I blame premier for the crash tbh, when I used to use it it would crash all the time on my PC with a ryzen 5900 and 3080, I use divinci now on my macbook air 15 with 16 gigs of ram and it has never crashed on me once
Thanks for the video! This is exactly what I was looking for. By the way maybe you should get into multicam editing for your unboxing video’s. Could be a time saver! Thanks again!!!
Thanks for the video! Why don't you use the auto sync for audio? It's amazing. I highly recommend it! 😉 Choose one audio clip and one video clip, right button, audio sync (I prefer to set hot key Shift+S), do one by one. It safe tons of time 😊
If 512 gb and 16 ram are ideal then the extra for the base 14 seems like it’s worth it when you can find them for as little as $1600.00 . A sign that Apple overpriced the M2 is that you can now get the base version for $1050 which is what it should have originally cost.
I think it's so funny that this is still a thing. I was already editing videos on my 11" MacBook Air in 2015. Obviously it wasn't suited for anything close to professional work (although I did also use it for coding a lot), but for a beginner, it was enough. The M1/M2 MacBook Air models are SO incredibly fast compared to that 2015 model. In my experience and opinion, the M1 is fantastic even if you're getting into video editing (and it's a much better value than the M2 which is way more expensive).
So as a hobbyist and a beginner myself, I have a MacBook Pro 2020 i5, its not unified memory and its not ssd, would a Mac air M2 be an upgrade for me in terms of performance? if I get the 16GB unified memory? Plus its SSD. I don't do lots of editing every week but I want to be able to do 4k stuff with my go pros and do some photo edits on Lightroom and photoshop from my Nikon Z6. Go with the 8GB RAM m2 Air if you don't plan on heavy multitasking or if you don't care about heavy swap memory usage that could render your Macbook air into a lightweight brick in about a couple of years.
16GB of RAM is a good balance for light multitasking and 24GB RAM is ideal for heavier multitasking usage (at which point I would consider buying the MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro chip instead).
I've owned all 3 variants above to test them out and found heavy memory pressure with the lower RAM variants, which is detrimental to the lifespan of the device.
