I’m gonna go against popular opinion here and go with a QX80, with the Coulis Red available interior color. I think Infiniti did a great job. Looks extremely classy. It’s a step in the right direction which Nissan and Infiniti desperately need💯👌
As a Car Guy, nothing can beat the LS engine platform. And no turbos or small displacement engine could ever replace a V8. Even the Nissan 5.6 V8 was legendary in its own right.
I drive an older QX56 for work and while it rides like a 3/4 ton truck and the interior reminds me of an old Chrysler, it’s still going strong after 230k rough miles. So I’d put the reliability on both as really good. The new Infinity seems a bit nicer though..

That Infiniti is sick. And just wait 1-2 years and get it for 50% off. The GMC is way more popular and hold its value. I’m looking to get a deal though. So infiniti for me.

Not true. It's out of boost whenever coasting. But most people can't keep their foot out of the throttle, so they never see the mpg benefits. I can get over 20 mpg in my Ecoboost easily, but the quick spool is too much fun. TFL raced all the engines. Good job guys, nice comparison video! I think the v8 will be missed in Nissan Patrol twins. The engine options alone is enough to keep me only looking GM triplets V8s , diesels . I agree with Kase the GMC is the better looking of these two. I do like certain features in the infinity interior, cool box consol is one that I really like.
This engine architecture has been in the GTR since 2007 so I think its pretty well sorted at this point. Id rather have a 450hp/516tq TTV6 than either GM V8, especially the 5.3L. You could convince me to go 3.0 Duramax though. I have a coolbox in my LX570 and it is awesome.
@@Jay-me7gw For me it is more that I just prefer a V8 over a V6 not that the V6 is or isn't reliable. I first had cool boxes in my 200 Land Cruisers and loved them, I did have one LX570 also had one and I currently have one in my V8 Land Rover Defender. I switched to Land Rover Defender when Toyota canceled their V8 Land Cruisers and LX570s. I just don't want a gas v6 in a large full-size vehicle, or even a mid-size like my current Defender, pretty much if I can find what I am looking for still offered with a V8, that will likely continue to sway my buying decisions as long as some manufacture is still offering a V8.
@@jdfleetguy28 I had a 3.5 Ecoboost F150 for 10 years and now have the LX570. I towed over 22000 miles with my Ecoboost in Utah and the surrounding states and have towed the same trailer around 5000 miles with the LX. I miss the Ecoboost. It was sooooo strong. The 5.7 gets the job done but the Ecoboost just did it with no drama or effort. If I could afford an LX600 with the TTV6 I’d be super happy. Maybe in a few years
Not all V6’s are the same. I had a 2009 Nissan XTerra with the 4.0 V6, bought it new and sold it 14 years later with 155K Miles, zero problems but it always felt rough, unbalanced especially over 4k RPM. Rented a ‘22 TTV6 Tundra and it felt so smooth compared to the nissan VQ40. The Tundra could rev higher with less noise and vibration but still not an inline 6.
QX80 is superior to the GM product the gmc has dynamic fuel management cylinder shut off which shorten lifespan of engines and 10spd transmission having reliability issues.
Yeah, I agree that active, fuel, and management problems. Follow GMC products, especially after overnight updates, leaving a lot of vehicles, and sent back to the dealer. TLC guys aren't even talking about. They're a class action lawsuit, being issued to remedy the situation. Those issues count when you're choosing a vehicle like this. Especially for this amount of money.
Potentially useful 😂. Great video and chemistry between you two. I would go Yukon everyday but the prices have gone up tremendously followed by high depreciation I would assume. Also I would expect better MPG nowadays, at least in the low 20’s - maybe duramax is the way to go.
The Yukon Denali for me, it is more utility in which the "U" in SUV stands for and the supercriuse autonomous driving seals the deal over the Infiniti QX80.
I always appreciate the large boxy look of the yukons and Escalades but they look basic while the QX80 turns heads. It's Wow what is that vs oh that's a Yukon/Escalade.
Twin turbo v6 aren’t more efficient than n/a v8 because once u feel the boost you’re gonna want to be on it almost all the time, car manufacturers should give a v8 choice, heck make a 4L v8 with optional turbo.
9:24 if you want any GM cars to throw you back put the car in 2WD and don’t brake torque as it does not really help. Trample the gas pedal to the max and see the difference.
When most owners that tow, even a little bit, will likely just take the cover plate off and toss it in their garage somewhere, lol. Luckily my 2012 Armada doesn't have the cover plate, but kind of annoying that even the 2025's don't have a combination 7 and 4 pin connector. Its another (albeit small) expense the owner has to make in order to tow a smaller trailer.
The newest generation of GMC Yukon is the best looking truck ever produced. AFM, DOD, and 8-speed transmissions are terrible. If you get the 6.2 with a 10-speed, tear down the engine get rid of those lifters and build it correctly it will literally be one of the best longest lasting most powerful vehicles you'll ever have. But who the heck wants to tear a engine down right out of the gate that cost 80 to 100k. Some claim if you do very religious oil changes that the engines hold up but when it comes to the 8th speed they're just trash regardless
A suburban 2500 with the 6.6 and full float rear axles would be a logical choice. Once above the gvwr threshold they do not need all the cafe epa stuff and can actually be reliable.
I hate how everyone sugarcoats the gm twins all the time but they don’t realize they’re pretty much all the same bone underneath , gm has been having lifter issues with their 5.3 v8 and 6.2 v8 and theft is up for them a lot here in tx they’ll get stolen a lot , also reliability with gm is not that great , Infiniti to me is wayy more luxurious than that Denali and the presence it has as well , gmc has truck looks , also a lot of gm products still have too much plastic in their interiors . My pick would be qx80 over Escalade or Yukon .

