    Uh, 1.8 trillion is quite impressive for Australia, given there are not many people, its GDP per capita is higher than US so we're living better off.

      In Australia we have a 100% chance of being killed. I do not currently know of any living Australians born in the 19th century.

    Way too often I meet people, who are completely clueless about a few important numbers of this world. So I made a short video to fix that.
    EDIT: I don't hate Australia, I was just joking around, give me a break. 2) I'm always referring to Australia the continent, not the country ("Australia" and "Oceania" are both legitimate terms when talking about the continent, though they comprise slightly different land masses)

      People bow all the time in Korea (and Japan, China, etc.). The more senior/old/important the person, the deeper you bow. It's like their version of a handshake (only classier and more hygienic). It's called showing respect, and we could do with a bit more of it in the West these days. ;)

    One thing a lot of people don't really know about Australia is we all live on the coastline of Australia because it's very dangerous and hard to live in the desert (which majority of Australia is just a dessert).
    So we can't just live on the middle of the country where it's over 50℃ everyday.
    I get that we don't have a big population but it's better that way, we can't even support a country with 50 million, we actually kind of struggling and we only have 24 million as a whole country.
    My point is we might have huge land but majority of it isn't safe to live.

    You can compare GDP and power but purchasing power is much different. In Netherlands you have about 4-5 times the money of Croatian but about 2 times the purchasing power.

    • @DataLog
      @DataLog 7 лет назад

      Well this tells you how much power does your money have in your country. It should be counted in while trying to determine who is the "best" XD. I will make an example with big countries USA and Russia. Russian military defense budget is about $70 billion. Usa was 600 now it will be 800 billion. And Russia is still on the level and in many technologies a few orders of magnitude ahead (like rocket technology and non nuclear explosive devices for example). So Russia spends about 1/10 of the USA military budget. Why? Because you can buy a lot more in Russia for the exactly the same money (this is also good for the economy because foreigners want to buy from you and you can export your inflation, that's why all the gold after crisis ends up in "poor" countries). Also a smaller example is let's say that you need 15-20million dollars a year for maintaining laboratory in USA, you will need 2-3million in Croatia for the exact same thing.
