Good video. I watched a couple videos on this vs the m1 Macbook pro 14 (decided to go for the 14) but you do bring up good points about price point. Other reviewers do say you can just upgrade it, then the upgrade is so expensive, but I don't think they realize that it's not necessarily everyone's desire to go past a certain price point.
Very solid video. I was curious because one of my friends said their version doesn't heat up almost at all while working unlike their older intel version.

I feel like the value proposition of the M2 MBA is a hard sell, considering you can get nearly the same value for much cheaper, around $850 USD, by opting for a refurbished 2020 M1 MBA, this isn't to say the M2 is bad, just that compromising quality to save money is already on the table with the base M2 so why not save even more money by getting the M1, which is still a very capable machine, on top of not having the reduced storage speed issue
Economist would call this "Opportunity costs". The value or benefit of the next best alternative that is given up when choosing from two or more options.
Its one year later and the mba m2 is on amazon for $849 …..should i buy it? Also looking at a 2 in 1 lenovo
When I wrote that comment I was on the verge of buying a new macbook, ultimately I decided to not get one after discovering other issues with them
You say you're deciding between the M2 MBA and a Lenovo 2 in 1? considering one of those is running mac OS and the other is running Windows, I think the software you intend to use should be the deciding factor, not everything for mac OS is on Windows and vice versa
If your use case is something simple that both of those machines can easily do, like web browsing, and editing a document here and there, then I think you should consider a cheaper $400 ~ $600 laptop.
That 15” MacBook air m2 is only $849 right now im so rempted….the lenovo im looking at is 16gb 512 Its only for light use surfing web paying bills watching videos Etcthe lenovo is $549 i cant decide but im so used to touch screens now too@@elmergardner

I wont upgrade the ssd.. i recommend upgrading the ram to 16gb for fast transfer speeds and future proofing

Apple should be ashamed of themselves for putting out a product with these base specs. 16/512 is the very least you should get in 2023…for $1200!
This notebook is basically too expensive. You’re better off getting the 14” MacBook Pro at a discounted price now. You can’t upgrade the MacBook Air without it getting too close in price to the Mac Book Pro. It’s a nice machine but the specs aren’t good enough for $1,199. The M1 MacBook Air is still the best value at $999 or less.
I just got the m1 air for $799 but now I’m trading it in for the 14 inch lol
I’ve got a good deal on the MacBook Air m2 through my uni plus I have sold my 2015 MacBook Pro. Worked out around £580 total. It was a no brainer to go for this. All i do is excel word and mails for me is more than adequate.
If that is the case in most products, just get the higher end models of every Apple product and you're good to go I guess.

Great video but what’s wrong with your voice? Why you do that erghhh noise while speaking? I really enjoy the quality of your video and great microphone but that erghhh voice is just cutting my ears
Seems like more people in todays weird society when they talk their voice sounds nice and then it has that crackle sound at the end. Its weird.
Good video, but you really need to get your nasal issue fixed. It sounded like you were recording with a runny nose.