ASK THE QUESTION: GMC/Chevy - why do you skimp out on the second row? No ventilated seats, no center console. This is why I am looking at the competition.
Just goes to show you how dumb people are when it comes to looks over value & reliability & resale value in 5 yrs. I'm a diehard GM guy with Chevy, 2x Pontiacs and a Caddy under my belt with Toyota & Honda currently but 3 daughters have Subaru's, but that's when cars were affordable, just not the MPG's.

If you're spending this amount of money, you might as well go FULL BORE and get a Cadillac Escalade OR a Lincoln Navigator and make sure you get them in their LONG BODY TRIM modes that have the extra passenger room (i.e. 7 passengers). To me, the Yukon and QX80 feel like they were made for wealthy/well-off ranchers and contractors who STILL want to have that cowboy/rancher interior. For me? I want TRUE interior refinement and that means spending the extra bucks on a PROPER long-cabin 'Slade or Navigator where I get the 32 speaker surround sound system and super-fancy seat massagers for not only the driver but also the rear passengers too! It's gonna be turned into a business expense anyways, so I might as well go full banana and spend a few more dineros on THE REAL THING! Andre always does well with being unbiased but this new guy seemed like a bit of a Nissan apologist in the beginning. I really don’t think the second row being fully electric is that big of a deal for buyers, well evidently not. Most people aren’t folding all of the seats down just to raise them right back up again, and the seats in the Yukon will work the same exact way for much longer. *gm* has spent a lot of money researching the target buyer in this segment over the years. They know what’s important and there’s good reason why their trucks hold their values so well.

