Absolutely brilliant … only wish I’d followed your method, Angie … I couldn’t find your inks in the UK) and the ones I bought didn’t have complete hypodermics, just a needle to push onto the top of each bottle (no safeguards such as screwing them in …). Holding 125 ml bottles upside and squeezing them was scary but all went well to the last bit of cyan - I relaxed a little and gave the bottle a final squeeze and WHOOSH! All over the surrounds and my brand new printer - Aggghhhh! You’re a life saver. I’ve had this printer sitting in my cart for weeks but haven’t pulled the trigger. Only thing I hate with sublimation is I will be running a bunch of black shirts, and the fact sublimation mugs are so pricey.
Angie, this tip helps tremendously. With pliers, my husband removed the tip of the ink containers. We then poured the ink in an unused plastic side cup (throw away). Now the syringes can easily suck in the ink with very few bubbles. It's so much faster than the way you demonstrated on this video. When you're done, pour remaining ink back in the original container and the original lid is still available for storing remaining ink. So easy. I've used my printer and it all works well.

Now my everyday printer is ready for the garbage can and your tutorial is AMAZING. I Love how you explain everything. Thank you so much for ALL the information you have given. I know this video is a couple years old, but still very informative! I set my printer up following your instructions and everything came out great so far! ❤
I emptied the containers that came with the printer and washed them all out (they cleaned out so easy, no residue left at all with just a quick water rinse) lids were never used. I labeled lid first with the color. I then poured the ink into the four bottles, put the correct color lid on each bottle. Each lid is designed to only fit the correct color. I then used the original bottles to fill the tanks. This was so much easier than syringes.
I am not crazy about rinsing the lids and using them on the new bottles as I didn't want to get water in my sublimation ink. I have no doubt it works but I didn't want to recommend that.

@@MJ-ld8iy Yes, I am! It holds a ton of ink, the printing is excellent and I haven't had any issues with it. I have printed over a dozen mugs and the colors are very vibrant. I do suggest giving the image a few minutes to dry. I print on the best quality and to avoid smearing the image i just let it sit for a minuteor two. Its not too big, it fits well on top of my table without crowding. Easy to use and was the best I could get within my budget. I didn't throw away my ink. I ended up using it for my regular printer. (Saved me from buying more cartridges) . Hope this helps!

An alternative to filling the tanks is to discard the standard ink, it washes out perfectly with water, then pour the sublimation ink into the Epson ink bottles (be sure to dry them throughly before filling) this way you can fill the tanks much quicker and using the proper method, the tops of the Epson ink bottles simply unscrew.
I've only ever done vinyl prints and really have been wanting to get into sublimation. Thank you for this video I'm going to try and order everything now!

Glad it helped!
What ink do you use with your Et 2720
@@AngieHolden If I order the epson 2720 can I use the same ink ask you got

