steering reins true. Navigator for us. Best quality for dollar. Road worthy trips with friends with rear center console and best in class guest seating fit for owners who allow guests to ride shotgun! Girlfriend trips? Navigator wins. Golf buddies and 4 sets of clubs? Nav or Escalade.

The L version of the Navigator has 36³ of cargo space. The Reserve is the mid trim version. I drive a 2023 Navigator L Black Label which is their top of the line trim.
I also drive a 2023 Escalade and do like the conversation enhancement function.

For me, the choice of these vehicles would be if 7 adults had to travel with their luggage (say executives from a company, each with their own piece of luggage). These trucks just can't be beaten, specially the longer versions. Comfort and space is a must in those circumstances. I would chose the Licoln or even a Yukon over the Cadillac for cost reasons if it were a business decision. You get the same comfort at a lower price. If I didn't have to travel long trips and I used them for getting the family around town or short trips, I think a european option is better. Better quality ride, safer, less gas consumption and less suitcases. My two cents.

I was on the fence for months between these two SUVs until I drove them. I was leaning toward the cadillac until I drove them. The Cadillac definitely handled better but the Lincoln constantly reminds you that you're in a top luxury competitive Vehicle. It feels and looks expensive. That feeling faded very quick in the Cadillac. I love driving my Navigator and honestly I enjoy not seeing thousands of trucks that look just like mine. Cadillac is definitely more popular and here in Cali they're as common a Camry or Corolla.

It's a bit wider, and overall just feels like a more solid vehicle, very heavy duty with the Cadillac ride and ellegance. If we went by MSRP New...the Escalade is about 20% more than the Lincoln. That should speak to this topic. Even the Yukon Denali packages are overall more comfortable and larger. That's an owner of both vehicles, same year...best analysis.
