    I actually bought this camera a couple months ago. I wanted to get back into photography and Fujifilm just caught my attention. (Still also have my Canon DSLR)
    I love the XT30ii! Perfect for me and just want I wanted/needed. Light, compact, aesthetically pleasing….currently have the 18-55mm kit lens but eyeing my first prime purchase being the 23mm f2 🙃

    I completely agree with you. I did a lot of research before I got mine and it’s perfect for me. Small, light, ergonomic, reasonably priced, stylish and very fun to use. Especially as a travel and street photography companion 👍🏻

    This is the exact combo that I got when I came into the fuji system. The only difference is I got the original xt30 when it first came out. It is still my main camera for portraits and landscapes. The 35mm f2 is still my favorite lens too.

    Helpful video, Jay. This is affordable and compact. The colors and film simulations are amazing on Fujifilm. I agree, once going with the larger battery on the X-S20, I doubt I would go back to smaller battery. 😊

      It is a great camera I must admit though I wouldn’t recommend it for a beginner

    I´ve got the X-T30ii about 4 months ago as my first proper camera and really enjoy every second with it. Paired with the 18-55 kit lens for general use, the XC50-230 for Motorsport events and now the TTArtisan AF56mm. Especially the sice is the biggest joy for me as i pobably wouldn´t bring a bigger camera everywhere i go.

    One of my favorite cameras, and I've never used the MK2. However, on the X-T30 MK1 I shot a music video on it, with 87 million views on it lol. YT: Jhené Aiko "None Of Your Concern" -all on the XT30MK1 + 18-55 kit lens. I can vouch for the X-T30 for sure.

    I'd recommend the XT1 for a beginner. Great image & build quality and if it is too big an alternative is the XT20. XE line is a bit too small for me as I have big hands. If you want a hybrid camera XS10 or XS-20, maybe XH1

  • @dereksmith41
    @dereksmith41 Месяц назад

    I had the XT20, which was the backup camera for my XT3. The XT20 is a similar size as the XT30ii, I’ve since replaced the XT20 with the XS20 which I’m really enjoying. As a starter camera the XT30ii is an excellent recommendation.

    I own this very combo and the biggest drawback is lack of ibis

    I choose X-H1 because - it's cheap, has IBIS, is incredible in low light and this camera gives me all I need now and in the future. The size is weight is only one reason to think but I came from Nikon DSLR and size is not a big deal for me.

    @Jay_Ducker What about the new XT50? What are your thoughts on that against the XT30 ii and XS20 as a travel camera?

    • @Jay_Ducker
      @Jay_Ducker  Месяц назад +2

      Both good choices but the point I’m making in this video is if you’re a beginner wanting to start out and for three price the XT30ii could be your best bet

      I have recently come back to photography and my research would point me now to Fuji (for sure) and the new X-T50.
      I know it is more money and yet it has ALL the new features from Fuji and in that way makes it more future proof than the X-T30ii. It still has a couple of drawbacks but I believe it is worth it.
      Great videos! Thanks!!

    Hi Jay, which camera and lense was used for the talking head section in your bedroom (from timestamp 5:00)? For the outdoor walk you used the Pocket 3 I guess

    Hey Jay, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, currently I'm looking for more works, do you love to have a logo for your channel's branding to have a memorable graphic based monogram logo to help your audience recognise and follow your channel easier? I would love to design a photography themed logo inspired by your direction for you! Let me know if you interested to make it happen! 🙂

    In my opinion fuji should have just made the xt40 instead of the xt50. The old sensor. Ibis. Maybe even give it WR. New processor. Priced at around 1100. The xt30 just seems outdated...

    • @SubhashishPradhan
      @SubhashishPradhan Месяц назад +2

      True, something like a cross between xs20 and xt50 - that compact lightweight body of xt50 or xt30, 26mp sensor, x processor 5, ibis of xs20.

    • @leonthesleepy
      @leonthesleepy Месяц назад

      Agreed. The xt50 is just priced in a weird spot, i would much rather have the xt40 at a more budget friendly price.

      Fuji build cameras for everyone, not for a single person. They probably don’t care what you want.

      I bought the XS20, as a step up from the XT20. For me IBIS, better battery, larger grip, improved AF, and flip screen make the XS20 a winner.

  • @titlecade

    X-T50 imo or X-S20. Although I wish the XT50 had a flip out screen.

    no ibis is a deal breaker. id say x-s10/x-s20/xt4 are much better choices

    • @vladastojanovic4776
      @vladastojanovic4776 Месяц назад +2

      And their ibis is unusable for video, so might as well not have it take up space and weight in camera :P
      Seriously , why do people need ibis ?
      It's not like any1 is doing smartphone/actioncam level of ibis, until they do, you can't really use ibis.
      If it is for photos, you don't need ibis since you need to get rid of motion blur anyway.
      If you need it for landscape or architecture, for that you have time to set the camera up on a tripod or even find a place on ground to set it up.
      I guess if you are doing telephoto manual focus photography it could be useful...

    Don’t choose beyond the XT-3 or Xpro -3. The autofocus on the new cameras is very disapointng.

  • @r423sdex
    @r423sdex Месяц назад

    Fuji keeps improving their cameras, and the photos get worse. It’s down to the lack of vision.