Awesome tutorial! I was able to set up my ET-2800 series without any issues after watching this video. Angie ROCKS! Thank you!
I purchased this printer 3 days ago , I’m waiting for my ink and sub paper to be delivered today & now I’m confident!
Hope you enjoy it!
I'm so excited mines coming in 2 days the printer and also the hiipoo ink 😘 on amazon right now it's only $20 for a set of sublimation ink for the Et 4700 can't wait !!!
Angie, thank you so much for all the time you take to make these videos. I just finished setting up my printer. I went with the 2760. It’s a good size for me to start off. You made this process so much easier.
That is awesome!
Are you happy with your printer?
Are you still happy with the et-2760 I'm looking for a printer to convert?
I am just getting into sublimation. Thanks so very much for all the wonderful information. I now feel ready to begin this journey.
You are fantastic with explaining on how to! I really need to get a new printer but was not sure if it was to difficult to use, you made it look like I can do this! Thank you
This is one of the best videos I've seen. Awesome explanation of every step. Thank you.
I literally used your video and followed it step by step to set up my printer after having it for two weeks and too scared to try. You’re an angel! Thanks so much! I made a dish towel and a shirt! You’re the best!👏🏿🙌🏿❤️
Great to hear!
Thank you, thank you! Your video has me confident in buying the sublimation printer that will work for my needs. I've been so confused about sublimation but no more! Your video is detailed and straight to the point! I now get it! Phew, just a lot of stress relief right here. I appreciate your video! Again, thank you!
Amazing thank you because I thought it was going to take me about 2 years to save for a sublimation printer !
Thank you for your awesome directions. I watched another person and she kept talking about her embroidery and saying-“like”
You do such a great job of explaining all this. You’re a great teacher!
Wow, thank you!
@@AngieHolden I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t mean it. That’s what caused me to subscribe! I know I can learn from you.
Thank you so much for making these instructions so easy and explaining how to get started! Love the video!
from start to finish, step by step description of what to do with every little details and tips wow it is just mind blowing thank you so much
Thank you so much 😀
That’s the absolute best video for sub I’ve found yet!!! Great job! Thank you!
Wow, thanks!
I don't recommend this method. Hiipoo actually has ink in the correct bottles now.
I was thinking about doing this too! I wonder why Angie doesn’t recommend it.
I've only ever done vinyl prints and really have been wanting to get into sublimation. Thank you for this video I'm going to try and order everything now!
Good luck!
Great video! I have done my first shirts. The results were fantastic for a beginner. Now, I just have to work on getting my image centered consistently and figure what colors I can sublimate on for best results. I'm looking forward to more videos. Thank you so much!
You got this!
Amazing 6 peace t shirt ruler guide alignment tool
You can sublimate on glow in the dark vinyl and glitter HTV so that means you can use cotton blends.
Thank you so much for so many detailed and informational videos! Love how much time and effort you put in to educating other people 🥰
This was so great Angie! I am sure you know this but I stumbled on the recycled Epson Ink Bottles from Hippo. I didn't need to use any syringes and just filled the tanks with the Hippo Ink according to the Epson directions. Just a thought you might want to update on your description.
I have a whole other video on that.
Tutorial was well presented. The process is so easy. Easier than I thought it would be. My research on this form of printing led me to your channel.
Looking forward to following you for tips and ideas.
😊
Glad it was helpful!
Oh by the way you've just earned yourself a new subscriber - me😁
This vid was like a miracle to me because I've been trying to get a sublimation printer but finances always against me... Long story short, am so so glad to have seen this☺️😁
I HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS EVEN POSSIBLE🙆
Thanks for subbing!
girl, same!
Thank you for your being so detailed when explaining. I just followed along and my ET-2803 it's set and ready! I was super nervous but watching your tutorial was SUPER helpful! 💕
I have the same printer! How did yours turn out?
You deserve way more views and subscribers! Very informative, and you explain things very clearly and in the perfect amount of detail. I just got a Cricut, and I’m exploring all kinds of ways to make shirts and other products for an Etsy shop. I’m so happy I found your channel, your videos are probably going to help me answer lots of questions as I learn!
Wow, thank you!
Angie, thank you so much for everything that you do! I am about to add the ink into my new printer. Thank you so much! You make everything so easy. I appreciate all of the instructions SOOOO much!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for your tutorials. They are so informative. I absolutely love my Epson converted sublimation printer. I just made my first mug after watching most of your videos a few dozen times. Looking forward to learning more. Next onto t-shirts. Thanks again!
Glad you like them!
Hi Jennie 👋 I just finished setting mine up and wondering if you could please answer a question for me? I’m not sure if I am supposed to leave the printer on or not, do you turn yours off?
@@p.peacock7403 No
This has been bouncing around in my mind for sometime now. I ended up with 2 of the Epson 4200s last year with no way to return either.... Long story. Your video has made up my mind for me! Oh, I hope you didn't throw away that Epson ink because you can dye paper with that.
I actually gave it to someone that could use it!
You can dye paper with it?, cool
@@LadyG1 how
How can you die paper?
Thank you so much for this information. It’s really appreciated ! I’m really getting into making personalised tote bags and I like the idea of sublimation - feel like you can use more colours and be more creative than using HTV.
Glad it was helpful!
I LOVE HOW DETAILED YOU EXPLAIN THINGS! Like, questions I am thinking of while watching these videos, you answer! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
This is SO cool, I had no idea you could do this!!
It is so good!
Immensely comprehensive and clear. Thank you for this amazing effort, I know how much goes into making videos like this!
You're very welcome!
What kind of software do you use for sublimation? I know cricut won’t let their stuff cross from cricut unless you know something I don’t know! Please share all design software for sublimation!!
Great intro into sublimation ink printing. Best one I have seen on how to get started cheaply.
Ty. I’ve literally learned so much from your video beginners help! ❤️👑
Happy to help!
thank you so much for this tutorial! So did all the steps here except that I used the inks that came with the epson printer and the design came out blurry. like the ink got messed up. I wonder if I need to chang the paper. I used paper from printer's jack that i got on amazon. help.
The ink that comes with the printer is not going to work for sublimation.
Great Video, My Wife wants this set up and I had no Idea about any of this. After watching your Video I know everything she needs to get started. Thank you so Much for such a detailed video, I could even probably do all this........But I will leave that for the Wife. She is going to be so happy on Christmas morning. Have a Fantastic Holiday Season!!
Glad I could help! That sounds amazing!
Love this video! Thank you so much for all the amazing info! I’m not convinced I need one! Just got a maker replacing my air explore 2 and now I’m excited for this
I'm convinced I need one!😆
This video was everything!! Thank you sis!! I can't for more.
You are so welcome
Angie, I had bookmarked your link to the printer a while back waiting on funds. I went to the Target link and they were out of the 4700. I kept going back and finally they had some so I ordered one. I hope your link was still active so you get the credit. I've been doing I've been doing laser engraving for just over a year and I'm just getting started with sublimation and your videos are great. Thank you for all you do for others.
Good luck!
The color after pressing is amazing! Thank you for another great video. The chapters (even listed in the description) is a helpful tool.
Glad you like them! Trying to do chapters on all future videos to help a bit!
Thank you for this very interesting new video, I'm only just learning about sublimation ❤ 🇬🇧
Glad it was helpful!
Okay so I did everything you mentioned. Thank you so much for assisting me. The first thing I made was our business logo on a 15oz mug.
Fantastic!
Sam's Club has parchment paper... two huge rolls for like $15. Cheapest protection paper around.
Awesome video!! but please, don't just toss away the original ink that came with the printer, send it to me! There's some of us who need the printer for regular printing too and will happily take your inks if you're not gonna need them :) (I'll even pay for the shipping!)
I "tossed" it to someone that needed it locally.
@@AngieHolden yay!
Thank you Angie for sharing all your Knowledge on Sublimation You have been a massive help i converted an Brand new epson eco tank 4800 as per your instructions .and it worked perfectly.
Wonderful!
30 whole minutes just to add ink into the printer
RUclipsrs do this for the money, they have to hit a certain amount of minutes to get money
Why would you choose a brand and method that takes a lot longer? No way I’m using this. I’ll buy Cosmos
It's really not that big of a deal... she didn't tell you that you HAD to use the same ink she did. Chill.