I can only hope that the new ones are even half as reliable as the K2500s from the early 2000's. My 2004 K2500 with the 8.1 was a very long lived truck.
@@stonepa The rust ate your 04??? That’s my problem atm but I’m the 4th owner of this truck and luckily the first 2 owners seemed to care about it with undercoating so the frame isn’t trashed but on the day the engine lets go it’s getting a frame off restoration and converted to a Duramax with new body panels and a nice paint job and I’ll have a brand new suburban for less money than a new Corolla 😂😂😂
They didn't mention the biometric cooling, the internal camera system, the speaker talk system where you can take a call while others still listen to music, the infiniti is way better imo. I test drove it and I was impressed.
I think this is my new favorite review duo. Like Batman and Robin!
Have to wait for the updated Yukon denali and yes 0 to 60 matters big time especially for that kind of money and test them out I know the 6.2 fell the toast test while towing half it's capacity try out the 6.2 in a suv take the armada as well 😎
Excellent review guys.. thanks
I love both brands, but i probably
lean more to the gm brands for the towing, especially the 3.0 Duramax
Awesome vehicles you guys are great. Happy Friday to all.
Definitely the infinity
The only other large SUV I’d consider besides the Americans are the Armada/ QX80 twins given how awesome the last gen was
Good job guys, nice comparison video!
110K+ taxes and fees OTD. Totally unhinged.
We need zero to 60 between the infiniti denali, expedition and navigator, and lexus
Yukon Denali coz it still has front foglights on the bumper.
Bigger is heavier which is more fuel thirsty. Even the size and weight of the motor itself is a factor when it comes to fuel consumption.
Interesting comparison. Let’s revisit this when TFL gets their hands on a 2025 GMC
I prefer the Yukon ultimate over the flashy Escalade, except for the front seats which are uncomfortable in the Yukon
BTW they changed the seats for the 2025 Yukon it's much more soft and comfy!
@@jasonperry7970 Pretty sure they make a 3500 Suburban already but only sell it to the government as armored vehicles.
@@jasonperry7970 Good Call 🤙😎
I hate how everyone sugarcoats the gm twins all the time but they don’t realize they’re pretty much all the same bone underneath , gm has been having lifter issues with their 5.3 v8 and 6.2 v8 and theft is up for them a lot here in tx they’ll get stolen a lot , also reliability with gm is not that great , Infiniti to me is wayy more luxurious than that Denali and the presence it has as well , gmc has truck looks , also a lot of gm products still have too much plastic in their interiors . My pick would be qx80 over Escalade or Yukon .
Kase should get a gmc or Tahoe. He looks good in them. Well done guys. Kase delivers his co ceo look of “oh really “. And “watch this” I cried laughing. I love it. Andre knew it was going to be bad Oh no 🤦♂️ 2:56
I don't have to think about it, I chose the yukon
The 2025 went back to a column shifter. They needed the space on the dash for the new infotainment screen.
The Infiniti is really nice and I think they did great but the math ain’t mathing when it comes to that price.
That diesel option is an extra $6000 (plus tax) … what efficiency lol.
Yeah, not exactly fair to compare a 2024 denali against the infinity...... The 2025 gmc has alot of upgrades......
ASK THE QUESTION: GMC/Chevy - why do you skimp out on the second row? No ventilated seats, no center console. This is why I am looking at the competition.
Driving the QX80 is like driving a luxury car but driving the Yukon Denali is like driving a plane 👌🏼
definitely Infiniti
Let's make a bet on which one ends up in the shop first? lol
My money is on GMC first
I’m a huge Infiniti/ Nissan fan, but the interior on the Denali is 🫦…
the infiniti is far better in every way
@@DaleWilly Infinity vs. Denali: 100-0
Insulation on the Yukon is way better then the infinity... I was thinking like wow
All of the bots have joined in the last four hours the heck going on with RUclips
Anyone who says bots should be kicked in the balls! If you have any ......🤡
After owning a 2018 Suburban, I will never buy another GM product. One of the worst vehicles i've ever owned, and I own a Hyundai as well.
Has GM improved the comfort of the seats in the 2025? Are the seats better in the Infinity?
I just took possession of a 2025 QX80 Autograph. Yes the seats are very much improved, especially over the last gen QX80
BTW they changed the seats for the 2025 Yukon it's much more soft and comfy!
Remember everyone the infinity is a brand new vehicle going against a previous model vehicle. Let's what happens when the new Yukon Denali comes out.
90% of the comments or bots look at the photos and all they talk about is art absolutely insane
Anyone who says bots should be kicked in the balls!
@@sgbradley or maybe people can just buy what they want to with their own money. Who goes out and buys something because they think it's ugly🤔 stop being so ignorant son
@@atg1338Oh yeah they're buying it...bank owns it then they're on the next episode of repos lol.
@@crisikingful You are a sad lil boy
Is that a dent on the left upper fender/hood of that Infinity??
Does the Yukon Denali take premium fuel like the Infiniti?
The 2025 Yukon is the one to get even tho the 2024 is nice..
Should have done the Escalade which is closer in price then these two were. Also Andre start your own channel it will be better for you
Or...you could buy an InSinkErator Badger 5, 1/2 hp garbage disposal, and just throw your cash down it. And, btw, have y'all noticed that, with each passing year, SUVs get closer to the proportions and aerodynamic efficiency of stagecoaches?
GMC Yukon all day long!
I wouldn't even consider the Infiniti if I was in the market.
(i.e. the Super-Size 3-row ultra-Lux American SUVs aka the 'Slade or Navigator-L!)

For this money, better everything be electric! They're not Civics.
@@Michael-YYZ you’re acting like the Yukon is a $150,000 SUV without heated seats. You’re being overly dramatic and it’s probably because you’re used to Civics.
@@G-Rated You wish. 😆
29:18 there's a button as well on the side of the seat!
GMC Yukon all day
Those transmission selector buttons suck and definitely makes the GMC a no buy for me
If Infiniti had an extended wheel base, that would be my choice.
I have the Yukon. It’s been in the shop way too many times….. idk about the Infiniti
Why don’t you all compare the 2025 GMC to the QX80 that makes more since ?
The Infinity loses, before the test started. Luxury, is spelled with a V and an 8. It's not great, unless it's got an V8.
I’m the biggest V8 fan, but guys come on when you drive a heavy vehicle like this you need that low rpm torque specially when the car is loaded and you are going uphill, the V8 is going to have a hard time with the modern era cars weighing more than ever.
I prefer infiniti after replacing the V6TT with V8
Should've waited til you could compare it to the 2025 escalade this is not a fair comparison and not even the same class of truck infinity is nissans luxury brand and cadillac is GMs luxury brand
There’s a reason gm SUVs been #1 since 2009 or so …
thats a lie 😂😂😂 gm hasnt been good since 2002
@@mattnorman5241 Escalade is the #1 luxury full size suv / Tahoe is the #1 full size suv OVER THIS NISSAN 😂🤣 but ok

Obviously Infiniti is way better not in how it looks, but in all aspects.
The infiniti is just gorgeous! The gmc looks like the cheaper Chevy cousin
